I don't even know where to begin anything, I lost my brother 1 year and 1 month ago, still in complete shock, grieved a lot of deaths in my days, this one feels like I've been permanently marked with something. It's like I'm learning how to be in the world without him. I don't like it. I quote the Lord is my Shepard verses every time I'm losing it.... I couldn't imagine a child. Very profound moment for me when he said River was here for as long as he was supposed to be.

I almost passed last year, I couldn’t see his face nor look at the light but no words can express the waves of love felt. Truth be told, I didn’t want to come back. Take heart, brother. Kept thinking back to this video today when I learned of the news. I’m heart broken for the Smith family. I can’t even fathom how difficult a time this must be. The last 10 years or so I’ve lost every family member except for my sister. We are the only two left and just entering our 40’’s (neither of us blessed with kids). I’ve learned that you can never take a day for granted. Tomorrow is never promised. My mom was the last and the hardest for me. I just can’t imagine being a parent and having to say goodbye to a child. My sincerest condolences go out to Granger and his family. Prayers for you all...
We tried that DuPont pellets that expand like a thousand time it’s size with Zero Luck. Our pond leaks out the sides, not the bottom. However, you can spread Bentonite around the edges & it’ll sink & work it’s way down. Most ponds have sediment on the bottom & leaks out the sides. Just depends. I know a few people that have used All sealing products with no luck, including myself with our pond. We used Bentonite & tilled it Up in the dirt when it was empty, filled it, it leaked out. Then we bought the high dollar DuPont Stuff that you throw on top & it sinks with No luck. Once we started spreading Bentonite around the edges? It started sealing. There’s a bunch of vids on it. Worth a shot & much cheaper. That stuff you throw on top creates a thick layer of slime & it’ll kill your fish. We have ponds in S. Texas near Kingsville & down here S. of Houston. Trust me, we’ve tried it all. Sometimes a windmill pumping water in is perfect & cheaper in the long run. Hit me up at foshee.mike@gmail.com
Love country living! We have a stone road that goes for miles through the mountian that's near our place. My husband and I love hiking and exploring up there with our boys! So peaceful and the sounds and smells of the mountian...there's no better place! Wish we could show you this little slice of Pennsylvania heaven someday 👍

You may want to add a Flashboard spillway to the bass pond to help manage the water flow... Check with your local USDA Soil and Water Conservation District Office.
Same here. I've been rewatching several of the videos that had a lot of River in them. When I heard the news I immediately felt it so hard because I teach swimming, and I know the dangers of it. This is just so tough, I can't imagine what they're going through.
@@sjselby95 the thing is little Riv knew how to swim. But they figure the fact he had a diaper on, which can soak up to 10lbs of water & that he had shoes on prevented him from being able to.

I'd imagine some if not most of the bass stayed in the pond. They don't like current for the most part. They will find a deep spot to ride out a flood. Hope the product your driver found works. Sounds a heck of a Lot easier than the alt. Lol fun adventures right there.

Grainger that's when pond maintenance comes into play. Farming and ranching takes work. Trust me. Been at it well past sixty plus years. Finding what works for the property takes time. But pays off in spades. Yee Yee!
Define the high water mark and width. The fence only needs to be a couple of feet taller than high water. Once a day check for trash and clear. The fish will stay in the pond and the water can flow out. Hope this helps. Mad respect for how you are raising some great children.
Too bad RU-vid has to be against shooting anything. When it's like that they're a nucesnts more than anything. We shot 12 last winter trying to kill our livestock.
