Your analysis and play on the AA hand with QQ6 is very impressive as a textbook example of thinking in ranges and combos. The recognition that there are only two plausible combo of hands that beat you QQ and AQdd v 6 hands of Kings (and maybe Jacks and 10s as well) with the ability to act on that info with bet on river to avoid a check back is top notch. I would not be surprised to see Jonathan Little or Upswing make this into a training video.
“We are OOP with Ace high and back door stright draw in a 4bet pot with OMC (this is his first hand, 2 hours in). spr is about 1:1, I have to start bluff.” - me in this situation way more than I need to be
Been watching your videos for quite a bit now and everything I know about poker has come from you! Although I don't see myself playing more than once a year at the lowest stakes possible lol, I have been able to enjoy poker in virtual reality through a game called Vegas Infinite. It has become one if my favorite things to do when I find the time and I also roped my friend into playing with me weekly. Although no actual money is being gambled in the game, I thoroughly enjoy it regardless and your videos have helped me run some tables and win big hands. I'm grateful for all the content you put out not only for the knowledge of the game but also for the entertainment and vlog parts of it. Keep it up :)
This is why I continuously come back to Brad's channel. His play takes logic to the furthest degree and uses it to just consistently put his opponents in the trickiest situations. The other day I was watching Mariano's video where he got aces the first hand at HCL and OMG I lost my mind counting all the mistakes he made. Basically he did the opposite of what Brad would have done in each situation. I don't wanna make the guy out to be a god or something but he's the only vlogger that consistently makes the "right" play..or the most optimal move. I really enjoy watching him break down his logic and explain why he does what he does.
I've never laughed so hard at a poker vlogs. Believe me I've laughed before. But holy shit, when Brad said, "a similar situation, against the same opponents" it absolutely killed .e
Glad to see they were so nice to you up here with hands and pots. Also good job filming at the table, I’ve heard that’s not easy here. I love your vlogs, it was cool to see you film a session where I like to play most.
Finally you made it out to Boston, I’m glad you won cause that casino rips me half the time I go there playing table games. Can’t wait to see the Iceland 🇮🇸 video
Loved hearing the evolution of your thought process on the AA hand from a few years ago to now! You analyzed it in a way that's relatable to players at all stakes and helpful for consistently making higher EV decisions!
Another great video from you! It has come to be my expectation for the longest time now I’d be so much more surprised if you had a bad video than if you absolutely crushed some other video. Your funny little quips and jokes are top notch and why I keep coming back for more every time! So good luck in the future on the felt and in life my friend! God bless!
Holy smokes so stoked to see you do Boston right Brad! Bleacher bar is a true local haunt. Also you landed at the FARTHEST gate from the street, hate when Delta sticks me with that walk.
Good work brad!!!!! Love the video consistency. I have been on a down swing for a few months but just had got to the positives this past weekend. I have been subscribed to you for years now, any time I play or if I’m feeling down on how I have been playing I pull one of your videos up to get my spirits up!!!! Keep up the amazing work jiggity master!
I'm glad that you enjoyed Boston Brad! Great breakdown of the hands and your thought process behind them! Hopefully Iceland will be in the plans for both of you in the future!
Congratulations on another great session. By watching this one, I hope you give me some of your run good luck. Then again may be wishful thinking. Thank you for the great content. Enjoy it.
I'm so glad you had a great time in Boston! Feeding the squirrels in the common is one of our favorite things to do haha Hope you have a great time in Iceland!
Man, how you compute all the different scenarios in your head at the speed of light is really impressive👍. Really appreciate you pausing the vid as you explain the thought processes. Awesome vlogs. Cheers
I was at that same Red Sox game! Bummed I missed you at Encore too! You must have had VIP (well-earned) permission to record for the vlog there. My sense is they keep a close eye on filming activity there.
@BradOwenPoker what is the standard etiquette and process for filming hands? And are you allowed to take notes while playing? How else do you memember all the details? Thanks.
Thanks, I'll probably get another chance at some point. There were a bunch of cool things that we had planned that we're still looking forward to doing once we get the opportunity.
@@BradOwenPoker My wife and I want to see the northern lights and the main candidates for locations are Alaska, Norway, or Iceland. Love the videos, thanks for the content.
"It's unlikely we'll have a similar hand and similar situation against the same opponents." "Next, we have KQ off in a similar situation against the same opponents." 🤣😂 good stuff Brad
Just played in my first official poker room. Tried to channel my inner Brad by getting it all in with pocked Jiggities vs KQ off. King came on the river and i never felt more like Brad.
Nice to see you had a good night in my home town of Boston. If Brad could make a poker room around here he’d make megabucks but Massachusetts has screwy laws about poker since the Ultimate bet thing.
Disappointed you didn't get to go to Iceland as it is on my to do list for next year and would have liked your perspective on it. I've watched travel vlogs and they have shown it to be beautiful. Oh well, at least I got to see some hands.
Nice hands! I wish I had gone out since you were in my backyard. Went to Iceland this summer and we went into the ice caves. I liked it a lot but my wife, son, and mother-in-law… well, not so much.
@BradOwenPoker , this is how I see this scenario at 1:53 - This is akin to playing deepstack and getting 3-bet raised in early position holding 10 9s. Should you: a) Go All In b) Reraise c) Call d) Fold e) Run like hell!
The KQ hand twice in a row got me so good. "If I thought showing made any difference, I wouldn't be making poker vlogs. Plus it's very unlikely that we'd ever be in a similar situation again against the same group of opponents." In the next hand... lmfao
Refreshing to see after having the worst session of my life on this terrible downswing this past weekend. I'm trying to ride it out but it hurts lol. Lost alot of high % all ins post flop
Wow you was in my city brad. If I knew you was playing in Boston I would've stopped by to say hello. Been following you since last yr n I've learned alot. Can't believe I missed you.
Glad you enjoyed yaself. Appreciate replying back you're a real one for that brad. 💯 Hopefully I'll see you in the future in one of your meet-up games.
Yeah, it was disappointing. I'll definitely try to schedule another trip there. We had a lot of fun things planned and it seems like such a beautiful country.
09:01 - "We show him, that we had it. If I thought showing made any difference, I wouldn't be making poker vlogs, plus, it's very unlikely that we ever be in a similar situation again against the same group of opponents **NEXT HAND** We pick up KQo again in a very similar situation against the same group of opponents" That was absolute brilliant!
Sorry that your trip to Iceland got ruined. But glad you got to go to EBH. I used to live there and got into poker after I moved to Georgia. Played when I visited last year and planning to go next month day before thanksgiving. Favorite vlog so far especially with that first hand.
My wife and I were in Boston in March of 2020. Covid hit and shut down all our plans. We were able to walk the city... such a beautiful place with some of the friendliest people you'll ever meet.
I so wish I knew you were hitting Encore. Anywhere near Boston. Anywhere near Massachusetts. I don’t have an instagram account but I’m going to open one now. That was a great first hand
I haven’t watched for a while but one things that’s noticeably changed is that before you would say, I most likely should do this, but then would make a different choice. Now you are going with your gut and head every time and not getting worried or out of your game and it’s paying off
As I watched this video, "Encore" by JayZ/LinkinPark was playing on my Spotify. The words "Can I get an encore...." were sung as your opponent called the all in.
