I really appreciate that the focus of your content is mainly on the nurturing and enjoyment of the plants currently in your collection and not so much on constant planty hauls/ shopping! 💚
@@wildfern getting to see how well plants can grow in an apartment, or the struggles is useful. I can’t stand unboxing after unboxing video. content about the content is better than content about the box. I wonder if some RU-vidrs live in a sprawling compound or in a castle, every video is about plant shopping. How can they all fit in a regular home?
What I love about you and your channel is how inclusive you are about plants. You always make sure to remind your viewers how important the PASSION and love for growing them is. It feels nice to watch as someone who doesn't have the spare change to always purchase new ones and reminds me to simply GROW and tend to the plants I already have
@@wildfern I just love all of the supportive comments. You are deserving of all the support and love. Watching you grow has been a beautiful experience that I'm greatful to have taken part of.
Yes! I do this top water/bottom water method all the time and I love it! Definitely helpful to make sure the soil actually absorbs the water it needs and you don't waste as much water/fertilizer down the drain 👍👍
This makes me love you even MORE because people don’t appreciate pothos enough 😭 I once saw someone ask why there has to be so many pothos at my town’s take a plant, leave a plant stand
Pothos are hands down my favorite plants. I set out to collect all the varieties of epipremnum aureum and it took a while but I now have almost all of them and they are SO WORTH IT. My favorite is the Jessenia pothos by far! its like the pothos version of the philodendron painted lady!
Marble Queen was my first indoor plant. She made me fall in love with the entire hobby. The variegation and texture just immediately struck me and uh…. Yeah I’ve easily spent hundreds+ and my collection has exploded. I love pothos and I think they’re definitely just super overlooked and are put into corners and never mentioned as anything special. I think they’re wonderful and itches my variegation scratch!
Agreed, manjulas are super slow growers. Even over this summer with bright indirect light mine has not grown much at all. I kind of appreciate it though. It’s nice to have one that just looks gorgeous and stays the same. 😊
Pothos, the first love for many of us planty people 🥰 so hardy and pretty. And as you said, accessible and affordable! I started with a neon, then I got an N’joy (not your thing, I know). But recently, I missed shopping for pothos and having more of them. I got my hands on a global green and a cebu blue! They should arrive by next week! Yours are lovely, as always. Thanks for spending time with us! xoxo
I have 6 4” manjula. They are all so different that I keep them all separate. Each plant has such beautiful colors that I won’t mix them together as I am afraid to lose the individuality of the special leaf on each plant! Yes they do grow slowly.
I get so excited every time we get to see Greta. My very first plant and deepest love is a Marble Queen pothos as well. So many people look past them because they aren’t “rare” but they are stunning. We all love new and exciting plants but I love every time you bring her up because accessible plants are so relatable 😊 Can you imagine if you replanted all of her cuttings after her giant chop lol you would have a 20 inch pot of Marble Queen.
Great video and your enthusiasm for your plants and their health really shows (hope your mathilde is ok). I really love the minty variegation of your marble queen. Stunning!
Pampering my pothos while watching! I can finally pot up all my neon cuttings ahaha (my local mall has big planters them and im friendly with security, they give me cuttings every few weeks!) I wish my cebu looked half as nice as yours, it just keeps losing leaves on me
hey fern, my manjula is in leca and grows SO fast and has massive leaves!! i have it in a south facing window and i feed it with the general hydroponics nutrients hope that helps☺️💚
Gosh I feel you do much. I love epipremnum so much and I have so many already. And I still want more haha I actually recently got my current top wishlist pothos, the Epipremnum pinnatum marble variegated and I audibly gasped when I saw it at the sellers place. I didn't plan on buying one that day, was there for a monstera dubia and a scindapsus snake scale, but I just had to take her home. Love her so much
Fern, Loved your pothos spa video! Also, put your vacuum model in RU-vid search and will find video on how to fix your vacuum. I did that for my older Dyson and fixed it easily!😊
I had an extremely long golden pothos hanging on the wall before I moved countries and it always made me so happy! It made my space look so jungley and guests always gave it compliments 😁 They're just so rewarding Love to see a video like this about more common plants ♥️
Also it started as a cutting from my mother's huge plant and I gave many cutting to my friends I think it's so fun to so easily creat so many babies from one plant :)
I remember seeing your cebu when you first got that little thing and I was immediately obsessed and I had to have one😍 I live in Norway and they were really hard to find back then. Luckily they’re more accessible now! Loving this video❤
Hi! Love the " Planty Spa Day" that was fun. I really appreciated you talking and showing yourself removing brown and yellow leave as well as the little twigs. I was wondering if you would consider making a Planty gift giving video with links of some of your fave must haves- or next year maybe go over the tools, supplies , and equipment you use- yes you do have videos where you share links- but - to be able to go to one video would be sooo great!?? Thank you- enjoying your work and care!
