when Ellie sang "Take on me" the part "I'll be gone in a day or two" reminded me of when she leaves Dina and JJ to find Abby, and she came back to the farm and found no one :(
Truly broke my heart when I got to that part, I cant wait to see if she ever finds them again I truly hope she does. For just a game it sure does hit hard..
Yeah, but if you pay close attention, you notice things. 1. She doesn't call out to Dina, leading me to believe she KNEW Dina wasn't there. 2. Her fingers have been correctly amputated. Where Abby bit her fingers was up higher towards the first knuckles. So, someone has done work on her hand (doctors in Jackson). 3. This is the most important one..the night Ellie left for California she did NOT have Dina's bracelet on. When she appears at the farmhouse, you can clearly see it on her right wrist. I think these are all clues that her and Dina are actually back together and living in Jackson.
Honestly out of all the crazy shit that happens in this game, the fact that Ellie looses two fingers and cant play the guitar destroys me the most. That is the hardest thing for me to cope with. Seriously hurts so much.
Don’t feel sorry for them, man. Those people knew what they were doing when they chose to look at the leaks. It’s their fault they are missing out on one of the most beautiful game experiences in history.
As one of the people who never gave the game a chance when it first released all I can say is I’m annoyed I never played it sooner I wasn’t too happy that I had to play as Abby but the scenes with Ellie were perfect
But its gonna be always better than tlou 2🥲at least there was joel and ellie aas a lil fun smiling kid not like in tlou2.we are gonna miss so much joel he was the best game character🥲😭i wish it was a differesnt story so joel didnt die😭😭😭😭🫠
This rendition of Take on Me has been stuck in my head again since the TV series launched. A simply phenomenal game with breath-taking performances by both Troy Baker and Ashley Johnson. I only wish I could play the games again for the first time.
It reminded me of my best friend since the 2nd grade. She passed in 2020 at 21 exactly a month before her 22nd.. hope you're doing alright even tho I have no idea who you are lol.
Just realized that Joel probably wrote that song shortly after he had Sarah and stopped singing and playing after losing her. That was the first time he ever sang and played after losing her. They NEED to include that in the show.
The song is a Pearl Jam song called Future Days released in 2013. Which makes sense in the game timeline as the outbreak happened in that year but in the TV series it happened in 2003, so it'll be interesting if they keep it or use a different song.
She didn't leave him. He left her. "Everyone I've cared for has either died, or left me. Everyone fucking except for you. So don't tell me I'd be safer with someone else because the truth is I'd just be more scared." - Ellie *last of us 2:* *Beginning - Joel goes golfing* *Ending - Ellie walks into forest alone*
@@phdfloppa7178 I loved joel he did what he should. Abby did what she should no blame. It's such a masterpiece that you can't find the bad guy or the good guy
Ive played this game and watched playthroughs and other videos of this game countless times, but for some reason on this one did Joel’s “Im trustin’ you” in the first 20 seconds hit me and how it relates to Ellie choosing to trust Joel at the end of Part 1
The dull pluck sound that you can hear from Ellie not being able to properly play the A and D chords in Future Days after losing her fingers is just so damn heartbreaking.
The song is Ecstasy, by Crooked Still. It's the song that plays when Ellie and Dina kiss. Additionally, you can hear it play when Dina is doing the dishes and asks you to put on a record. (which is Shaken By A Low Sound, a real album by Crooked Still. It plays after the first song, which is Ain't No Grave.)
I think it's more so because of how heavy the second game is, and how risky it is to kill off a main and beloved character. That was the intention though, to really drive home the heaviness of the apocalypse. I've never played the games (don't have console) But I've watched hours worth of content for both games, and I know that if I ever got the opportunity to play both games myself, I would be wrecked emotionally. Both of these games are truly a heart wrenching master piece.
Why don't people like part two(major spoiler): 1. It killed off our most beloved character too quickly. 2. You play as Abby for a big part of the game, and Naughty Dogs makes you sympathize with her. 3. Ellie did not get her revenge at the end.
@sup0ds she forgave. She didn't want to carry all that hate in her heart, but it was too late. She lost what she presently had because of what she had lost. Losing the finger is a metaphor for that
I just got done watching the first game I know I'm really late but I was afraid to watch it because I'm not good with scary things. I watched a few episodes of part 2. And I haven't even got to most of these songs. I only heard the first one. I love ellie so much and just something about her voice and knowing what I do just makes me cry 😭😭😭😭😭😭
No puede haber una canción más exacta para saber lo que sentía Joel en ese momento,la verdad no hay otra cosa que admiración por naugthy dog ,están en todo!!!
