I really like Frieza’s golden form. Even though he hates the glow of a Super Saiyan, he was obviously impressed that it never grew dim no matter what he threw at it, and he wanted that same quality for himself.

About the "These two" part of the Toriyama interview, it'd be cool if Cooler was still Cold's son but was born weak, basically not being counted to that quote and getting him disowned. A Cooler, disowned by his family, trains to take revenge and the throne of Empire would be a pretty awesome movie concept.

Freezers people and the Saiyans are the most powerful "fleshly/earthly" specieses in universe 7. All other powerful beings are demons, angels and so on(spirit creatures).

I treat Frieza's golden from more as a power-up rather than an actual form. It seems to be something he could utilize with his lower forms if he wanted, but of course would not be needed. As we know Frieza eventually perfected the golden power-up so he could sustain it for significantly longer periods than previous. When it comes to the fifth form that Cooler can utilize, I would chalk that up to Freiza's laziness and superiority complex in why he wouldn't try to obtain that form. Cooler I could see actually putting in some work to find and achieve a fifth form as he wanted to be the one to eventually take Frieza out himself.

It’s my belief that When Frieza say “I find it difficult to control my power in this form” it’s less about fighting and more about day to day life. For example and action as simple as opening a door would result in Frieza ripping the door off the wall. We find he stays in his final form most times for as he’s gotten better control over his power while basically meditating in hell for years.

11:06 In the English Dub VHS that I have, I think I remember Cooler saying that he was filled with rage towards Frieza, and that rage caused him to transform into his fifth/‘Ultimate’ form. This could imply that it’s very similar to Super Saiyan, which is also traditionally triggered by rage or some other intense emotion.

I'm pretty sure Cooler's 5th form was achieved through rigorous training, much like how Frieza had to train to achieve his 5th form. I'm unsure if they're able to customize their 1st-3rd forms, but it seems like they can freely choose what their 5th looks like, with Frieza having made his gold as a riff on the Super Saiyan.

My favorite form is his final form, fun fact, in mexico we got merchandise before getting the actual anime aired, so lots of people used to believe that it was in fact Freezer's daughter hahahaha

I disagree with cooler being lazier and being more an emperor than a fighter. He immediately came to set out with his own soldiers and went himself to get the job done. He seemed much less reliant on lackies and wasn't afraid to step out on the field to actually fight. Where most freiza did was pick on weaker people and ruled through fear. Even when freiza blew up planet vegeta, he didn't even get out of his pod.

I still loved the idea thrown out by some that Cooler would've been a "cooler" choice instead of Resurrection F. Nonetheless, great video and analysis! #Enders

Frieza's full power form is the same as Ultimate Super Saiyan. Muscle mass goes up but stamina drain is bad, as well as not being as fast. It would be like a boxer tightening his muscles to punch harder and take more punishment. It's going to burn your energy and make you move slower, so you better finish the fight fast or you're going to get out fought.

Yeah, that whole parthenogenesis skit Toriyama pulled out of his pants looks rather ridiculous when you realize Frieza has a mother.

I think that Cooler's 5th form is more like something he made instead of bulking up in his final form like Frieza he trained just a tiny amount to discover how to better utilize his power and thus came his 5th form and it also explains why it's not as strong as Golden Frieza because Cooler just wanted to become a bit stronger than Frieza while it's more than a bit yes it's easier to word it this way because realistically then wouldn't that mean that Cooler has the same if not more potential than Frieza

Dont blame me on this😂 but i honestly dont like how frieza got that huge power boost just after 4 months of training. He literally said in ressurection of F to not mess with Buu (and Beerus). But in just 4 months he's already wayy stronger than Buu. I hate how he overcame the huge power gap between himself and the saiyans in just a short amount of time after all the troubles the Z fighters gone through to reach their power level at the time. #enders