If the water doesn’t come out if the walley grow, then yes it stays in there. You could water in the back pocket and it will seep into the roots of the plants. That’s how they’re supposed to work. It eliminates the over watering.
I only have two or 3 pothos, but I love them! I have the Golden, qhich isn't even nearly as beautiful as yours! I also have a Baltic Blue, which is fantastic and I love it! I really want the Neon Pothos! I think it's gorgeous! Oh, there are just too many that I admire and will add one day.
You are so adorable and I just love your videos. I am a new plant enthusiast and am just soaking in all your content. Regarding your Dyson, perhaps it's the battery. I replaced my Dyson's battery around the 6 year mark. I bought my battery off of Amazon as it was about half the price of a battery on the Dyson website and it had a larger capacity as well.
The no ID epipremnum kind of looks like a epipremnum giganteum silver! Love your marble queen, the variegation is very sectoral compared to others I’ve seen.
I also really loved pothos and trailing plants at the beginning of my plant collecting hoby! 😊 I still really like them even though I have a lot of different types and I need to differ a little bit the plants I own in order to give more interes when I style them. 😉 Loved all the plant babies you showed us! 💚
Hi , just wanted to say I love your video , you explain points so well ,I have a couple photos my Hawaiian pothos is coming off the pole , the leaves are getting big the size of the middle of my hand ,hope it grows bigger , thank you for your information.
I’m glad to see that I’m not the only plant parent that makes a mess☹️ but I’m sorry that it happened to you, especially if your vacuum isn’t working well😩
I literally started my manjula from a single leaf cutting. I actually started 2, lost 1 after almost 2 months. The remaining cutting has been growing since June. Its working on opening it's 5th leaf now, so 4 new leaves in 6 months.. I have it in my Hoya cabinet under a grow light too. So when they say they take forever, they mean it. 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 I'm so tempted to buy a bigger manjula so I can enjoy more foliage because she's SOOOOOO SLOWWWWW. BUT I do get so excited when she pops a new leaf 😂😂😂😂🤷🏻♀️
Sacred Plant Care Ritual at its absolute best 🤩 Fern, we love and appreciate you so much! Thank you for sharing our Sacred Soil Tonic and your thoughtful process of caring for your green babies and giving them the nourishment they need. (Side note: we have got to get you another bottle with our new label (made of bio stone) and QR code) sending love 🤍🌱 Karina
Oh my gosh my heart stopped when you showed your Mathilde on the floor. Of course these things are going to happen when your vacuum cleaner isn’t working! Hopefully it was okay 💚💚💚
Our Dyson started doing that. It turned out to be the battery. It wasn't charging back up to full. We had to buy a new battery. Would vacuum for 2 minutes and then stop.
For your Dyson, there’s a latch on top of the attachment that can come off and be cleaned. My suction wasn’t working/turning on/off and I thought it was dunzo, but that part just needed to be cleaned! Not sure if that’s your problem but I was unaware of it myself. I always checked the bottom of the attachment and didn’t realize there was a top compartment to clean.
I loved this video thanks for all the great info. I'm happy you included your dropping of plants because that happens to me all the time they fall and spill. Makes me happy to see someone else struggle happy plants 😊
i wish i could just send all my plants to you, about 3 years ago i became obsessed with plants and had about 60 of them in my small room, they were thriving and i loved that hobby. Now for some reason, i dont have any interest in looking after them:/ They are covered in thrips and dying😭 i feel terrible throwing them away but since they are all thrip infested i cant give them to my friends. Your plants are so beautiful💚
I am new to houseplants and one of mine is a golden pothos. Her leaves have some crispy brown spots but she's right next to my humidifier and gets virtually no direct light (but pretty much all-day indirect light) so idk what is making her upset 😩 where the stems split are also browning
SO many plant tubers posted about their pothos today it’s kind of funny, I was wondering if everyone was in on it lol unfortunate for my pothos they all are getting chopped up and most are sitting in water to reroot since I’m moving them from soil to semi hydro after some persistently wanted to rot!
