TSDash7 wasn't in the guide. Does it have a special name ? Otherwise it's just a random horse. I have yet to find any other special horses in the game.
I remember finding a stall horse for the first time. I tamed it and took it to a stable but found out it couldn't be registered. After that I decided to always keep it nearby so it wouldn't despawn and I could keep it but then the sun came up and it died. For me that was probably the saddest experience I had in the game.
It annoys me to no end that you can't register the special "mounts" in Breath of the Wild. I wish there was a special monster / wild animal stable like there's a monster shop. I want my deer and bear mounts.
+Lord Marlin Same here! I thought for sure Kilton would be able to do something with them but nope. Hopefully the dlc will add this feature. Thank you so much for leaving a respectable comment on the video. I really do appreciate it.
Alternative way to get the Giant Horse: You can actually get the Giant Horse pretty early in the game. Either do a few shrines and get more stamina or cook some stamina food (you get plenty of stam shrooms in great plateau) I suggest you do both. Head to Owa Dam Shrine (the one that gives you stasis) and face southwest behind the shrine, you can see Farron Grasslands on the other side. Just glide over there (should be able to reach with enough stamina/stamina food) and you'll end up at the location where the horse is. Do the usual thing to tame it (prepare to use stamina food if you don't have enough wheels, he's pretty tough to tame). Then once you get him head south (you'll encounter two lynels on the way, ignore them if you don't have the weapons to kill them, there's plenty of space to go around them). At the dead end near some water, start heading east. You're going to head directly to Highland Stable once you find a path. Arrive at the stable and register it, viola! You have the Giant Horse early in the game. The beauty of this game is that, despite having a story path, you can pretty much go wherever you like. So no, its not cheating if you get him early lol
I notice that the Lynels leave you alone if you don't have any weapons out anyway. Don't have the firepower? Just respect the giant Lynels and don't try to challenge them, and they'll leave you be. The mounted Bokoblins, on the other hand...
I found the giant horse by accident and managed to tame him, I knew it was special before I had any idea any horses were special. One of my favorite BOTW memories 😀
I actually did a comparison between the royal white and Giant horse. I did a race between them and the white got a time of 27.04 and the giant horse got 25 even. This was the same distance for both and I tried it several times. I guess the Speed may be slow on the giant horse but the steps it takes are much larger allowing for a pretty fast travel speed.
To be fair, the giant horse also doesn’t have a stamina stat so it can go top speed consistently while you have to take smaller breaks with literally every other horse
Another bonus for being able to effectively steamroll any monster smaller than the horse itself. While not necessarily built for speed, Ganondorf's shire is a real powerhouse!
Speed is technically low but the thing is that it runs as if it's always dashing, so it's actually really fast. I imagine only horses with 5 stars in speed can beat it in a race. It also mows down enemies really casually too. Giant horse is the best horse.
I got the giant horse without even knowing it! I just thought it was a pretty horse oh my god And I rode through the grasslands past the lynels and everything, terrified I'd lose my pretty horse cause I couldn't for the life of me find a stable
i know im a year late, but i accidentally got zelda's horse... i connected the dots when i realized there was no other horses around and it looked strikingly similar to the one in the cutscene, but i didnt know there was a quest for it
There's a special horse you missed. In one of the memories, link comes in riding his own horse that ISN'T epona. This horse isn't a side quest or anything as I know of, but if anyone finds the exact, or descendant of that horse, good job.
Quote TheHumbleNoob- "I am riding Ganon's horse,I'm taking a selfie of me on Ganon's horse and sent it to him,Ganon has recieved the text and is crying."
Kilton's Stable! The Stable where you can board all animals you can ride Including the Lord of the Mountain, a Bear and more! Even horses! DLC coming out... Never
I've randomly found/caught the Lord of The Mountain, The White Stallion, and Giant Horse in game, while just goofing off on my own person side quests... I'm so fucking mad that I can't register the Lord of The Mountain (aka Ice King)
+Yung Thunder It doesn't exercise absolute, metaphysical sovereignty, so it isn't God. It could be _a_ god, but more than likely, it's a spirit in representation of horses and animals. That being said, while the Lord of Mountain cannot be registered at a stable, I do think it would have made sense for Nintendo to provide an item, ability, or long side-quest that allows Link more frequent use of the Lord of the Mountain -- otherwise, the inclusion of the mount is rather pointless. Why include a mount that, ultimately, cannot be tamed? This is a poor representation of planting and payoff, seeing as it's planted, but it doesn't payoff.
Hermaeus Mora well, at least you can do it at all, it'd be kinda boring if you found it, and couldn't do anything at all with it. Like the stal horses. It's be kinda dumb if you couldn't even ride it. So they made it so you could, but only real horses are allowed at stables.
