Your data is flawed. My 2021 C8 Z51 HTC has done 0-60 in 2.7 seconds and has hit the 1/4 mile in 10.9 seconds. Unprepped.

10.8@135 1/4 in my C7 ZR1 ZTK*. O-60 in 3 sec. *Track pkg option increases drag somewhat due to 950 lbs of downforce @ speed and thus slightly slower times. However, on a road course it's more than capable of humbling the C8 depending on driver skill/experience in both. Note: I have yet to see a C8 driver return the Corvette wave on a public road. I suspect it may be due to the fact they're first time Corvette owners. /

Just drove the z51 on track. Its lightweight enough to make the 500hp feel great, handling is phenomenal and breaking is solid and confidence inspiring Slowed down from 130 very quickly

The z51 is not 2 mph faster in the 1/4. The NPP exhaust only adds 5hp. And the non Z51 is also available with the same exhaust. Your 0-60 times are off as well.

in 2020 Z51, full package, I've done 0 to 60 in 2.7 seconds. Change the air filter and the throttle body.

To be honest with you in my opinion the use of old "zero to 60" ratings became pretty irrelevant a long time ago with the entry of fire breathing light weight cars. Driving skill and how fast a car gets out of the hole is tested. A zero to 100 mph or 1/4 mile time ratings would be a much more relevant and revealing tests

It’s an engineering marvel with performance and a price that beats all the others . You can take a pictures of this car at each point and it looks good ! Take an overall picture and nothing seems to match . The design flow isn’t appealing to me ! It isn’t just the corvette but many of the other American muscle cars that fall short in design ! The front engine corvette near its end was the best looking before the mid engine came into play !

I personally will never drive anything with an electric motor. I have a 21 C8 and love it just like it is. More bs on a car = more problems down the road. Replacing the battery isn’t like just buying a couple hundred aa batteries, it’s gonna be stupid expensive. I’m looking to buy a lambo next year and I feel like with every car builder going electric, I better buy sooner than later.

But you did show your ignorance, there are plenty of dealers selling 2023 Corvettes for MSRP as low as in the mid $60's. A 2024 Porsche Carrera base model MSRP starts at $116K before the dealers start adding on markups. You could get a base Z06 for that much and have a much much faster car with a real double wishbone suspension at all 4 wheels instead of the econo-box McPherson struts on the front of your Carrera.

And this is where you start falling apart. If your really knowledgeable, you’d know the Porsche GT3 RS and the Z-06 run neck and neck on most road courses. People that spend $225,000.00 on a Porsche do it # 1, because the know what it is and # 2, because they can ! Back to a $60 K Corvette. If you can show me ONE DEALER IN THE US that will sell a new 2023 CORVETTE OTD at that price, YOU WIN ! The Porsche’s aren’t much different, EXCEPT you CAN get one realistically around $125 K after lic, title and delivery. EVERYONE options something on a Porsche….and you pay dearly for it. Not quite the same with Corvettes…… So…..name a dealer……!!! I don’t expect to hear any more flapping from you. ps Do you even own either of these cars…..or do you just “read and write” ?

100,000 dollars for a two passenger car with no trunk space and low mpg. Alot of people are worrying how their gonna pay the heating bill this winter. I get car and driver magazine and before reading a review the first thing I look at is the price. If I can't afford it why waste my time? I guess it comes down to dreaming and seeing how the other half lives. Sad.

I have a '23 Z51. It is the best Corvette I've ever owned going back to the first C5 in '97 followed by a 99 convertible, a C6 GS convertible, a C7 GS, and this C8. I can't afford a Bugatti or a McLaren or a Ferrari or a Lambo. But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy seeing and reading about them. And frankly, I don't miss having them with the C8. Especially after doing the Corvette performance school at Spring Mountain, subsidized by GM. And for the record, it does have a trunk where I can fit my clubs, and a large enough frunk to keep all kinds of other things. None of those other cars can do that. Especially not for under $100k.

He's talking about using only the electric motor for short distances. Its a stealth mode for sneaking out or back into the neighborhood without anyone hearing you. Its not really made as a purely driving mode. I could use it on Sunday mornings when I fire up my '23 Z51 at 5 am to head to the golf course. There is no stealth way to do that even with the adjustable exhaust.

Please stop the racing. Sports cars used to be based on handling feel etc. 0-60 isn’t how a true car telling the full story of it being engineered. I personally unlesss at racetrack or drag racing don’t even slightly include how fast it rolls. 2005 Porsche gt was made for only a racetrack. When I drive I add up how a car feels to drive. I don’t want tempts of speeding tickets or careless driving. This is why corvette decades ago was USA built only true sports car. No leaf spring dinosaur suspensions. No front wheel drive so called sports cars like 1985 dodge Daytona ! It’s how a car meets the road. 1980 VW scirocco
