I paused a movie to watch your review on this Audi A6. I think it is the most beautifully designed auto I've even seen. Subtle and yet highly distinctive and refined. Audi's design, technology and performance make it a leader in the industry, in my opinion. As always, your presentation style and attention to detail is second to none. Also, the camera work is superb, showing details of the car.
Thomas, I love this car. It is not too big...not too small...just right. Not too flashy but also not boring. It has dimensions and a design flow that seem perfectly in balance. Audi understands how to make visually pleasing cars for sure.
I always turn on his vids when I know that need to calm down in order to fall asleep on time. It doesn’t mean he’s boring’ it means he has very pleasant voice and manner of speech.
Totally agreed, apart from his great reviews he definitely has a calm voice. I usually see the reviews at the end of the day which is before sleeping and I have had quite a few occasions where I had fallen asleep and completed the video the next day.
As a Hungarian it was funny to see a Hungarian address being shown on the Navigation at 14:20. Fantastic car and excellent review as always! Keep up the great work! Greetings from Hungary!
Cool that RU-vidrs are recognized and are invited to see and 'review' the car before it is actually presented, seems like Audi and other car companies understands the value of RU-vid.
It's a bit different style than Mercedes or BMW. I would say this is the most "futuristic" while the E-class is more classy. Not sure about 5-Series but it has it's place.
everytime when i see Thomas on the thumbnail, i already know the script before i click the video ~ "everything of that in full HD, full screen and full length, let's go!" LOL!
Speaking of fake exhausts, does having them mean that real exhausts are completely not visible in the fake exhausts, or does having them mean that there is a fake outer shape, beyond the real exhausts? Because overall, fake exhausts are meant for modern cars to look good. I mean, who would want to see a beautiful futuristic Audi with 2 black pipes on one side of the real. It would look very hideous.
More beautiful than a 5 series! It looks already sporty with the aggressive front design... The new led lighting system design is perfection inside out!

mahmoud raheel Me too, I was ok with the new A8 and underwhelmed with the A7 (but I wasn’t fussed on the old one either, oddly I absolutely love the new A/S5 Sportback though) but this new A6 I think is stunning.
Excellent review as always Thomas. I like the car a lot too!...maybe i'll get more used to the fake exhaust over time? On another note - I'm enjoying my new 2017 VW Touareg Wolfsburg Edition. Keep up the excellent work man!

Overall, the design is great. But, I don't understand why the radar covers on the grille must be that obvious, they look like black square holes on the grille.
All three are gorgeous in their own right. You have to see them in person to be able to appreciate, as with all the later Audis btw. (minus A4/A5 sadly)
All Audi Models Is My Favorite since I love the brand, but the new strategy for the unification of the design is awesome for the A8, A7 and A6. My preference thou would be for the Q7 and Q5 since I am into Compact SUV , And Crossovers
Very glad they took this approach with the new A6. I personally don't quite like the exterior designs of the A8 and A7. The A7 line used to by my favourite and the new A7 ruined it for me. But this A6 is like the saviour of Audi's top 3 sedans. Beautiful inside and out. Now we need some aftermarket company to make a bodykit to delete that fake exhaust :)
I prefer the Audi A6 to the A7 and A8. I prefer the more restrained styling, the classic saloon silhouette with the A6's proportions. However, i'm neither a fan of the latest Audi headlight design or rear lights or dashboard - they're just too incohesive. I don't understand why a car with a head-up display and Virtual cockpit needs two large centre screens. Firstly, it's overkill and unnecessary (knobs are better to use) and secondly, wouldn't it be better to give the front passenger a screen of their own instead?
It is clearly a Bavarian car when you type BER in the navigation and it suggests BEER :)) I wish they kept the tail lightbar from the A7 but the led's on the seatbelts are really cool :D
I hate all these screens in new cars. I would totally prefer some nice (for example metal) premium feeling buttons over a stupid cheap fake 200 euro screen....
MrBasinator those metal feeling buttons are too expensive for Audi. Audi is already playing in a league below Merc/BMW. Porsche is now the real competitor from VAG group. Nice wheelarches though
Nuno Peixinho that's absolute nonsense.. If you've actually sat and owned the counterparts to audi. They all do so some things better or worse than them, Audi is not below them.
Nuno Peixinho are you dense porche makes mainly performance cars, they don't have a cheap 35,000 a3 competitor or a 50,000 a5 or a4 competitor, imo porches look ugly af with there big stupid Volkswagen beetle front end in ever car. The rear is nice though
Great review and love your videos Thomas 👍🏼 Perhaps the USB's are numbered so when selecting the music source from the entertainment system, you know which one is which. In other words USB 1 would be labeled as "USB Input 1" and so on 😊
I think the A6 has a nicer look than A7 and A8 in terms of looking futuristic, yet classic and classy especially the interior. I think Audi has the best interior among its segment. I do love the razor edges that you can feel inside and out! makes a very clean and sharp design, I hope they keep that design point!
Zamen Farhan Mercedes has best interior and customization, BMW has best driving experience, Audi has best looking exterior with led running lights, taillights, technology.
Car has a more agile and sporty stance and is a bit more pleasing to the eye than bigger A8. I also like the thinner C-Pillars on this car. Comparing against MB and BMW, I think Mercedes Benz still sits on top for ultimate luxury and tech with Audi a close second and BMW for third ( but after seeing Z4 Concept and new 8-Series Coupe ) BMW could be onto something within the coming months. Nice! Getting an exclusive preview! I have yet to understand the center display design in the new lineup, when it's not in the driver's field of view. It just seems that design was more important than functionality to them.
MrCarGuy20 Yes I agree, I do like the new system but it would’ve been better to keep the functionality of the MMI wheel and short cut switches from the previous design. There’s better voice control but I’m not sure it’d bridge the gap, time will tell.
I like the new details of the design but I still wonder in what way is the touch screen going to make my life better when setting the volume or the temperature!! But, then, there's the ability of leaving the A/C in "Auto" and have peace of mind! I bet the engine versions are going to be called like so: base 2-liter petrol: 25 TSI base 2-liter diesel: 20 TDI top 2-liter petrol: 35 TSI top 2-liter diesel: 30 TDI 3-liter petrol: 55 TSI 3-liter diesel: 50 TDI Also, I think a petrol V6 with the 48V system should be good for 400+hp, to create the new S6 version, opposed to the forthcoming AMG E53!!

MafiosoItaliano458 I think they will keep their big diesels to the Q family...as sad as it is...maybe in the A8 there will be a 4.0TDI again but I dont think it will find its way to a A6
I recently changed from an A6 to and S4 Avant. While I love the S4 I really miss the A6 and this new A6 looks fantastic. I'll be really interested to see if the Avant looks as good as the sedan but I think I already know what my next car is!
I thought that too - I was expecting an LED light bar across the back, it would have looked great. Instead it appears they borrowed from the 7 series chrome trim, which is a bit of a shame.
I don't really like the interior design with that much screens. I'm pretty sure it has superb quality but... doesn't work for me. Exterior is beautiful though .
The front end is so aggressive. Looks greats. I feel this is the best looking as compared to 5series and E class. The windows looks small and coupe like. Not sure how the chrome line on the boot lid will age as a design. Hope they’ve worked on the suspension for UK roads. It will find a lot of buyers on looks alone.
