You know, these endings make me wonder if Gnarl is the original overlord because in every game, he seems to manipulate all overlords, he pretends to serve them but I wonder if he doesn't actually use them, which makes me wonder if he is not the very first overlord who manipulates his successors or something like that.

I always get the "neutral" ending, for the simple fact that I can't resist exterminating the gnomes. :-)

...I have played this game I have no idea how many times, and I never realized that was one of the moral choices. I had thought it was just a side quest with no impact besides the gnome champion hat.

The problem is there is a third overlord game but for some reason they decided to go in a completely different direction that made it forgettable and hurt the franchise as a whole.

@@vullord666 that was never intended to be overlord 3 tho it was just a spin off that wasn't well received. I hope they continue on from 2 there's lots they could do with it still I reckon if there's still a big enough following for them to do so I guess time will tell

I'm coming here to watch the ending after my game crashed. I went through all the trouble fighting the controls on that last boss and didn't even get to see the final cutscene. What a crock

We definitely need another Overlord game. Not a co-op game. A proper Overlord 3 game where we have the grandson or granddaughter of the first Overlord taking the mantle, similar to how you start Fable 2. It wouldn’t hurt to choose between an Overlord or an Overlady to play as. It would be cool if they added a character creation to the game. Of course the main character should remain silent through the entire game.

I think it's an option to stream on PS Now, but honestly it's pretty easy to run on a PC if streaming it isn't an option

As opposite to the first Overlord which gave us choices between good or bad karma and good or bad mistress for good or bad conclusions, Overlord 2 doesn't allow us any possibility to make a good choice, every choice is bad karma in this game, we only get to choose between mind control or slaughter, all 3 mistresses are selfish as opposite to Rose who was an altruistic mistress, and all conclusions are bad, there is not a single conclusion in which people are happy, they are either tormented or dead, this is why I didn't like Overlord 2 as much as I liked the first Overlord, because they removed the choice to be a good tyrant who makes people happy from us and they forced us to be selfish, which I don't enjoy, I miss the first overlord and I wish he will return to spank his psychopathic son...

@@catnipflowers5803 That's my point exactly because the original Overlord was not necessarily about being evil since it gave us CHOICES to earn good or bad karma like Fable however Overlord 2 took away karma and imposed to be evil whether we want to be or not which makes the new Overlord a plain character since he is plain evil and has nothing else to him. 😒

@@Volik.. Indeed but I was asking if they referred as "the original overlord" to the original overlord that we replaced in the first game while he possessed the wizard or to the original playable overlord who beat the original overlord who was the final boss. 😏
