I am regretting not investing in Nvidia stocks ever since my wife did. But still grateful i kept money in the money market. With about $200k maturing soon, i plan investing well in it. But then what other stocks should I look into as a newbie to safely grow my money?
Thats when you hire someone to manage your money. You need a (CFP) straight up! personally, I would invest in ETF's and also love investing in individual stocks.
I took charge of my portfolio but faced losses in 2022. Realizing the need for a change, I sought advice from a fiduciary advisor. Through restructuring and diversification with dividend stocks, ETFs, Mutual funds, and REITs, my $1.2M portfolio surged, yielding an annualized gain of 28%.
Hey Ryne, I received $74.50 from O of which I have 305.09 shares, $25.30 from OBDC from there special dividend I have 317.84 shares, $54.09 from ARCC 120.34 shares, $59.08 from SPYI 139.15 shares, $186.12 from SCHD I have 310.72 shares and last but not least $151.37 from UNP I have 116.44 shares for a total of $550.46
@@rynewilliams thx just wanted to say thank you for the interactive videos I don’t have a lot of friends that enjoy investing especially dividend investing so this gives me the opportunity to talk to others who share in something that I really enjoy.
i see you have a unique trend in the companies that you invest in, normally companies that target companies to buy with an EBITDA between $10 and $250 million if there is any reasoning behind that could you explain please ? i would like to know these stock prices are in the range of what im looking to buy
SCHD $4.37 Incoming VOO $1.65 DGRO $0.69 Today is the end of the financial year in New Zealand. After my 1st 9 months investing I received $19.69 in dividends
My biggest dividends were from Microsoft ($252) and JNJ ($248). Your account has really ran up in the past year -- gonna have to start calling you "Warren, Junior"! 🌞
$22 from O, $16.5 from MAIN and $12 from SO. That was my top 3 this time, march total at around $120. Slowly getting there! Happy Easter Ryne, love to see those numbers go up and up!
My total for March should be right around $891 and some change though I haven't received my BAC dividend yet so thats an estimate with that projection included. I'll cover it in a video next Friday most likely along with the Options total for the month. Happy Easter and appreciate the content.
Hey Ryne! This month was a record high for dividends received. I got $358 in total from AB, ABR, JEPI, JEPQ, LYB, OBDC, PFLT, and SCHD. I should have also received divs from ARCC and EVTZF, but they will hit on April 1st, due to the holiday. My highest single payment was ABR with $108. Keep up the great work!
JNJ, MAIN, O, TGT, KR, HD, MSFT, V, TROW, PEP, XOM, UNH - after taxes just under 710 dollars. And I am expecting around 8 dollars from stock lending, it's not a div but still feels like one.
I had two portfolios and consolidated them this past month, now it should be a lot easier to track. According to the dividend tracker it should around 136.05 for the month. A few years ago it was pennies
Great video as always! I love the Mar/June/Sep/Dec cycle cause it always tends to be a big one. Highest dividend payment for me was from SCHD which paid me $86! Hoping to get to $100 a quarter soon.
Its fun to see your total portfolio balance grow since my account size has been similar to yours except my dividend position is very small compared to my growth stocks.
Hi Ryne, Can you track the performance of the S&P and Russell 600 against your dividend portfolio? If we are focusing heavily on dividends are we missing total CAGR.
Fortunately, through Charles Schwab, I'm able to compare my portfolio against those indices. Regarding your second question there, I would say that focusing too much on the dividend itself misses the forest for the trees. In other words, you shouldn't invest in a company strictly because of its dividend yield. Instead, you should seek to invest in high quality companies that will compound your wealth over a long period of time. Having said that, it is my personal preference to only invest in companies that do pay a dividend. I want high quality companies, but I also want them to be dividend payers, which I think is different than chasing yield.
Thanks for the video Ryne, congrats on the year over year dividend increases! As Finviz has updated the way they portray their divdend data, are you able to share the new formula use use for the annual dividend within your spreadsheet?
Hey nice video as always! Thanks for the update and the transparency. I went from 4,15 in feb to 6,13 in march Slow and steady boys! Greetings from Germany ❤
What’s up Ryne I’ve been watching your videos lately I’ve gotten about $.40 so far in dividend income but we out here we’ll be increasing that very soon let me just tell you
Hi Ryan! Splg is only $61 a share and tracks the same index as voo, I’m just curious why you (or others) don’t invest in that when it’s way cheaper? Please answer 🙏🏻😊 I’m torn on which to buy into
I don’t really have a good answer for that to be honest. They’re more/less the same. I will say, though, the fact that SPLG is $61 and VOO is $400-something per share doesn’t really mean anything.
@@rynewilliams wouldn’t you be able to buy way more shares at $61 vs. $400 something? Can you elaborate a little more why it doesn’t matter? Thank you so much and appreciate your feedback
My March dividends were the following. I had a 36% gain from March last year. SCHD just barely beat out Chevron. You still looking to keep Altria (MO)? CVX: $77.86 Meta: $5.00 MSFT: $12.84 NEE: $23.23 RTX: $48.28 UNH: $15.04 V: $9.69 SCHD: $78.25 VB: $9.48 ZTS: $2.59 FDVV: $17.86 NOBL: $9.27 VO: $7.79 QQQM: $4.62
@@rynewilliams I have mixed thoughts, obviously we both love the dividend and the PE continues to be under it's 5yr trend at 8.69. It would be very hard to make up for the $26 I receive or the $55 I believe you receive. I think my concerns come in with do they have enough growth in them to keep that dividend going and whether the shares can start to move in the right direction despite most companies like Morningstar saying they are undervalued. I think for now I am going to continue to hold but don't see much need to add with a cost basis of $43.33. It's just tough to see the market on this run but not seeing them join in!
Hi Ryne, just hoping for your opinion. I am just starting investing and am late to the game. I have about 25 years to retirement. I plan to invest $100 a month, $50 to Roth and $50 to brokerage hopefully building up dividend return. With Voo being so high priced per share, do you think this would still be a smart investment for me being that I am investing so little? It just seems like it will take so long to get to a single share. Thanks for your help and advice. Love your videos.
I think VOO is still a great fund to average into for sure. You still have a lot of years of great compounding ahead of you…you’ll be able to build a really strong portfolio with 25 years on your side! Keep climbing 👏
I personally use Charles Schwab. The user interface isn't as great as something like Robinhood, but I think Schwab is a very trustworthy brokerage and it has fantastic customer service, which is important.
Made over $800 in self brokerage accounts, 401k, Roths, Money market, and a few CDS. Don't have anything in market I feel like is a great gotta buy, so sitting on cash and waiting for a great buy. Putting in weekly 401ks contributions, but extra I'm just building cash for a larger buy.
I am not able to download your spreadsheet. I've tried numerous times. I enter my email and then nothing? I am using Firefox. Do you have any suggestions or does anyone else have this problem? Thanks - interesting site
I'm in a few Yieldmax funds for almost 3 months and I really like them. On Monday next week I'm getting my monthly dividend payment of $4,600 split between my HSA, Roth IRA, and taxable brokerage accounts with CONY, NVDY and just my CONY fund alone is up 25% as of this morning so I'm also getting massive dividends and I'm not losing fund equity. I'm going to roll that dividend into YMAX and which pays out in two weeks and should get another $1500 - $2,000 dividend payment. The Yieldmax funds do a pretty good of following the underlying investment as CONY follows Coinbase and NVDY follows NVIDIA. just do your research as with every investment. By the way my total investment in these Yieldmax funds is just over $60,000.