When I first started playing botw, I so happened to be riding a stalhorse when I just figured out that the stables allow you to save horses. I was pretty upset when they wouldn't allow me to register stalhorses, so I shrugged it off & decided I'd just spend the night there and continue adventuring with it the next day.... So apparently stalhorses die in the morning and you could imagine my horror when I woke up.
4:02 The giant horse is actually the fastest horse at a canter, making it the best for riding along marked paths without having to press A. And strength is pretty useless.
Alaizabella Zaida Shoot! I didn't even know that :( that's lame. I honestly barley got all of them yesterday so I only had time to record and get background info on them.
Yeah :/ the girl at the stables says "oh he's not a pony is he?" Lol she doesn't think he'd like his mane messed with. But if you register Zelda's white horse you get the royal horse gear that you can put on other horses, which is amazing. :)
Well I've found much batter horses than the royal white stallion, the best on this list. They're in the area where you find the giant horse. My current horse, one I found in this area, is 5 star strength, 4 star speed, and 5 star stamina. Try it, they usually have at least 1 5 star stat.
Ya know, i hardly ever use my horse in this game. I usually just put on the mountain climbing gear, get to the top fast with that and Rivali's Gale then paraglide to where i wanna go. Or teleport.
0perativeX I occassionally use the horse because I can, but I mostly agree with this. Also the only place where I feel it'd be convinent to have a horse you aren't able to bring one in- the Gerudo Desert.
I remember catching the giant horse, and zeldas horse completely on my own, having ZERO idea there were special horses. I didn't even activate the mission. I was gliding to the memory and it just happened to be there so I mounted it so I could get to my destination quicker. With zeldas. For the giant horse, I was just exploring and found him out of nowhere and tamed him cause he was neat. Again, I didn't even activate the quests. I just found them.
The area where the giant horse is there’s also regular horses with 4/4/5 stats and I recommend checking out the one with a stripe on their face (or white face) and no white hooves, or no marking on face and white hooves. That’s what has worked for me so far
@@AJNoon You used the word 'Yo' at the start of your sentence, which is just a slang word and not technically, part of the English language. Why are you the one trying to school another viewer with their English when you can't speak English properly yourself?
Honestly I just got one of the horses near the giant horse. It has 4 Strength, 4 Speed and 5 Stamina. I don't know if there's an area in the game that has better horses, but these ones seem to consistently be near everything maxed. Also for anyone who wants the fastest path to the giant horse and the better horses around him, just warp to Owa Daim Shrine, walk behind it, and you'll see in the distance the area where the horses are at. So just glide over. Going to have to make a long trip back to register a horse anyways, so might as well just make it a quick trip there and then one longer trip to the stable.
Yeah, but you have to pay in order to get Epona. So it's either pay some money to get a decent horse, or get a better horse early on and not pay anything. Of course there are plenty of people who had the Smash Link amiibo beforehand, but for everyone who didn't and found out about this, it just became a $12+ investment for glorified DLC.
Demonic Akumi I managed to catch a couple of them. They had different colour. I had blue and chestnut colours. Any full colour horse near the giant horse could be one of the best horses
I know I'm almost a year late to this but I've found that the easiest way to catch horses (and bears) is to shoot them with an ice arrow and then stand next to them pressing A over and over until they unfreeze. (My daughter thinks it's mean, but hey - it's just a game.) :D
I ended up finding the royal white stallion after viewing the memory of link and zelda strolling through the horse memorial or whatever it was south of hyrule castle. After the memory ended, I saw the horse in the distance. Had no idea it was the royal steel, I was just pumped to of found my first 5 spur horse.
I hate that I have to look at spoilers to get everything out of my playthrough because I could have easily missed half the botw mechanics and secrets on my own. But I guess that's the beauty of this game and overall charm of being lost in this vast live world. My favorite game now everrrrr
Although I wish the white stallion was a more dominant white he’s one of my favorites, I love all the horses in the game and I really wish Bethesda takes notes on them for tes6
+HackerHaunter WHAT!?! That's horrible :( poor horse. Dirty silver bokoblins and guardians can be a pain to deal with. Really sorry to hear you lost your white stallion. You could always go back to an auto save if you still have one.
i didn’t even know about the lord of the mountain i saw a blue glow as i was passing the mountain climbed to the top and saw all the blue animals and the lord of the mountain spawned next to me and instead of mounting it i hit it 💔
I played this game for hours every day which caused me to complete it within just a few months. I wish I would’ve taken more time to enjoy it because the feeling this game gives you when you are exploring is truly breathtaking. Now that I have beaten it, I can’t get that feeling back. I want nothing more than to erase my memory, just like link, and to experience this masterpiece again.