#Enders I thought it was stated somewhere that the longer the frost demons were incubated the greater their potential and overall power would become. Come to think about it, it might have been in a fan manga so I guess that wouldn't apply in canon. However King Cold may have had more power than Frieza but was complacent and thought himself untouchable by all but Beerus and Buu which led to him underestimating Trunks while overestimating himself. If he knew how to sense Ki I bet King Cold would have powered up while Trunks disposed of Frieza. I think he would have been equal to Trunks on the low end and would have required Goku to intervene on the high end. Though he still would have lost in the end but had he been able to sense Ki King Cold wouldn't have been so careless nor would he have underestimated Trucks. I think King Cold was more about delivering a message to the viewers and this is why I think so. King Cold thought he was untouchable because no one could challenge him besides a G.o.D and a mystical creature that hasn't been heard or seen in millenia. In real life those who are born with a golden spoon won't have the same challenges and obstacles to overcome as those who have fought tooth and nail just to survive. Having everything from day one makes you arrogant and self righteous which leads to over confidence and a lack of experience when dealing with the unknown. So I think Toriyama was trying to tell those born with power and privilege to humble themselves and accept that they are no better than anyone else while telling those who had to struggle just to survive that through hard work and dedication they can surpass those obstacles who are considered to be untouchable in our societies and put and end to tyranny that those in power enforce because they think themselves to be the most powerful.

My current Cooler head cannon is that his 5th form is like Freeza's golden form, because it was stated they can manipulate what it looks like Cooler's isn't gold like his brother's.

Freiza power doubled at least to his 3rd form he beats piccolo effortlessly and piccolo is unable to touch him.

Trunks didn't let Kold transform, Kold foolishly assumed that Trunks couldn't win without his sword but when he learned that assumption was false he tried to buy a little time by telling him to wait a minute but Trunks ignored him and blew a hole clean through him. I think that moment Kold tried to buy time was Kold trying to get a chance to transform to give himself a a better chance against Trunks.

It's mere speculation that Frezia created his other three forms to suppress his power. Stating his final form was his true form could just be mere hyperbole, of course it was his true form, because it was his strongest form. Actually if you notice it in context Frezia describes the opposite of that as being true, because this goes back to what Vegeta was saying about transformations being a form of camouflage like in the case of zarbon. Zarbon became handsome because his true form was ugly. But Frezia said the reason he transformed was because he couldn't comfortably contain his power, and you can see he couldn't control his second form battle power as well but he still had some control over it, I believe this meant that his first form could not handle all the power it was acquiring as he grew older. Thus it required three forms of natural evolution in order for Frezia to control his battle power, as his first form grew in power (like a sort of growth spurt from the mutation) the second form was naturally manifested. This is the form Cold got and probably the first transformation of the mutant hybrid species that they were, however Cold peaked out and could not get any stronger. Frezia on the other hand was probably still growing more powerful as he got older thus in order for that power to be contained he evolved into the third form. Further still Frezia's power kept increasing and his body adapted by creating the final form which was the perfect vessel to keep all that power contained. These forms were created because the first form could not comfortably house all the energy he had, which would explain why only the final form has such large percentages of power. Likely 530,000 was what was comfortable for his first form, King cold being much older, his second form was the storage house which could contain the power he had but while he was a mutent his growth in power was probably much slower and gradual. I have a feeling this species gets stronger as they age, but Frezia finally realized they could get stronger by training to. This explanation makes more sense for the simple fact that frezia's first form looks like Chilled, but Chilled cannot transform. His second form looks like cold, instead of Colds natural form looking like frezia's final form, it is because only Frezia and Cooler had the genetic variety and mutation for that transformation to occur. This also explains why only Frost had these forms because he is universe 6 genetic equivalent of Frezia. This also explains why cooler said he could transform one more time than Frezia not only in the Japanese film, but specifically says it is his 4th transformed state in the English dub. Thus cooler had the same genetic mutation as Frezia and learned to control the power of the 3rd transformed levels power which resulted into a new power that could only be contained in his fifth form. The other alternative being that cooler actually had more potential than Frezia so the fifth form was actually another vessel created to naturally house even more excessive energy which would explain why his fourth form was so weak, because the massive amount of energy was stored in his fifth form instead, thus coolers fourth form was much easier to control than frezia's fourth form. Cooler also states anything frezia could do he could also do which is why later on Cooler stacks his golden power on to this form in Dragon ball heroes which indicates they are altogether separate transformations. Frezia also only states that he designed his golden form to look like the Ssj, it is never mentioned or stated that designed any of his other forms at all, the fact that he was ressurected in his first form also indicates that is his true and natural form from birth. It was only after the completion of his four months of training and coming back from the dead during the Top that he was in his final form which only appeared because of how he was brought back to life temporarily. So how is this different than any other transformation that increases power then? It's simple for Ssj it's learned trait that raises ones power. In Freeza's case the forms were created as a by product of the current form not being able to sustain them, which in Freeza's case created three forms in order to house the power. King Colds form only required one transformation which he probably eventually mastered but could not get any stronger and had no genetic make up to aquire. The only form Frezia actually learned through training was his golden form and this seemed to be the only one he could modify to his liking, additionally it only seemed to modify his final forms power and change it a little bit cosmetically which probably indicates this is a different kind of transformation than his other forms were.

