Correct me if I'm wrong, but we have to chose 1 glyph per piece of armor. You often reference the classes using glyphs together that share an armor piece.

You make a mistake on the Druid section talking about having mangle and lacerate. You’ll have to choose 1 only. There’s only 1 engraving per item.

You missed the glove enchant for Warriors called Devastate: “While you are in Defensive Stance and have a shield equipped, Sunder Armor also deals 100% weapon damage, increased by 10% per application of Sunder Armor already on the target.”

looking at these healing changes, there will be some really interesting options for healing with using low rank skills in place for some skills in some scenarios... using either low rank flash to up the priests Serendipity rune stacks, and then spamming the most mana efficent and usefullness size heal rank for the listed heals that get the benefit... also with mage healer with probably low rank heals to place the temporal beacon and then pump arcane dmg to do the most of the healing

this is going to be very fun! so many things we can try and different way to play the game. cant wait

Just a heads up, several of the runes for warrior are tanking related too. Furious thunder usable in defensive stance for aoe aggro, endless rage for well more rage equals more threat. Blood frenzy also giving more rage per bleed is another increase on threat generation through spenditure.

The best part is that this is all just testing and there is room for improvement. I'm already so excited for it.

I really wonder how well a enhancement shaman will work now. I remember in the 2019 classic prepatch for tbc the dual wield shaman was almost stronger than a warrior. Since they don't exactly have the tbc tree, I wonder how well they will perform and if theyll become a top dps in this season

Hunter crave, just a melee aoe attack for hunters, since you are unable to use mulithishot due to min range restrictions, cool abbility. Thank you very much for your review. My classes for now are Druid cat (main), Priest (healing + shadow pvp) if will have time might try shaman tanking.

can you engrave two runes on a piece? if no then there is no chance for mangle and lacerate to deal more dot for bear?

Would be nice to have talent tree where you can pick and sort these out, like "talent tree" in MoP, attaching skills to equippement slots is really weird.

This will certainly motivate people to try out all these awesome new abilities, similar to what we saw in BC and Wrath. But for how long? It will be interesting to see how feedback is turned into changes in this new playground.

I wonder if there could be some good synergy between Enlightenment and Arcane Surge. Such as, dumping all mana with Arcane Surge, benefiting from the mana regen (while dpsing) back up to 30%, then dumping mana again with Arcane Surge... rinse and repeat

Arcane surge is new in Dragonflight. It was the replacement for Arcane Power as their primary cooldown.

Can't wait to try out melee hunter. It's been so scaffed the entire time with only raptor spam

Should be fun to see a ret pally Divine Storming while cleaving with autos in Seal of Martyrdom. Two cleaves at once, why not? Once level cap is raised to 40, we all know warriors and paladins get plate and hunters and shaman get mail as well as druids getting dire bear form and moonkin forms. Looking at this from a pure tanking aspect begs to ask the question "What does this mean for rogue and warlock tanks?". I can easily see Warlocks getting some type of enhanced buff for metamorphosis as 500% bonus armor to cloth brings it in line to the equivalent of mail it seems. Considering mail being the highest form of armor at level cap of 25. So there's definitely going to be some type of buff necessary to either the rune or, just maybe an enhanced version of demonic skin or other self-casted buffs? 😮 As for the rogues, I'd assume there would be some type of similar adjustments for them as well. Or maybe they could introduce some type of tanking mechanic similar to Brewmasters stagger? Although I'd almost hate to see this as Brewmasters are very neat and dear to my heart, it would make sense for a swash buckling type of class to drink and shrug off the pain. Perhaps a warrior's ignore pain bubble? Or even more excitingly... The buckler. Yes you heard it. See originally, back in Vanilla Beta rogues had a weapon slot for bucklers (small shields that can be equipped around your arm) but never saw the light of day as it was scrapped. This would definitely make the most sense as it's bringing a block mechanic as well as additional armor to the class; brings back the almost mystical nostalgia of an item set that never was but was most certainly pondered on; and adds that extra something special and unique to a class while still maintaining a dual weapon, swashbuckling fantasy whilst still being able to block, albeit less effectively as other classes, but none the less still being able to access an entire stat! This would be so wonderful. Certain shields in the game would have to have bucklers added to their item tooltip or have new ones implemented altogether.

I'm a rogue main and I love the majority of the runes we got, but I can't help but feel like some of the other classes are much more op. I could be wrong tho, and I'm excited to play sod either way

Thanks for this video, amazing job and the most clear recap I've watch until now, Big heads up +1 sub ;) IMO, Warrior are going to be annihilated by everyone in pvp, they are the big losers of this new meta. You don't have any favorable matchup and the runes are a big deception in there. Only one improving the charge feels really good, but all the rest is useless / not interesting in pvp. My short list : Warlocks / Mage are just too much op considering they were already god class in vanilla, with all the adition it's just crazy. Chaman, paladin, droods, priest looks awesome and will be IMO the top classes for pvp behind the 2 above. Don't hesitate to tell me your opinion about it, maybe you'll change my mind ;) Rascarkapac

Well the class with most profit from those runes are the class which can heal and dps or even tank on top. All other's have only the bis dps option or maybe the pvp option but well still fun probably.

