i dont blame Frank for screaming like that in the canon ending tbh. most of a week with zero sleep, fighting and killing thousands of zombies, rescuing several people of various competency and mobility, fighting and defeating multiple insane people, taking down a Cult, eating literally anything laying around, watching his helicopter out of there crash, contracting the Zombie Parasite, fighting literal drones and Spec-Ops soldiers while hunting down cure ingredients, and then being chased by a tank while shooting it with a .50cal on a humvee... that's a LOT for a simple journalist to be going through!! let it all out Frank, seriously! then get inside the tank for a nap!
@@sethgaston8347 best melee attack to use on that guy is the somersault kick, it takes large chunks of health off him but the button-timing for that is tricky and most people don't practice Frank's Melee attacks
Ending A is a rollercoaster of emotions. I still vividly remember the first time I saw it, I felt the exact same emotions that Frank did; disappointment that the pilot wasn’t there, excitement when he does fly in, devastation when he suddenly gets attacked out of nowhere, and then you’re left with Frank staring hopelessly at the crash while a horde of zombies casually rolls in to claim his life. Frank spent the entire game keeping a cool head and constantly cheating death when everyone else in the mall lost their minds or their lives, but this was Frank’s breaking point. Like goddamn, I don’t think I’ve ever played a game that genuinely left me floored like Ending A did in Dead Rising.
In fact now that it makes sense in what you say, he was a journalist or photographer, but keeping a cool head to try to save everyone he could and get out of there alive is something that should be applauded in Frank
I honestly like how in Ending B. He’s still referred to as “Fred” or Ed getting his name wrong. It’s a hint that nobody will ever know the name of Frank West because of how he never got his story.
I always liked to think that in ending B and ending E Otis falls off of the chopper and lands close to the zombies. He survives the fall but can only crawl away and then his radio link malfunctions and starts to go off luring all the zombies to him. Karma for all the times he chewed out Frank for accidentally hanging up.
I can't believe my 11 year old self being scared as shit from start to finish of this game managed to get a S-RANKED ending looking back on it. Normal Difficulty of course,BUT my nerves were always relentless.
The part that always gets me is when Brad turns and he wants you finish him off and when Jessie turns and kills the soldiers cutscene’s those moments kinda stuck with me the most….
I always found it funny how depending on Frank’s efforts, the pilot would fly straight to the helipad and survive, or randomly decide to do a stop by and seal his fate. They don’t make games like they used to 😂
Man ending a always breaks my heart. Both of them so happy, just for one to end up dead and the other one to be completely hopeless on the rooftop surrounded by zombies
Ending *S* surrounded by horde of Zombies. But how to escape is a mystery. 7/10 Ending *A* Plot Twist 😢 1.5/10 Ending *B* saves a Lot survivors including the player. Lead them to safe place. 9/10 Ending *C* pilot gets killed by a Zombie. 1/10 Ending *D* player gets kidnap By the Military. 2/10 Ending *E* same as *B* Ending. Except the player. Ether try to escape out alive or get eaten by Zombies 🧟 🧟♀️🧟♂️ 6/10 Ending *F* Worst Ending ever! But nice Fallo☢️t style. 4.5/10 Ending *Z* tortured and Punishedment. 2.4/10
I’m being honest, my most respectable ending was probably E. It resembles the sacrifice that Frank made because in the start, he only went in for the news and freelance. But in ending E, He fended them off not knowing that Ed arrived leading the survivors to leave.
@zaope I saw the berleezy playthrough, and he got the trick ending, aka ending A cause after Frank kneels down the Latina girl, goes onto the roof and saves him
I mean realistically it works out pretty well for the rest of America since the spec ops contain it to willamstte and kill off most if not all the zekes. Wouldn't be a stretch to say they could also get others out and process them for a while before deciding to let them go or such
@@UltraPtLord yeah I had to look it up hate when publishers do that its read as "official canon" and explains the 2 year gap it's called road to fortune
@@UltraPtLord I hate it when writers make nonsensical things happen to move a plot forward, just put a little more thought into narrative flow is all I'm asking!
Thank you for understanding, there are people who think I used the word remaster while the announcement for the deluxe remaster came out, but the word remaster was there since I published the video, now that it's showing why am I going to remove it? any content creator would leave the word remaster in the title of the video
I guess the S ending is true? I think I seen that somewhere before; I guess he’s cracking under the pressure. Wasn’t there something showing him on the helipad and a zombie is about to get him but the Isabella girl shoots it?
@@UltraPtLord thats a quiet zombie to be able to sneak in unnoticed. like dr1 zombies dont sneak like that. usually theres always the sound to tip one off.
Simply put, it snuck aboard when thr pilot was getting ready. Similar one in ending c when he took too long to look for Frank till he got eaten. Eventually when the zombie regained his balance, got to the pilot and ate him before dying in thr crash
@@theshadowdanger0152 This is gonna help you better Don't solve all of the cases and don't be at the helipad on time. Ed lands the helicopter, but can't find Frank. He is about to leave when Otis comes out and all the survivors board the helicopter and leave the mall while a zombie watches them.
@@UltraPtLordthat is ending C but theres an alternative way to get it by not talking to Isabella during the last few hours and completing all the cases
Ending C is when you solved all cases but failed to reach the helipad which is the similar building Ed landed for ending A if Frank made it. End E is when Frank failed to collect all the cases and never showed up in time which showed Frank still in the mall. Otis with Jessie and the survivors are still there till they heard the helicopter
@@UltraPtLord ok, now it makes sense. I thought before like the tank was broken down or something. But I looked a gameplay and realized it wasn’t. I think I skipped the cutscene before.
@@UltraPtLordNo. you just have to fail the cases, doesn’t matter how many survivors you’ve saved to get it. (But you do get small variations on how many you saved)
@@cole009productions7you have to complete all the cases up until the “Last Resort” case. Do not trigger this case or else you will start the Bomb Collection case which will not only give you the explosion ending if you fail but also prevents you to save Brad when you complete it. Dr. Barnaby cannot be saved because if Barnaby doesn’t turn into a zombie and die in the cutscene before timer of Last Resort starts, then you cannot save Simone who is the last survivor you have the option to save. So much rules you have to follow I agree, but I hope this helps.
no, there was already the word "remaster" since I published the video, that's probably why I've doubled the views on the video since the Deluxe Remaster was announced