Since the Frieza Race seems insectoid (given that no-one else in Cell's DNA suite is insectoid but Cell most certainly is) I would guess that the sleek form is the Birth Form and other transformations are either Downgrades or Upgrades

Well Frieza told the truth. He coulndt maintain that war form because his stamina, strength, speed, endurance and duability were waining over the battle as he took a lot of damage and pushed himself to the point of breaking down.

This is actually incredibly well prepared!! I reañly didn't know Freezer and Cooler in comparison and the implications of the ki with the transformations. On a side note, with your charisma you could be teaching something like "Phyolosophical Physics of the oceans" and you would have many of us really learning.

There is a transformation between Frieza's first form (550,000) and the form he is at his most suppressed state (85000). What I suspect is that crossing a certain power level breaks the basic armor, once you go beyond that threshold the armor can no longer really protect you. The Armor is a way Frieza deceives his enemies, his suppression is a way to hide his true potential, his army probably doesn’t know his total strength but have an idea that is powerful beyond measure or detection, the majesty in Frieza is grand bt his inability to sense power levels shows that the depth of his awareness is limited and his power although remarkable is bulky it prevents him from picking up nuances hence the need to suppress and belong amongst your lower ranking subjects. The state where he expands the Bio Suit or rather cracks through the Basic Armor (note, that can stretch beyond limits when Vegeta transforms into a Saiyan Ape) was I think enough to kill all his combatants on Namek, including Vegeta. Frieza’s aim was to toy with them and kill them off one by one but Vegeta pushed him to a level beyond his ability to contain his anger, Vegeta would have that effect on anyone but because he knows Frieza, he was able to expose his total anger. Like on the game [BudoKai PS2] they speak of something called the “break-guard” (I think Frieza does that with the Basic Armor &he does that as an intimidation tactic), anyway that form must be Frieza's true form emerging. The Bio Suit must be biologically infused with their skin and that is the genius and ingenuity of his race of origin. The original race is a marvel and you would wonder how such a race actually came into being. Thanks for the information

I'm thinking Freeza's boast about using 1% was an estimate boarding on exaggeration. I'm sure he was keeping his power level low, but being able to gauge his power to such a precise percentage seems a bit hard to believe. Up to that point, Goku had been his usual calm, collected and confident self, which knowing Freeza was probably grating and infuriating, (we all know he loves inspiring fear as much as if not more than causing pain) so he put a number on the level of strength he was using to intimidate Goku and wipe that smile off his face when he started taking the fight seriously. Which it absolutely did. One of my favorite panels in the Freeza saga is the one where Goku realizes how much Freeza was holding back and he actually says with a look of terror on his face "He wasn't bluffing"

Nice work on the narration. I enjoyed the insights. The pronunciation of Saiyan/Saiya-jin is my only complaint. It rubbed me as I grew up with the english dub pronunciation but given weeb clash in our particular culture I understand completely (looking at you aluminium). However cutting out the "-jin" in the name rubs me because its like calling humans "hu-" mainly be cause to me i always took the -jin to basically be a stand in for "people". Gah, still thank you for your hard work!

OMG guys i discovered it,king cold CAN transform,since its official that hes power is only slightly inferior to freezas that means that he also has forms to supress hes power since hes around freezas level,maybe he was in hes second form because he didnt have to surpress as much power as freeza.So that means he can transform but hes still weaker than namek freezer,if namek freeza had a power level of 120,000,then i think tha a 105,000 power level suits cold perfectly