I found zeldas by accident. I was taking a red one to the stables and saw a white one at night jumped off the red one. Knew that white one was special.
this is the one thing i have issues with in the game, the limitations, inability to register some rare cool horses or even change the bridal/saddle ancient horse gear on the giant horse or epona would be awesome
I mounted lord of the mountain one time, I just made a bunch of stamina meals. I recommend using stealth armor and stamina meals so you dont have to buy stamina wheels. Hope this helped!
I saw the argument/discussion about spoiling the other "mount" ;P . I am subscribing becasue you handled that discussion great, and you get to the point in your video's. Information with out a lot of unnecessary talk. I also like the graphics and the way you edit. I have not gotten very far in the game but I love seeing some of the things to come! Keep up the good work.
Avylline DeGranpre xD it was quite the convo.... Just glad it worked out in the end and most respected each other. Thank you! I appreciate it. I try to handle things in an adult manner but sometimes ppl get my goat lol. Stoked to hear you're enjoying the channel. I've got more like these coming next week. I'll also be getting back into my lore videos and top 5's once the dust settles from this epic game.
Was it day when it crumbled? Around 5-6 A.M. in-game they crumble, since they're like all other skeleton mobs in the game, who either die or go underground in the day.
You can also get a horse similar to Epona and with excellent stats you can find her where you got the giant horse but she only appears after you've tamed the giant horse
I found Zelda’s horse and registered it without knowing it. I was on a regular horse and was on my way to register that, then I saw this horse and I just had a feeling about it. When I wasn’t able to tame it so easily, I knew I found something special. I even called her Zelda at first, but I named her Buttercup.
I LOVE THIS GAME. I remember being a kid in the late 80s and getting my first nintendo. I tossed that Super mario cartridge aside for that shiny golden god of a cartridge. Through the years this series has its up and down points but this game is an amazing addition to the legacy of Zelda. I just wish it would stop raining all the time!
I also found a horse that looks like Epona. She has all the colors except for the white feet, wild temperment. I even named her Epona. For the life of me, I can't remember where I found her, but she was all by herself in a field and I've never seen another horse like her. She's my best horse besides the white stallion!
DLC Proposition: Link should be able to own his own estate, wherein he can stock his own armory and furnish his private stables, and hire NPC's to tend to his property in his absence. Sure, you wouldn't be able to pick up whatever mount you want at every other stable, but you could own your very own heard of whatever you want. And not constantly run out of weapons.
I found a random horse with better stats than both Epona and Zelda's horse, so just because it's special doesn't make it better. 4 str, 4spd, 5 stm wild temperament. It was in the same area as the giant horse for anyone curious.
Items and creatures obtained through Amiibo are pulled through time and space to be brought there, sometimes even from other timelines. So the Epona you get is not some descendant of Epona, but rather, it's the same Epona from Ocarina of Time. Which timeline she's pulled from is largely irrelevant, as Link has befriended her in all three.
A tip for everyone who wishes you to obtain the giant horse: no need to pass/ defeat the two very strong lynels on the way to taobab grasslands. Simply just teleport to the Owa Daim shrine aka the status trial and then glide over to the Tao about grasslands with your paraglider
I went to Outskirt Stable from Saffina Hill during my playthrough. I saw a lone white horse near the road on my way in and thought it was pretty cool, but I was already on horseback so I didn't think much else about it. Imagine how I felt when I found out it was a rare horse just moments later.
Also some things about Epona - iirc, the Twlight Princess Link amiibo gives the same stuff as the Smash Bros one. Also, when you use a stamina wheel, it lasts 4 seconds instead of 3 seconds.
That's a random horse you can tame in the wild. By the way. I was searching something regarding the possible horse stats. Apparently the royal stallion & Epona aren't even the best horses you can get. I found out by taming one of the mostly ignored wild steeds around the gerudo stallion (Giant horse). These have sometimes 4 stars in strength 4 Stars in Speed and 5 Stamina spurrs. Making them even better than Epona. So I tried to figure out if there is another location with all Stats probably maxed out or if it even is possible to get a horse with 5 strength 5 speed and 5 stamina at the same time. But search came up with this video instead. But well if you are searching for the brown one, seek it out on the Taobab plains or what it is named in english version and see, if the horse detects you early, even if you try to sneak up on it, it is a good chance, that it has 4-4-5 as stat. You can even save there and reload your save file, if there is not the right color for the horse or it hasn't the desired stats. Got myself that horse from trailer with bright blonde mane and all foots white and a dark snout. So a way better Epona look alike before I picked up the last Smash Link Amiibo at a random store.
