Probably the only how to video where the host actually answered everyone’s questions. Good guy. I’ve got the Autel 808TS. I have to add a new spare key and hope that this will program all my keys. Wonder what the dealer charges to program them. Just want to be sure so I don’t wipe out my keys and can’t program them and will need towed as well…haha. 2008 Odyssey Touring model.
Thanks for the compliment! Considering that the car is the 3rd generation immobilizer, I expect it to program the keys. You can start with adding a key if your scared lol. Adding keys won't delete existing keys. I have no clue what the dealer charges. Let me know how it goes! Is your Autel the MK or MP?
@@DIYAutoworksNG It’s the MK808TS. Update: I went out there at almost 11:00 tonight and was able to program my new key just like you said and use the add a key selection. It worked flawlessly by following the prompts and was identical to yours in the video. Had to work quick and pull out the original key and replace with the new key within so many seconds and followed the prompts. It worked first try successfully And all the other keys worked just fine. I got freaked out though because when I turned off the ignition and went to pull the new key out it came half way out and bound up. It went back into the slot fine but stopped halfway again when pulled out. I ended up giving a firm yank on the key and it came out with some resistance. I put it back in the hole and cycled it a few times and it worked fine since. The edges of the new key are a bit sharp so I may polish them a little smoother tomorrow on a polishing wheel. Thanks man…..your video gave me confidence and we all learn from others mishaps. Hope my experience can help others as well with a 2008 Honda Odyssey. I need to subscribe to your channel….thanks again.😊
Thank you for this video, specifically how you walked the viewer through both approaches. User manual wasn't written intuitively enough for me to visualize what you ended up demonstrating rather well. Kudos and thank you for helping me understand how to use this device to program a new immobilizer key on a Honda Odyssey I've got waiting for me tomorrow. 😂
cant wait to use mine hope it all ok iv brought it to extend my job limits hopefully i can do tyres now and some keys for my customers great video sir. are you in uk as im based in kent
A good all-round scan tool with decent support for key fob and key programming. Doesn't do all keys but definitely does a lot. Considering getting this tool? You may get from Amazon: amzn.to/3mddOH1 #ad.
Hey great video. I buy and sell from an auction and some times they have a deal i want and it doesnt have a key. My question to you is can you recommend a system that serves all cars? Thanks
Hi there! I have purchased recently couple of blank keys for my 2002 Honda C-RV, cut them and found out they are with T5 chips. I have AUTEL MaxiPRO MP808BT try to program them and it didn’t work. I found somewhere on the net these scanners cannot program T5 and clone chips. I was thinking maybe i can just cut out the current T5 chip and epoxy in one that will work!? Problem is i have no idea what chip i need Maybe You could help me find what i need?! What kind of chips You have on the blanks You use to program? Thank You for Your help, and kind regards! 👋
does this not ask for the IMMO pin code? I've seen another video where the pin codes are need to program keys. Is the pin code able to be obtained by the device itself? Without having to contact a dealership?
I think it should be same but not certain. I tried using Autel's vehicle coverage tool (autel.com/vehicle-coverage/coverage2) but Accord's are not listed but specific years. I should be using the AP200, which is equivalent to the MK808(and by extension the Mx808), to repeat this programming video. Stay tuned for that.
Hi Captain Lock. I shipped a vehicle to Africa, but the piece(key fob) that operates the remote is missing. The car operates with just the ordinary key now. Can you program another key, complete with remote key fob, using the vehicle information, vin, etc?
Great and precise video. Did you need any special connections for this apart from the obd2 port? Also, if the master key is deleted (as you initially did), would the remote buttons still unlock the doors?
Thanks! No other special connections save the obd2 port. I believe the key fob will still work as the immobilizer is different from the keyless entry system. I don't recall if I specifically tried to unlock the car after the master was deleted.
The FCC ID is usually stamped on the fob part of the key when you open it to replace the battery. You can also search online using your exact model, trim and market of manufacture.
