I have arachnophobia. Not that massive but let's just say, I am scared of spiders and they make my skin crawl so bad but I don't hate them. I would love to see a spider monster, but it would definitely be my least hunt. I'm scratching my body while commenting this.
@@dchavis50 sadly we know its not gonna happen, it is a low tier monster and we at the endgame, with (i hope) strong elders approaching, they won'tbring it back now, maybe next mh game along with zamtrios and uroktor plus other
Maybe you can set an eye on the upcoming Wild Hearts. So far every monster there is animal like, but with a "mutation". So far there are monsters that base on raccoon, rat, wild hog, wolf, some bird thing and so on. It's no MH Game, but a MH-like.
My personal favorite is Nergigante. I started with 4U, but Nergigante had that ruthless warrior feel about him. No tricks, no energies or breath attacks, just straight up strength, savagery, and skill. A badass, through and through. Edit: Also, the way he b***h slaps Rajang during their fights never fails to make me smile. That dude needed humbling for the longest time!
You are right that was a tough battle. I thought this battle was that darn unicorn so I sent out some flares and then Asian dudes came to the rescue man they wrecked him for me. It was really a good experience it was like four in the morning and they literally came and destroyed him
My very most memorable time in monster hunter was the unicorn battle. At the time I hadn’t realize to stay back a certain distance and watch for the lightning on the ground. Anyways I popped a flare and it was like three or 4 AM and the Asian community came and saved me. These dudes came in and just wrecked him very quickly. I was very impressed I was pretty decent at the time myself but yeah man good times
@@Hungrybird474 man do I feel u on this that 1st tempered fight was ungodly I had to pray the Koreans got my bat signal 😭😭 which like u said they made kebabs out his ass real quick 🤣
I started playing at MHFU, but my favorite flagship has by far been the gore Magala. The aspect of the virus, his transformation into shirigu Magala, and his overall brutality is just fantastic.
Same...i started with mhfu too..but ill always like kushala, after i watch its ecology video where he shed his skin on top of snowy mountain...coolest elder for me...
Honestly, Malzeno, Nergi, Seregios and Astalos are all fantastic monsters with fantastic fights. I can't wait to fight whatever gen 6' flagship will be, because they're pretty much always wonderful fights.
Agreed, Valstrax is my favorite flagship and I already like Malzeno just as equally that I'd like to see both in MH6 even if one might not fit the Main team's more grounded approach and the other is too new.
They've done that in 4th gen, I believe it's in MH double cross, almost all monsters since that generation, all in 1 game (well except for the likes of dire miralis, cadeus and other underwater exclusive monsters)
Mine was kinda weird. I started with the MH4 Demo, but then my friend lend me his copy of MH3 on the Wii. Gore Magala was super intimidating in the demo, and nothing was quite as menacing as Lagia underwater with those glowing eyes. But I would have to say my favorite is Nergigante. I never get bored of the fight, I love the lore behind it, and World is when I really started to commit myself to the series, even getting me to return to Generations and finish it.
Yeah. A lot of people seem to have the impression that if it's brought back, it'll just be as bad as it was before But with a bigger team, more experience, better technology, and having learned from past mistakes, there's no reason to think they won't have an improved or even perfected version of the underwater combat system (If it's brought back)
@@DarkDoughnutsVids Underwater is actually harder but not too problematic to control. I mean on the 3DS it was only trash without the New DS right dpad, or a device that added a right joystick So I want it back Goldbeard Ceadeus for example
Nergigante has got to be my absolute favourite alongside Gore Magala. Although I do hunt Lagi every month religiously, I hope it'll return in Sunbreak or the next MH game because omg I miss this leviathan. quick edit, Seregios is my second honerable mention with Lagiacrus for sure
Snake Wyvern flagship, imagine a blind snake wyverns that uses echolocation to “see”, it has dark scales on its back and light brown scales on its belly with a line of green scales on its sides to help it camouflage itself in caves, underneath desert sands or even on tree tops, whenever it uses its echolocation giant flaps appear on its head that have a ring like pattern with a dark blue dots in the centre that makes them look like giant eyes, this can also be used to ward off and scare other creatures but will also be constantly open when the monster is enraged, the flaps can be broken which causes the monster’s abilities to track the player to worsen. Edit: I haven’t thought much about its elements/ailments utilization but I imagine it having a disk shaped tongue tip (bear with me) that’s coated with a paralytic agent, it’s generally “flaccid” but becomes stiff when the tongue muscles are tensed, the monster can then dislocate two bones located on the sides of the inside of its mouth to press hard on the disk from both sides and launch its stretchy long disk shaped paralytic tongue into its prey. Edit 2: the monster has no limbs (unlike Najarala) and so it generally crawls, but it can also secrete a slimy slippery substance through openings on the side of its body that allow for faster movement, this is only utilized when the monster deems it necessary (ie when it critically injured and needs to escape or when it’s fighting other predators and strong adversaries)
I want another undoubtedly intelligent monster. When I first saw Fatalis in MHW, the cutscene showed it analyze us with a deeply sinister stare. The game becomes much more intense when you’re not hunting monsters, but instead fighting for your life against another apex Monster Hunter.