Even with the datamined spells/runes (only 2 hours old so not in this video) i really miss the boomkin buffs. It seems that heal druid and bear are getting so much new stuff and boomkin nothing :D (ofc i know that maybe more will come!)

The alliance has paladin shields as well as a wind fury like ability... Horde is getting a kings like ability but no immunity like the shields ... I sense a significant alliance advantage in pvp unless shamans get something to rival bubble

With all the fresh bracket new things, could you MAYBE talk about your choice of pros and cons of PROFESSIONS at the 225 tier? That's the highest we can get at level 25. Best item per Profession maybe? Strong standouts?

Will warlock in metamorphosis be any good in pvp as a damage dealer?

So.. the Alliance is getting all of the shaman bonuses (WF, Agi and Str totems, Tremor totem), but the Horde is not getting Salvation, Wisdom and Might equivalents? Since the idea is to equalize Horde and the Alliance - What about Kings, Freedom, Light, Sanctuary, Protection - all of these are for not paladin-use only, but it is castable on others, which means the balance will even more broken or maybe I missed something?

not sure about shadowstrike, sounds good but you have to be stealthed and you loose your 2 combo point cheapshot stun. so i doubt its worth it tbh. better have it outside stealth as a gapcloser with like 2-3min cooldown

No one has really talked about how runes will scale... is dmg/healing derived from an equation with lvl in it to scale? they don't seem to lvl up and they seem to have rather "rank 1" numbers in the descriptions.

Wish they would’ve added more abilities we’ve not seen before. These are pretty much reused abilities from previous games

Little sad these are leaked like this but I'm also glad to get a little peak to help decide what to roll so I don't feel sad about picking something "wrong" due to not knowing about XY or Z thing coming to a class. Feels wildly bittersweet. Also hugely conflicted on what to roll still xD That said though I am SO pumped for the staggered release of this. I was so sad I couldn't participate in the classic beta because each chunk of levels growing their own meta was some of the coolest shit to watch.

I just realized something about seal of martyrdom that I didn't when initially reading it. If it's wording is accurate to it's functionality and not just a mistake, then while that seal is active, any damage from any source will give your group mana! I suspect that's not how it functions and rather, the mana gained is from the damage you take from the seal proc. So say I do 100 damage with melee, 30% of that, or 30 is dealt, then 2% of that is mana for the group. The way it SOUNDS is say three mobs all hit me for 100 damage, the party gains 6 mana. That's a lot more powerful than 2% of 30, or 0.6 (probably rounded up to 1).

I mean, a lot of these abilities are going to rely on the debuff limit disappearing (which would be a good thing)

Does anyone know what Sunfire will cost in cat/bear form? Rage/energy, mana, nothing (haha)?

Am I totally mistaken? I could have sworn other sources listed a devastate rune which would be a tanking rune for warriors. Also they changed Thunder Clap to be usable in defensive stance in either TBC or Wrath to help with warrior aoe threat. Warbringer is also a deep prot talent to help prot move around and generate rage on a pull. So while warbringer is amazing for warrior pvp it's very much a tanking rune also. With these changes you basically have a Wrath deep prot warrior minus vigilance for helping with threat.

Here is how to make feral tanks relevent in SoD: 1. Innervate, rebirth, remove curse, abolish poison, barkskin, tranquility, and potions all castable while shapeshifted 2. Hurricane changed to normal cast (like flamestrike) 3. Insect swarm (cat) & insect swarm (bear) 4. Omen of clarity proc causes rejuvenation to be castable in all forms. Instead, we so far got passive mitgation and more plain damage buttons. Nothing any other tank can't do. A feral tank is now the least valuable and most bland/boring tank by far.

Strange comment considering that a lot of what is available with SoD role wise (outside of mage healer) was what people would do as a challenge/for sun already.

rune is pronounced ROON, not “ruin.” additionally, 54:04 is false. Warlocks, or any class, will not be able to stack rune effects on the same piece of gear. so 1 rune on gloves, 1 on chest, 1 on legs.

U didnt mention the BoK spell for shamans?

54:00 i mean, the warlock will be doing 1 of those 3 things since they can only have 1 of the hand engraving on at any one time.

Excited for Hunter to actually be good dps for Classic. They were a total meme for raiding, outside of kiting a mob when needed or using Tranq Shot, which is why I only ever saw 3 at max for serious raid teams. I wish they'd remove the ridiculous 1min cd on Volley, as it serves zero purpose because the ability doesn't scale with attack power and therefore doesn't do much damage at all. Maybe we'll get a rune later on since Volley isn't even unlocked until 60 iirc.