No way haha that’s hilarious! Wasn’t planned, but I appreciate our synchronicity 🥰 good luck with your transfer to semi-hydro! I’m sure they’ll love it.
I really love pothos plants I have a few in my collection I do have the Cebu, blue global green and Golden pothos Are the ones I have they are so easy to care for. I just soak them in water once a week.
your plant just yeeted itself 🤣I bought some wallygrow after I watch your video and I was hoping you could figure out and tell us how the watering back pocket work
you should put your cebu in your wall display it would look sooooo good i feel like its a staple and i know its one of your favs as well so you could show it off better and have it somewhere where you can see it!!
Hello. We have a Dyson stick vac and after 5-6 years we had to get a new battery for it because it wouldn’t charge anymore. Hope you get yours working soon. You need it! 🤣😙
This is so funny, I just gave most of my plants their first shower in months just two days ago. Most are epipremnum because they are for sure my favorite! It’s hard for me to not want every single one of them.. 😅
@@wildfern I found a single wilted baltic blue at Walmart in July. It was literally flat but I knew these were tough plants! He has some gnarly damage but came right back with a good soak! It is pushing out some lovely leaves now and still is a gorgeous plant, would definitely recommend! I want a pinnatum albo too 😍 the marbles are gorgeous but I prefer a bit more chlorophyll in my plants.. 😅
I have a newer collection and my pothos are some of my favorite plants since I they tend to grow more quickly than some of my other smaller plants. All but my satin pothos are growing so quickly. I potted my satin pothos cuttings over a year ago and it literally has not grown at all 😅 I’ve successfully propagated other kinds of plants but this one just didn’t get the memo to start growing lol
I bought a Wally grow and haven’t used it yet but where I bought it from said you put the water in the back section of the Wally grow not directly where the plant is 🤷♀️
Yeah apparently that's how they're supposed to work but I've never done it at way, I guess since I usually water them in the shower. Next time I water I will try it out and see how it goes.
I enjoyed this video. I kind of ignore most trailing plants. I have a very small cebu blue I think I underwater, along with a Mican and a neon, a silvery anne who trails and her leaves are so tiny, a robust brasil. Now that I list them I guess I have more than I realize but I think they’re all relatively small leaved and probably bc I have no interest in giving them poles. However, the sacred elements tonic is very interesting and a great gift idea. I ordered two!
The epi NOID looks like my green form epi pinnatum. Sometimes called Dragon Tail (and not the version that is Raph. decursiva). Basically, the same species as cebu, Baltic blue, and albo.
Did you know that if you take a single vine of a cebu blue pathos and put it on a pole/stick/moss pole, it will grow in size (eventually up to 1ft by 6-8inches) and get beautiful, very pronounced fenestrations like that of some monsters, very beautiful.
I was just saying yesterday that I'm not going to buy any plants besides pothos for a while because 1) they're cheap 2) I know they won't die in my dorm room and 3) because I want to appreciate the basics :)))))
Your no ID pothos is a " Baltic blue pothos" they fenestrate early and are beautiful plants! I have one and I love it! Check out images and see what ya think!
27:37 i dont know what’s in the air but I swear for like two weeks straight I was constantly dropping soil, vessels, plants, etc. It is so frustrating!!
Hey Fern! Thank you so much for highlighting some of the more common plants for those of us who don't have "rare" plants. But I must say that for some reason, my Cebu Blue was (and still is) a very slow grower!. It is the same length it was when I bought it last Spring. I put it under a grow light for the first time (today), as I just bought my first grow light. I would appreciate any suggestions? Thanks in advance!🙂🌱🧡
@@wildfern Ahhh….THANKS so much, Fern! I hadn’t thought about checking the roots since I haven’t had it for long. But that’s a great idea!!….I will keep you posted and hopefully it will be good news!😊🪴🪴🪴🧡
