I paid $1.09 to experience OVERLORD for the first time… 

I played Overlord 1 and 2 on original hardware. Those games were so fucking good.

This was a proper series with multiple games and even on the Nintendo DS … crazy the effort this had in 2007

Overlord 1 and 2 were absolute legendary games. You can feel the devs passion for the game when you play it, they weren't even close to being as half assed as 80% of games nowadays are.

thisis a childhood classic for me, loved the sequel too. it was so fun watching someone discover it completelly from 0. it may be a $1 dollar game now but it was one of the big ones yeaaaaars ago, like can you imagine someone finding dark souls for $1 in the year 2050?

Overlord thakes me back. This game series was so much fun. I loved the dark humor. It would be great if someone would do a remaster keeping all of the humor intact.

Overlord was my jam back when I was younger. The DLC and the sequel are great too, shame there never was a third one, only that weird ARPG spin-off attempt.

Fun fact, there was an old official website of overlord that makes you download a program that let you have a minion on your desktop that you can beat up

I used to play this way back as my first game on the Xbox as a kid before it red ringed, and honestly probably a wonderful game to get for cheap, it's immaculate for a 2007 title.

Been rockin' the name Overlord1219 for probably 15+ years because of this game. was my first game on 360 and since then i'm always drawn to any game/class that has summoning/commanding/minions/conjuration or anything of the sort lol. also the story and humor in this game was way ahead of its time! great video.

Man, Overlord was like one of my childhood games and probably one of my favorite games of all time. I remember watching my brother play it when I was a kid almost right when it was released and being mesmerized. I watched my brother play overlord 1 and overlord 2 and I even remember him waiting for us to finish 2 together. I think a lot of the "edgy" and dark tastes I currently have come from just watching overlord. Now I have in my own steam library all the overlord games and I played it myself and dude, they are wonderful games, very well made, with new and original ideas for the time and with their own unique identity. Watching a video of the original Overlord from just a few days ago has brought back many good memories, sadly they are not such recognized games, they deserved much more. Thank you very much for trying it and giving it a chance, they are truly hidden gems.

Ah yes, Overlord, or as I like to call it, Mean Pikmin. It's a super cool concept that was surprisingly well executed on a console back in the day.

Overlord is honestly one of the best games i have ever played. Came back to it multiple times and probably will again somewhere in the future.

DUDE!!! this was a childhood game of mine! played it thousands of time, both the first and the sequel, had an absession with only using the green assasin minions and to redecorate the towers!

these games are such a gold mine of comedy i highly suggest giving this a legit playthrough and then playing overlord 2 it's even FUNNIER then this one

Would suuuuper love to see more episodes of this game. I’ve been a longtime fan of it for YEARS, and it was really cool to see someone’s in game commentary as they played it for the first time. You’ve barely scratched the surface too! Additional minions with different abilities and combat roles (ranged/stealth/support) addition spells, cosmetic upgrades for your evil tower, and don’t even get me started on upgrading the overlord! This game has a TON of cool areas to explore, choices that help ad variety to your playthrough as well as a super cool story with a bit of a twist at the end! (No spoilers tho😉). The witty commentary from Gnarl as you slay and pillage and the personality of your minions as they acquire special gear/cosmetics are just the cherry on top! The DLC is far from required, but it’s real fun to do all the content it offers alongside your normal progression throughout the game, as well as expanding on the larger lore of the Overlord world overall I consider it worth a buy, as all its content is easy to relatively easy to start after you have all the minion types.

This was such an influential game for me growing up. Glad to see it getting some love

This game was an amazing classic, and the only way we are getting more is if RU-vid realizes that and every RU-vidr makes a video essay about it. Alos fun fact, the first game had a DLC where you attack hell and it was amazing. The second game just shaved off content and sold it separately, and now, for some reason, you can't get it anywhere. So you can't fully upgrade the spells in the second game because the DLC is not being sold on Steam for some reason.

This one definitely has PlayStation 2 vibes. Never heard of it before but it felt nostalgic and it was fun to watch you play.

This game has always been nothing short of amazing. Truly ahead of its time. You didn't even get into all the towerupgrades and basebuilding, which is also incredibly fun to see your tower turn into a citadel of evil overtime.

Bro, this game was so much fun, i remember playing it and just having fun kicking jester and smacking my minions and stuff as a kid. Great memories. If you haven't played Fable 1 yet, I'd recommend it to you too.

Nice to still see new people play this game. This game was pretty fun. You get more minion types and various spells later on. You even get a dungeon/arena where you can fight against any mob you've defeated before.
