Personally love these types of videos. I'm simply very fascinated by video game remakes in general and seeing the classics still remembered and re-developed over decades is a blast!
I never had a GameCube but i always thought it was the coolest console ever, i was always blown away by the REmake graphics, even to this date, im amazed that a 6th gen game like that in 2002 can look entirely like a 7th gen game...how much untapped potential did the GameCube die with...
If you look at Wii you can see Gamecube already reached its full potential. They have the same horsepower and there’s nothing on the Wii that looks better than Gamecube.
@@Misty25939 But seeing it like this, would make every other older Remake look "bad". I think the jump from PS1 to PS3 gen is a big jump(2 gens). Better then having one Game that gets "remaked" every single gen. which ends more into "lazy" HD remaster/ports of the same Game. But who knows, maybe they make another remake on PS5
@The tricky tick I 100% agree.. I'm just saying that I love the new touch-ups we've gotten over the years. 2 gens later and I still find Tomb Raider Anniversary as an amazing remake. I'm sure I'll still feel the same about the remakes we've already gotten this gen.
TR1’s gameplay and level design aged rather poorly. The game would be a joke by modern standards. I’m glad the remake came out when it did, and we got modernized reboot trilogy last gen.
Now we need remakes of Syphon Filter trilogy, MediEvil 2, Soul Reaver, In Cold Blood, Carmageddon, Dino Crisis, Final Fantasy 6, Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 9, Tomba!, Alone In The Dark: The New Nightmare, Tomb Raider 4: The Last Revelation, Die Hard trilogy, Duke Nukem: Time To Kill, Blade
from ps1 to ps2 and from ps2 to ps3 were such BIG jumps. i wish we had more ps1 remakes, cus its completely different era of games, unlike ps2\ps3. though most golden classics already redone in one way or another shame on you konami, not making mgs1/sh1 remakes... also i wish we had proper tenchu game.
Ps3 to early ps4 era was a really minor jump. But ps3 compared to later ps4 era is still very BIG, compare red dead redemption 1 to red dead redemption 2.
I like TheTwin Snakes, but there's something wrong with it: The visual looks dark compared to the Original and MGS2 that I can barely see. Some of the glitches kill the game: The camera near the stairs in the tank hangar always spot you no matter what you do, except if you use Chaff and if you get spotted even once you always get Alert 3 times, even if you Reset the game or die and exit. And some of the cutscenes are ruined: the Original cutscene with the tower bridge was dramatic. After the bridge gets destroyed the Hind appears and Snake runs toward the handrail where you're supposed to use the Rope, but in Twin Snakes after the bridged is destroyed a metal debris flies towards Snake, Snake chucks a Grenade at it, WALK TOWARDS the handrail where you're supposed to use the Rope, the Hind appears and there's NO MORE DRAMATIC RUNNING! And in the cutscene where Gray Fox dies, why does Snake scream his name before he gets crushed? I have mixed feelings about the FFVII Remake having an Action Based Battle System. Just having this Battle System doesn't make me think this is Final Fantasy VII. It doesn't even have the Victory Fanfare the Franchise is known for! I've always known Final Fantasy to have Active Time Battle since FFVI(FFIII for Super Nintendo) and FFVII back in 1998. Even since my first experience with Final Fantasy since FFVI, I thought the Active Time Battle Style was a "revolution"! I'm just disappointed that it's not 60 Frames PerSeconds. Especially after the PS3 Tech Demo. Even with PS4 Pro, there's still no 60 Frames PerSeconds! The what I don't about the Resident Evil 2 Remake is not only the Remakers couldn't even keep the old Designs of the factory up to the front of the lab office even thoughthey were shown in RE0, but they ruined the scenario story which was what I liked about the original RE2! And why can't they get Claire and Sherry's Classic Design or Mr. X's face right?
@@Mancan76 i see... i saw a white ps2 in japan, it was a multimedia box, with a remote control and stuff. Thats also called a PSX. I call the original Ps1.
Alpstarr50 ah yes, the PSX PS2 console was a media hub idea that Sony tried to market as a “media player that also happened to play PS2 games”, but it ultimately failed and was only sold in Japan lol.
