That’s really helpful! I also struggle with having my personal journal entries in my planner/journal. I have loved having sketches and watercolor doodles in the Hobonichi. I started with an A5 in 2020, but the dated pages started to feel difficult once I was leaving the house more at end of 2021. The A6 is just too small for me. I prefer to keep things simple, but have some parts of life compartmentalized, so I tried a traveler’s notebook a few different times in the last few years, but for one reason or other: the band, not having a pen loop, etc would get me to change back to another book. I liked the TN the most this last time when I added Tomoe river inserts and get a pen loop, however it doesn’t have the same ease as a bound book. Currently in a B6 Sterling ink, but I was also thinking to keep a separate notebook for the infrequent journaling. Thanks for sharing that insight about your A6 book for the personal journal entries. In 2025 I would like to try a book system again, possibly an A5 common planner from Sterling Ink because the undated dailies give me a bit more freedom. But a bit nervous since it’s a big book. Looking forward to watching more of your journal/planner videos.

Great video! The cousin is beautiful, but the vertical weeklies kill me. I find it so much easier to plan and journal together because whenever I try to seperate it I don't do any journaling and it feels like a chore. I love seeing other people doing the same.

Along similar lines to the downward spiral I was having difficulty writing gratitude every day because I was al always re writing mostly the same things: family, home, job, decent health but someone suggested to think of it with all of your senses, e.g., something that you smelled or saw, or heard, etc. in addition to the basics… that has really helped me

Great video but were you in a Sterling Ink A5? There is a lot more room on the SI pages because of no quote and the pages going to the edge.. I like Hobonichi as well but dislike the pink and read weekends