Hello, Many thanks for the compliment! I used the function viewer to confirm that the MP808TS can assign keys for the Renault Clio 2007. Just to be sure "key assignment" covers all keys lost, I will ask autel support.
Autel's coverage tool says 'key erasure' and 'key registration' are supported. Not sure key erasure equates to all keys lost for Subaru. You may contact Autel support to clarify. support@autel.com
You must have a key cut to turn the ignition in other to program. It's all keys lost because it wipes off every other key record that's in the immobilizer, hence the name all keys lost. In addition for this car, you also don't need an already programmed transponder key to make the new key.
@@DIYAutoworksNG Ah, understood... need to work out how to get a key cut for the ignition, looking at many auction vehicles that have been taken by the finance company due to non payment and none have keys.
Thanks for sharing. I did same thing, 2 keys worked but lost contact with keyless receiver and can't fix it. Any help to get key resync would be appreciated.
Let me get this straight lol. If I purchase a cut, not programmed key from gm and go to all keys lost and reprogrammed the new key to the vehicle, the old keys won’t work anymore unless I programmed them to work. Is that correct?
Hi, Many thanks for watching! I checked the function viewer of this device and saw that "Key Matching" is supported on the 2003 Audi A4. Manufacturers tend to describe things a bit differently and I am not sure exactly what Audi's Key Matching covers. From my quick scan of the Internet seems like key fob + keys. Not sure if it covers all keys lost reprogramming. If I get more details, I'll revert.
hi quick question, i lost my key fob and i don’t have a replacement. Is there a way to program the door lock and unlock buttons on key fob with out a master key fob

Hi Martin, I haven't hooked up this scanner to an Audi A4 in person. I only used the function checker tab on the tool to determine that it covers key assignment on the A4. You can also use the publicly available Autel tool to check this. autel.com/vehicle-coverage/coverage2 If I can across an A4, I will check this.
@@DIYAutoworksNG Damn, problem is my keyless key is broken, it got water damaged. You gotta tutorial on programming a new key for keyless without a master key?
Correct. It's always good to use Autel's coverage tool to check. autel.com/vehicle-coverage/coverage2 You can also email Autel tech support to confirm coverage if the the website is unclear.
They are lying or maybe lazy. Does the car actually ask you for a pin code during programming? Not all cars do. If it does, a genuine dealer should have it. You could search online too. I've found a couple online.
@@DIYAutoworksNG Thanks! Yeah it does ask for the Pin Code, 4 digits. Its a 2007 Mazda5. First they said that the title wasnt proof enough for ownership, after some convincing, they said they didnt have it but their "Master Tech" said that I would have to have the car towed in, they would have to hook it up and send that information to Mazda to request a code. He said that there was no way that I could pull that information myself. From what I've read, if I have a Lucas immobilizer, I may be able to look for the pin if I have the serial number for the immobilizer. I'm going to try and take it out today to read the serial number on it.
Essentially the same device. The MS906BT has improved hardware and costs more, but note, the MP808TS is a full TPMS device while the MS906BT does not. If TPMS services are of interest, you should go with the MP808TS, if not and budget is not an issue, then the MS906BT for the improved hardware. Hope this helps.
Hi mate I've just bought a autel mp808 and I've been looking at how you do it it's a different menu when I go into key and immobiliser is there something I'm doing wrong or is it the wrong scanner and will I need one like yours. Thanks
The Autel MP808 has the exact same capabilities as the MP808TS except for the TPMS functions. What car are you using this on? Menus will appear differently depending on the car.
It should be available through the immobilizer menu from the service tab. If you share the other trim details/year, I can check on mine and let you know if it's available.
I checked the immobilizer menu on the 2010 Panther and because I didn't have the vehicle, I could follow to the final page to see if key coding is supported. That said, I used the function viewer and didn't see key coding listed. What function do you end up at when you explore the immobilizer menu?
