Barter 6 is probably one of the best trap albums of all time. When i first heard it i thought it was alright. Then when i revisited it i had a stank face on the whole album and was blown away how he just skis on every single beat on the project
everyone's talking about how consistent NAV is with not goods, and how consistent Denzel Curry is with 8/10s, but no one ever mentions how many "strong 4 to a light 5" reviews Young Thug gets lmao
He doesn’t think the albums are very cohesive, or consistently great, but he recognizes that through it all he’s doing something really interesting and groundbreaking
the thing with thug is we all know he has obvious talent at this point, its just that thug's album are mostly just sibgle song albums rather than a full album experience. im sure thug is capable and if he did can drop more objectively great albums.
@@runitup1600 I disagree, Jeffery and beautiful thugger girls to me felt like that full album experience and I'd argue so much fun as well. Thug style is off the wall and heavy experimentation, I never go into his album expecting a crazy amount consistency due to him trying new things constantly and me as a listener might having to have it grow on me.

Bruh no way Melon gave both Slime Season 3 and Barter 6 both 5 out of 10. Both of those are some of Thugger's best projects and Barter 6 is at least deserving out an 8.

This guy lives to trash thug but out the other side of his mouth says he “respects” him. I’m biased as Ive listened to thug everyday the last 11 years but he’s consistently put out unreal projects. Are there some misses in each of them? Sure absolutely. But the majority of the songs on each project he’s put out (and at least 70% of his leaks) are either bangers or songs I connect to emotionally at a deep level. Some people including this dope just don’t have the capacity to feel the emotion through thugs voice and the beat. Young thug was way ahead of his time and his songs have only gotten better with age. why nobody talk about Slime Season 2, for me, its BETTER then Barter 6, they are released in short difference time betwen but the sound in slms2 its soo
Hot take I guess but Slime Language 2 is a 9/10 for me. The only skips are the two songs by his sisters 😭 And calling it bloated isn't even fair. Its a YSL album first and foremost, not a Young Thug album. Obviously it will have every artist signed to the label.
Tbh, i dont watch this guy but it seems its just not his type of music. In terms of trap Giving Jeffrey only a 7,and barter 6 a 4 is absolutely diabolical 😭. Barter 6 is a 9.5 to 10, Jeffrey is a 9, two of the best trap albums ever, so all of these rankings are horrible
