When you think how bonkers some of the old F1 circuits were, then see even more bonkers tracks that they raced bikes on... wow. Would love to see all the tracks from the Australian V8 Supercars/ATCC (Australian Touring Car Championship)
Good video! I would like to point some things to correct: 01:41 Opatija was in Yugoslavia, not Czechoslovakia - and today is in Croatia. 02:28 The Le Castellet / Paul Ricard variant shown is not the correct one (note the profile at Pont, Camp, and the chicane after Beausset). Same thing at 02:48 (profile at Pont, chicane after Beausset). 07:50 The profile of the double right-hander that was later replaced by Curva Sito Pons is a bit off
Tampere circuit was mental. Partially a street circuit, on a forested ridge. Steep cliffs and rolling hills. Skid off, hit a tree or a building, or even fall down a cliff into a lake.
A video on Indycar like this would be incredibly long and very difficult to do, since Indycar's history can be traced back to WW1 and earlier. But I also would like to see it.
All the ones that come to mind right now (Champ Car included): Auto Club Assen Barber Charlotte Cleveland Airport COTA Daytona oval Detroit Detroit Belle Isle Gateway Homestead-Miami Indianapolis oval Indianapolis road course Iowa Jacarepaguà oval Laguna Seca Langhorne Lausitzring Las Vegas Las Vegas Caesars Palace Long Beach Mexico City Michigan Mid Ohio Milwaukee Mile Motegi oval A street circuit in New York Phoenix Pocono Portland Ontario Richmond Rockingham (UK) Saint Petersburg Sao Paolo Street Circuit Sonoma Surfer's Paradise Texas motor speedway Toronto Exhibition Place Watkins Glen Zolder
@@simoneburini4036 The two Houston layouts, the two Vancouver layouts, Brands Hatch, Fundidora Park, Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez, Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Baltimore, Edmonton, San Jose, Denver, Mont Tremblant, Surfers Paradise and more besides. Yeah it would be difficult to do. You could probably split it into two parts at least, or maybe take out the ovals and just focus on the road and street courses. Or a video on ovals and a video on road and street circuits.
It would ve nice to see Indycar, including AAA/USAC years, but it's hardly possible to restore all layouts today. For example, 1909 AAA calendar included the race between Los-Angeles and Phoenix.
8:22 slightly disappointed it didn't include the multiple times they switched the T14-T15 chicane between the bike and car layouts between sessions on the same weekend, but I don't mind. I just would have found it amusing :)
@@cristiano24051980 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opatija_Circuit .Where is write Czechoslovakia ?.Opatija has always been the race for the Yougoslavia Grand Prix..Czechoslovakia only Old Long Brno and new Brno Circuit.
The Isle of Man TT still exists, and it's the most dangerous motorcycle road race in the world (I think). MotoGP dropped it from the calendar in 1977, and it was picked up by the Formula TT Championship (race bikes with production engines). When that championship died in 1992, the TT was left as a stand-alone event. It's way too dangerous to be part of a championship and thus forcing riders to do something that most of them will never want to do. As for Daytona, the Daytona 200 is a big enough race for them. They don't need a MotoGP race (and maybe the track would not be safe enough). I think that MotoGP should leave COTA and go back to Laguna Seca.
Eu quero fazer, mas pelo que ja pesquisei, uma boa parte dos circuitos antigos ja nao existem. Mas vou tentar. Para ja estou a trabalhar para fazer um video da CART (Formula Mundial)e ChampCar
