have every country be either a puppet or a master! how it would work: starting with the majors, roll to see who becomes their master. Anyone who becomes a master is also taken off the puppet list. then, in alphabetical order, go through every single country with the same system. if there is a country left (cba to math it out), just meme them like make them a puppet of luxemburg or tannu tuva or smth I bet this would be a really fun game, especially with a big mod like rt56 on or something.

Pick 2 random countries and swap them (you can use the state transfer tool mod by first annexing their colonies to other countries, then selecting all of a countries states and pressing the coring button, then coring all the territory of the country they will swap with, when neither countries states are core but the country's they are swapping with is their core, annex both into some nation [not the one that annexed colonies] and release them both.)

nah for borders they are the strongest with the Maginot line one Germany, a line of mountains with Italy and Spain and if you build forts you can just sit there as those three smash into your lines, but for ideology and general start they suck.

but really the only ai who do landings are the allies and Japan, and again by land you have the best defensible positions out of any nation in the game. If you just spend the majority of your time building forts on your border and you get level 10 forts you will be able to take on every single country bordering you and you can just sit there and let them just throw their men against your lines and you can just drain them of their manpower and then steamroll over them.