If you go to Ganon without registering any horse, you'll get that horse. Idk if that specific horse is actually find-able, it is Link's horse in the cutscenes though.
Reika Izumi I think the only "horse" with perfect stats might be the Lord of the Mountain, unfortunately. I've tamed over 50 horses from various herds around Hyrule and haven't found any with 5 stars on all stats. The best ones seem to be 4-4-5, 2-5-3, or 5-3-5 depending on how you use your horse. Quite a few of the ones I've caught have been identical to Link's cutscene horse, but theres nothing special about them
SAME I was searching how to get that horse it's a shame you can't find him, he is on the amiibo and not only that in the cutscenes too they should of have done something similar like the descended horse of Zelda
When the sequel comes out, it ought to allow you to tame & keep all animals, including the rare ones. Better yet, you should be given the ability to customise your steed & any other animal partner, i.e. select it's gender & change it's coat colour.
Fun fact: Like the Stal-horse and Lord, you can also mount but not register bears. I have done this with the Honeyvore bears, and I'm pretty sure you could also do it with the Grizzlemaw ones.
I spent literal days riding bears and trying to get them to a stable but always wound up getting knocked off and losing them. I think it was both bear species. Zelda has to wait, I'm too busy weaponizing cuckoos and riding bears.
I have only had 1 horse die. The Royal White because it decided to buck as we were crossing a bridge shortly after registering him. That buck caused us to fall into the river killing it.
@@okey3093 Yep. Made the trip out there to unlock it after that horse died. That horse is suicidal though. Had to tame it 2 times because the first time it jumped down the cliff face into a spot it couldn't climb up from.
I just wanted to point out that whether or not you can tame a horse depends on how many times you can press the L button before it kicks you off, although having more stamina does help. You can even get the Giant Horse with using only one and a fifth stamina wherls!
I remember riding to the horse statue for the memory and as i was riding my own regular horse, the royal stallion rode by my side before getting spooked.
I find that the easiest way to get the giant horse is to start on the stasis shrine on the great plateau and then to glide there and make the way to the NPC while wearing some sort of mask to trick the Lynels for a short time, like the Lynel mask or the Majora’s mask. After simply follow the path and get to the stable after finishing the quest. You don’t even have to start it first! Just get the horse and talk to them for the quest. Hope this helps!
When it comes to the Giant Horse, I go for it immediately after exiting the Great Plateau; I make a lot of stamina-potions, as many as I can hold, then "borrow" horses until I can climb up and paraglide down on top of the Giant Horse, chugging those bad boys until it yields to me. Then I just have it run past the Lynels, keeping close to the hills. They usually don't pay me any heed or bother me, so you don't have to waste resources going in or out!
I’m not even kidding I went back to the tabob region (after getting the big horse) and found a horse with the best stats I’ve ever seen. Five for every single stat including speed ,strength ,and Spurs it’s monstly black with a white mane and tail.
I knew something special had to appear at that cherry blossom area. I've only been there in the day time lol I put a star there just incase if I needed to come back and looks like I do
I dunno what a blupee is. But what is the glowy rabbit looking thing that keeps appearing in forests as I'm adventuring?! I didn't know what it was and whether I was supposed to catch it or shoot/kill it to start a quest. But either way, I've failed every single time! I'm still pretty new at the game so far (just at Kakariko Village, though I've done a little exploring elsewhere, too, but not much). Is that a blupee? And am I supposed to do anything with it or is it just part of the world like the fireflies and faeries that are beautiful to gaze at and be amazed?
Call me a super-nerd, but I love trees and forests. But ever since I became disabled I haven't been able to go out and walk trails like I did when I was younger. Playing this game, there are places I can go and stand and it SOUNDS like I'm standing in a forest! It's the most peaceful sound ever and I can just put the controller down and just sit and listen. =) (until night comes and I get attacked. *rofl*)
I just stumbled across the giant horse/stalhorse on accident and figured there must be some more special horses and that GOD OF THE LAND has to be caught by me!!! Thanks!
Funny story - I wanted to look up rare horses and I saw Ganon's horse and I thought: YES. A horse that could kill most regular enemies on impact? Hell yes! So I went to go track him down. When I found him I wasn't quite sure how I'd manage to do it... Until I realized that as soon as I saw him I was running straight towards him and ended chasing him straight into a wall which he got stuck at and couldn't run away from me, so I didn't just catch him on the first try. I caught him in basically 10 seconds. XD
Epona pro tip: amiibo cards, ebay, $12. Also, lol @ "longer video" at 6 1/2 min but the armor one suggested next is 23 min. Anyway, thanks for the quality content!
My dad told me about it, I tried to get out of the valley without making the Lynel notice me. It worked, eventually. I litterally walked out on the other side of the Taobab valley
