Light armor since nioh 1. The sets that have given me good results on dual sword have been Yatagarasu, Golden gourd, and Justice ministry. Each set I also paired with and element to take advantage of a debuff or enemy vulnerability.

Thanks for that! Loved the feedback. Yeah I've thought about it. To be honest I don't really have the equipment for streaming yet. The quality would be pretty rubbish if I tried it now. It's something I'm interested in trying out though definitely!
I gave it some more thought by the way.. I've bought a camera and I'm going to give streaming a shot. Waiting for a few bits to be delivered, and then I'm going to test it.... I've even set up a basic twitch channel. Long story short. I'm going to give it a go! Will give you a heads up when it's hapenning!
Haven't used light armor much, is there any set that you would recommend, for having something unique/worth building around? Especially considering how easy it is to get 2 shot using light armor? Thanks for the shout-out man, really appreciate it!
A couple of the ninja armor sets look awesome... Would make you a glass cannon though but with speed and ki recovery to compensate. My pleasure for the shout out.. You deserved it for the build!
@@Onos Hey btw, I was looking for an email to send you a more discreet message, but I think there may be a confusion in your video when it comes to the master swordsman's set. The bonus you describe is from the swordman's power set which is a heavy armour. I believe the mix up may have come from the the triumph of tranquility set, which is also strangely called master swordman's hakama / (armor part). If I'm mistaken then no worries, but if not, do check it out. I unfortunately do not have a full set but the parts I could check for Master swordman's power set, are heavy armour, whereas the triumph of tranquility set with the same name, are light armor.

Been farming him (Daidara) all day. Think I exhausted/attained all other possible smithing text drops. Lo and behold, no prize. I really doubt it even drops from this guy. I've done it countless times. My luck is substantial enough, I do most of the tricks. And, as much as I've gotten other smithing texts, I see no reason why this particular one should be so elusive. What's the basis of Daidara Bocchi actually dropping the smithing text for the Red Demon Spear? I want tangible answers and results lol this is madness.
That's the problem though. Tangible answers are only word of mouth from the community unless I've received a text myself and managed to catch it on the recording. I'll be playing the game later tonight (it's 11am here), so I'll see if I can get it to drop. I'm going to try the high spirited demon and the lady (tenticles) bosses

I just think "apparently, someone has discovered it. There's a reference online for it. Why is there not video confirmation for the drop?" But, perhaps, I am being unreasonable. It was just released, after all...
@@fallibledescending6671 I completely understand and don't worry I didn't take any offence. I feel the same about the art of Combat skill for the Axe. I know where it comes from but I haven't managed to get it myself yet and I've farmed it a lot! Totally feel your pain!

After the DLC, there are even more options now! The new armor set for sword looks pretty good. I won't tell you who it's from (in case I spoil the dlc for you)... But if you want to find out... Check out the most recent armor list video I did... There is an updated spreadsheet

I've heard you when you said about farming the 2 faces of hospitality but it's a very long mission and to farm that will give me white hair...
Hahah you might look good with white hair! You could try the master swordsman armor maybe for dual swords. It's at the bottom of that spreadsheet... The grimmest blades misson.... Only problem is to make the most of it you'd still want to get the hidden weapon skill (sign of the Cross) which is also from Tokichiro!
@@Onos I have the dual blades master armour on me now but it doesn't do to much or at least what I hoped for so that's why I was trying to change it. It's complete 100% with +7.
@@MrFloryn88 wow you're much deeper into the game than I am already! I'm only at +1 at the moment! Need to spend more time playing and less making videos I guess! Maybe try out some different weapons to see what you like. Your weapon skill should increase quickly if you play in new game plus. Then you'll have more options to try
I’ve been killing the same sohaya in beast of smoke and flames for 6 hours and I haven’t gotten the garb. How low are these chances, or am I just extremely unlucky.
A rather earnest inquiry... could you tell me, please, how and where I can attain the red demon spear smithing text? I would be most grateful! P.S. I've farmed both Daidara Bocchi and Lady Osakabe (many times) to no avail. Is there an alternative source/mission or is the game really just raw-dogging me?
Hey Ronin. Yeah if I remember right, you can get the Smithing text for that from Diadara Bocchi in the high spirited demon mission. Not sure if it has to be New Game Plus or not though. Hope that helps
@@Onos, thank you for your reply. As I said, I've farmed him excessively. Received about every smithing text I could from him. Even the Raging Bull armor and the the Realmtaker Spear smithing texts. No Red Demon Spear, however. You really think ng+ would facilitate it? I'm willing to give it a go, I suppose. I should be close if not there already...
@@fallibledescending6671 you're probably right in that case! From my experience the Smithing Texts mostly drop in both new game and in new game plus (unless it's specifically a quest reward in new game plus)
@@fallibledescending6671 I think new game plus mostly just gives you higher chances because of your gear... Higher luck and equipment drop stats etc. If you've tried everything else then I guess it's worth a try!

Hey dude. Yeah at the time of making there was a bit of confusion which I've yet to get confirmation on. I believe there are swordmasters robes for the sword, and a heavy set for the dual swords... Also with the name swordmasters included. Its possible this is tagged wrongly though... If you're able to confirm for sure then I'll make sure to update the info.
@@Onos yeah, I'm going full light armor, dual sword build, and I'm going crazy trying to find a good set, and I was hoping the Swordsman armor was a light now, but upon searching around it seems a heavy armor... which is strange, considering the Dual swords scale off agility, not strenght or energy... oh well
@@Empir37 you could try to build up a combination of the sets and roll some skill damage bonuses to go with them. I've got a few ideas on this but I need to spend some time with the spreadsheets to pull it together and make a vid!

@Mook Makes Cool Content ninja is apparently super powerful! I javent tried it yet myself... I've really enjoyed using dual swords with the kuhoku masters armor for anima build up, but I haven't really optimised it fully yet!
Onos Gaming For the Red Demon Armor, Shuten Doji is found in The Mausoleum of Evil mission. The Opening of the Mind’s Eye is the master level dojo mission for katana.
If you farm the Karasu-Tengu in Dark Omens, you should be able to get all of it from the mission completion drops (the in level ones, not the start point quest rewards). I just completed it yesterday. The head piece dropped for me randomly after killing the sword-yokai in the games first dark zone area during The Village of Cursed Blossoms. pretty sure you just need to grind the enemies in shrines lol
@@Sim-ys7cr You're welcome! And I can confirm that any yokai in a shrine, including bosses, has a chance to drop them. Just farmed Yatsu-no-Kami today for cores and I got multiple Shrine Maiden pieces. I would still farm Tengu for them though as btt youre level 35, you should be able to beat him in about 40 seconds or even arcane lightning skill buff + lightning talisman + tonfa or hatchets = 15 seconds kill no joke, and then just soul match them up to level. The 10 levels difference is not worth the long ass fight with Yatsu

Hey Corey, the shinobi isn't a set bonus armor, but since the DLC, you can roll the random Grace armor sets onto it when you craft or drop divine versions of it - I've done a vid for the grace armor sets if you're interested
