All feelings are meant to be felt. Chronic pain is emotional. The definition of pain is 'a sensory and emotional experience'. A key to recovery is to learn to be open to feeling and acknowledging all our emotions. I call this "feel it to heal it". There is no such thing as a bad emotion- all emotions are all part of the natural human experience. How we really feel needs to be honestly and openly felt and acknowledged, otherwise we trap the feeling in the body and it adds tension and can create symptoms like pain.
Jim Prussack PT is the founder of The Pain PT and works with people worldwide who are suffering from chronic pain and other chronic health disorders. Jim uses a brain and nervous system approach to healing that focuses on recovery vs. just managing the symptoms. He can be found at www.thepainpt.com

Great videos Jim. Keep them coming! Wondered if you ever might do a video on managing a typical day when pain cycles to its peak? Those days when rational mind seems to shut down and you still have to manage pain... acceptance through the worst day? Thanks again.