My favorite flagship is definitely Glavenus, followed by Gammoth, just because Sword Carnotaurus is so dang cool to me, but Gammoth is just a unique monster I cant help but love it
Malzeno has become my new favorite all time favorite monster, not just flagship. Everything about him is just amazing. Fight, design, armor skills and design, weapon skills and design, theme and even to some extent lore. They didnt miss at all with malzeno and i am very excited for potential variants/ future games with malzeno
I started with the first Monster Hunter, but Tigrex and Nargacuga were probably my favourite flagships for the longest time. They were just so different going from 1st gen to 2nd. The movement and abilities were just unlike everything that came before.
You and I both began in MHF2 and I went through the same thing, didn't enjoy how tough it was to fight so I put it down for a few months only to come back and then Monster Hunter just became one of my favourite game series as well. I'd have to say that Glavenus would be my favourite flagship monster very closely followed by Gore, and I agree that it is more enjoyable when they design a monster outside of the wyvern/dragon base type. I,e Ahtal-Ka or Dalamadur
It’s good to see that Arekkz’s reason for loving Tigrex is the same exact reason for why I love Diablos. Such a beautifully difficult monster that absolutely destroyed me my first time playing World and it didn’t make it any better knowing it made the best Charge Blade at the time so it was almost as if it was taunting me. lol I love this series and with Rise coming out on game pass this week I’m hoping to finally be able to get my friends to see the best part about Monster Hunter.
Mhw was my first and saw the star difficulty of charge blade and said let’s do it 😂I’ll never forget the rath that comes in the beginning and I’m thinking it’s some legendary monster just to learn it was a basic monster. So I have a soft spot because it was a good first impact and intro into the game. And I really didn’t know charge blade for real until a month before iceborne and I learned you could charge your shield 😭no guide learning was rough.
We're the same, started in MH freedom and bought it for the same reason, as a kid, I love the idea of combining both apex predator into one (tiger + t-rex), I even put tigrex in my top 5 fav. monsters of all time when I was a kid, but that list changed, my current favorite flagship monster is zinogre.
Capcom always come up with unique and awesome flagship monsters for their monster hunter series and I'm excited to see what they come up with for the next mh game😁
Been playing since the original and although Rathalos will always hold a special place in my heart (12 year old me was so excited to finally kill him), my favourite flagship has to be Nergigante. Everything about it from its appearance, the theme music and its moveset is brilliant. The fight as a whole is challenging whilst also being so much fun.
My favorite flagship monsters are Tigrex, Seregios, Glavenus, Nergigante, and Valstrax. Fun hunts with them and love hunting them. Just love their aesthetics and design along with their weapons and armor sets. I started my first MH game with MHF2 so I'm a long time veteran of the whole franchise. So nostalgic and I can't wait til the next game for next gen for what they have in store for us! Happy hunting everyone! Monster Hunter will never die!
Other Flagships : "You are on this council, but we do not grant you the rank of flagship." Diablos (shocked, looking at Bloodbath in disbelief) : "What? How can you do this ? This is outrageous ! It's unfair !"
I started with 3u and didn't know what I was doing. Especially with the skill system. Luckily, I found an awesome group that helped explain different mechanics. We still play together to this day, although not always on a mh game. I'd say my favorite flagship would be Brachydios though, even though I got tired of hunting him to get all his gear.
My favorite has and probably always will be lagicrus. I love the underwater leviathan cobra thing it has going on. And the feeling of fighting it underwater where you truly felt like you were fighting it in it's domain. Chef's kiss. It's a shame it really hasn't shown up since generations. Would love to see it come back.
