I think it’s even more than that because if the people that Luz loves falls into some sort of danger she feels responsible for it and in rectifying it. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Even if she wasn’t even there. And she feels like she, and she alone, can correct this mistake that isn’t even completely hers most of the time…So…ummm after S3’s finale…her guilt is probably bigger than and more powerful than a Titan right now. Also, here’s an additional gut punch, Luz also felt way outta place in her the Human world, despite just being herself, as we all know. But BI is the first place that has accepted EVERYTHING about her, gave her a wonderful life, and gave her room and time to grow into, well, a Badass. But she feels is always putting people in danger for trying to help her or cause trouble for them somehow since her appearance on the BI changed the game ince the beginning (BUT SHE COULDN’T HAVE KNOWN THAT!), so to pay them back she puts other first and is very selfless, but she shows a very genuine disregard for her safety/feelings of others in the BIG moments, especially. I understand why Amity is so worried about her now…

That's why I liked the whole episode about trying to discover if Mildred Featherwhyle was from the Demon Plane, rather than the human world. The possibility that such formative books for her journey, sense of self, and time on the Boiling Isles were from the Demon Plane would very much be the kind of fantastical story out of an Azura book (destiny, coincidence, chosen one, etc.). But it ends up being wrapped up in a convoluted scam by Tibbles - and I think that will be a returning them re: the Azura books and the idyllic fantasy and desire for fulfillment in all sorts of grand gestures that led Luz to pursue magic being something put under the show's microscope

I’ve only watched the first episode, and it’s unique the age rating is higher than my actual age so idt i can watch who whole thing properly it seems like a show that really makes you think because of how characters are presented and perceived

@@wolverious most of the characters in Bojack are bad people but its interesting how they did characters that should not be likable and they talk about deep topics like depression and addicts

The show is very emotionally taxing. You can find yourself relating to characters in ways you might not be comfortable with acknowledging yet. And seeing them struggle to better themselves while simultaneously self sabotaging their happiness, is very real. The show isn't all an edge fest downer though, it shows you the ways in which someone might better themselves. But it also calls out its characters and in someways, the audience, for having to be the ones to push themselves through the hard times if they want to be better. 10/10 show with amazing writing, great jokes and gags, and heart breaking scenes

Bojack is for depressed people

@@wolverious As an adult, I would let my kid watch it if they were about 15 or 16 so long as they understood the heavy topics properly, and recognized the red flags in bad people. So if you're around that age I would definitely give it a shot.

I really appreciate how they went about showing this; we have a lot of scenes where Luz is upset by whatever circumstances have unfolded around her, but they rarely (if ever) center on how the situation affects her, but rather, how she feels her actions have negatively affected others. Even as she struggles to find a way home, her attention is still solely focused on how her mother is dealing with her disappearance. Really, the only time I can think of that she is actively upset about her own personal status is in the immediate aftermath of promising her mom that she won't go back to the Boiling Isles once she finds her way home, with her newfound friends and girlfriend (not only that, but her *_first_* girlfriend) being the only things that she doesn't want to sacrifice for someone else. Before the finale, the most distraught she appeared, by my reckoning, was when she accidentally cost Amity-at that point, her best friend and love interest-her job at the library in what she sees as a failed attempt to find a way back home. Not only did she cost Amity her job, but her hideaway from the numerous troubles which lie beneath her gilded cage of a personal life-something which she is fully aware the importance of. She thinks that her selfishness in pursuing a fruitless endeavor was the sole contributing factor, and expects Amity to immediately disown her for it. She completely disregards the fact that Amity insisted on helping her despite being fully aware what would happen if they were caught, and even spurred them onwards as she herself began to second-guess their decision. Even as she believes that her one hope of returning home and seeing her mom again has been destroyed, her first instinct isn't to lash out, make excuses, or move on, but to comfort Amity, who is in the midst of being forced to suddenly reconcile her past and rapidly-changing present. When Amity leaves, Luz takes it upon herself to right her wrongs with no thought as to the personal danger, despite fully expecting Amity to disown her for the mistake even after she fought to get her job back.
