people throw the word genius around way too lightly these days when talking about musicians but this guy this guy really is a genius and was a child prodigy and survived...
Yes he survived and THRIVED that prodigy thing unlike others who have fallen into drugs or just lost interest. I've seen him play a bunch of times in NYC since he was 16 or 17 and he has never disappointed.
bass player stepped up to the plate and on his third chorus in the last 16 hit it out the park. What else can you do when your working with the greatest living musician
hello Bireli, what beautyful guitar do you play there? oh man, first time i´ve ever see you live in concert was in augsburg, university aula late 70ies, thats where i´ve bought my first record of you. it was featuring you on the cover, you where very young, about my age back then, maybe 12 to 14 or so. i was very very excited and amazed by the wonderful playing of you and your band back then. since things didn´t change much.....your playing still amazes me and has me captured by the sheer beauty of musical expression. music is much like a door into the soul of the univers.....keep on keepin on! keep on playing those wonderulf, beautyful tunes for us!° thank you very vey much for doing what you do!
Another thing I love about the GJ community is that no one here is going on that Bireli is using a simple Yamaha Pacifica....you know the focus on gear is not a big part of the GJ world...they make music on anything!
So kind the camera never showed the percussion player, never. Why bother with this type of insignificant detail. A camera that aparently only focuses where "the action" is, the usual.
I can't seem to find any lessons to help with how he's doing that steel sound (stupid google algorithm probably has me in a content bubble). Anyone got a link to something like that?
Great guitarist but What is that with the faces that he trows at the fellow musicians, also great ones ...he seems a little mad with them...just kidding😂
I've seen Birelli a few times live now and he always does something that makes my hair stand on end he has a quirky sense of humour that is so refreshing he is simply awesome on guitar 🎸 touch, feel, style, not to mention mind blowing technique, Wow! Roll on Ronnie Scott's 🎸🎸🎸🎸