It amazing, everyone talking about their history in their world. My favorite was Nergigante. The epic battle I had seeing my old rival and we clashing our blades! What history we had!
My favourite is definitely Tigrex. It's just so raw, pure and genuinely interesting to fight because it's so aggressive and barely leaves you any room to breathe. Though as someone who started the series with the very first Monster Hunter back in the day, Rathalos will always have a special place in my trophy room. I'd love to see the next flagship be something radically different. Maybe an arachnid, like a titanic 9-tailed scorpion with wings or some crazy shit like that.
I'll always be partial to nergy. Simple and brutal with a lot of subtle tech to the fight. But malzeno is a close second for me. He just screams elegance, feels more like a dual than a hunt.
The Gore Magala was my fav based on the story and it's lore. Loved the second form also as that final battle if I recall correctly, it turned like a white color. Otherwise, I'd love to see more random animal monsters. We've had those insects like that Hercules beetle and even those large spiders. It'd be really cool to see other types of giant animals. Maybe even a giant rat of some sort haha Ohhhh yeaaahhh we need more map sized monsters! like that giant serpent that wraps around a mountain. I miss fights like that. I want a monster so big that it makes our hits feel insignificant hahaha
I'm just a World-babby but hot damn if Nergigante isn't an amazing monster. One of my favourite fights in that game, even if he kicks my ass occasionally.
Started with 4U, and although Gore has a wonderful spot in my heart as being one of the main monsters to get me into buying the game (other being Lagombi because bunny :3).. I have to say that I love Mizustune a bit more. Excited to reach it in Rise! (just hit 3 Star as I started playing earlier this month)
Personally my favorite is Nergigante, it was the first MH game I played and I absolutely love his lore about how one to multiple of them are basically existing to kill elder dragons and keep the ecosystem correct
This brings back so many memories. I played monster hunter 3 ultimate when I was around 13 (about 11 years ago come to think of it) and I remember trying to grind for a brachydios weapon set (that slime buff was so OP back then). I started with rise again (came to game pass) and I genuinely miss fighting the brachydios (and the PTSD from deviljho)
World was my first monster Hunter game and I loved it. Up until nergigante, my favorite monster was rathalos. Nergigante was a beast, fast, super aggressive, and it’s weapons and armor set were pretty gnarly. Come iceborne, I didn’t care for velkana that much as I did shrieking legiana (cuz it was a beautiful monster to fight) and zinogre. Both monsters had awesome armor sets but for weapons, shrieking legiana had (in my opinion) the coolest longsword design. For Rise/Sunbreak, magnamolo is a lot of fun to fight, but for me, I love fighting lunagaron.
Monster Hunter World was my first MH, which is made even more special by the fact I love fighting Nergigante. He actually made me quit the game for a bit & I had my friend kill him for me; then I went onto play countless more hours than my friend & proceeded to really enjoy killing Nergigante with the hammer. It's really satisfying to break his horns & spikes off. I love that he doesn't rely on annoying aoe elemental attacks like most Elder Dragons. Really looking forward to playing Rise on Friday. I would love to see something like a scorpion, crab or salamander.
Started on Freedom on psp, put the most time into unite clocked in about 700 hrs on that game!! Loved Narga, would love to see Lao Shan come back in 4k
Started off with mhfu with my trusty psp who's still working after more than a decade. Narga is still my favorite until now. Seeing him in world in full HD beauty felt like being a kid again. It was like seeing an old friend the way it was glaring at me more clearly in world. Beautiful baby.
Should do a video on all time favorite (non mixed) monster set. Mine would have to be the original seregios. Great skills, and then the weapons sharpen (or reload) automatically every time you dodge?! Too awesome
My favourite flagship and Favourite monster of all time, goes straight to the gore Magala without hesitation, it was this era that got me as into the games as I am now, although I did start at freedom unite, leaving the nargacuga with nostalgia points
my first game was 3ultimate on wii u; bought it on a whim and was instantly addicted. I love Lagi, i Love Brachy, I love gore magala, I love Magnamalo and Malzeno; i didnt play GU but i have it and intend to play so my first intro to valstrax was Rise. I would have to say my fave is probably Lagiacrus. Its just so unique and amazing. For one I want to see, my favorite animal is the peregrine falcon, hawl, and eagle; and I know Valstrax is a falcon-like creature but more regal bird wyverns would be neat to see. (Not goofy ones like the ones we have). Something inspired by the phoenix would be really cool; a regal, noble but imposing bird elder dragon to go toe to toe with the dragon elder dragons like Fatalis. A variant could be like the thunder bird of north american indigenous folklore. and like a dragon element Stygian/Hellfire Phoenix or something. (also some more sea creatures like squids and more insects...so much potential)
I've always love insect or primate momsters so it'll be cool if we get a flagship monster who falls under that. Or at the very least different from the usual wyvern
hope the next flagship monster is a serpent wivern, i hope to see a monster similar to dalamadurr, he is my fav monster and i hadn't had the change to fight it since i started on world and haven't played past games
Lagiacrus will hold a special place in my MH heart since tri was my first and they have yet to bring it back in a suiting way, but I still hold out hope
i would love to have a hydra elder dragon where u fight each head by it's self having one element and when he's about to die he just surfaces from underground with all heads
I hope we get Nergigante in Sunbreak 2 or 3 title updates to go, fingers crossed. Can you imagine dual quest with ruiner nergigante and scorned magnamalo.
As much as I agree with you I feel like magnamalo is the sole reason we won’t get nergigante in sunbreak. But that means he can come in mh6 instead which I am all for
Valstrax will always be my absolute favorite and my forever rival, since he's my wall in both rise and GU Plus I solo IG, we always fought in the sky, and only one will fall down to earth
I'm a moga hunter and I'd really like under water combat to return so another leviathan flagship or a whole other underwater species that carries another flagship
Gore is my favorite, and I see a lot of people sharing the same favorite flagship, yet everyone’s opinion is interesting Gore has been the flagship of a game I truly loved and lived
My all tim favorite fight monster armor set all of the above was the odogaron my first fight with it was awesome and when I finally defeated it was satisfying I wish I could see it in mhr
love all the flagships, most are my favs but my least probably azure rath also love it when a flagship is just pure strength, not a dragon, no element, ailment, anime reference, transformation etc
I started with MHTri on Wii loved i still remember my first time being carried through Alteron i do love Lagiacrus as my first flagship and still stands out as its the only underwater flagship
I personally love rathalos because it's simply a dragon. Like, anything you think of what a dragon is, is basically a rathalos. But, I love Nergigante as well. The elder dragon that eats elder dragons.
My personal favorite poster boy will always be glavenus and its deviant hell blade glavenus, they have the unique move of sharpening their tails with their mouth, but my all time favorite monster is the gogmazios, really wanted capcom to reintroduce it to the current series
my favorite monsters to fight is both glavenous they weren't too easy or too difficult, there's something about those bouts that made them feel like you were in a actual sword fight with them in mhw it was awesome and the glaives were cool as hell too
My first game was World, if someone said Monster Hunter to me - Black Diablos would come to mind purely from the sheer PTSD from fighting it for the first time
I remember using a bow and really having fun with it before I stop playing years ago. I just downloaded the extra content and I’m bout to get down boys. This dude on Facebook showed me some really cool layouts for Bose were you can slide around all day and just wreck face long as the one meter stays up . I think I remember I really like using the three shotgun that explodes the bullets explode within seconds was really good
This might be an odd take, but I find my opinion of Favourite and Best Flagship to be separate. Like I always view Gore as the Best Flagship in that on top of being a well made monster, how it's presence is intertwined throughout the game both in our hunter's journey and the game mechanics. However, my Fav will always be the God's Arms, despite how poorly it felt integrated into the game's story. Then there is Lagi who just sits at #2 on both my lists of Fav and Best Flagships.
I started with Freedom 2, too! It's nice to know you did because it feels like no one else did 😂 Tigrex did leave a mark on me both positive and negative. Also, fun fact about Tigrex, only Chico from Peace Walker pronounced its name right. Chico is more canon than Handler 😂 kidding aside, I think Narga overshadowed Tigrex here since I don't hear it talked about quite often. As for my favorite monster, it's gotta be Zinogre. The first flagship to ever have electric guitar on its theme (enhanced in Iceborne, glorious), plus it's the "lightning wolf wyvern", those combo of words sold it for me as a 15-year old. In the future, I hope we get a Fanged Beast monster. It's unique so far and it's from my initial thoughts about MH Paradise (which is a hoax apparently), set in Polynesian-themed islands. Imagine fighting a Rajang that could use weapons...
