Imagine surviving 13 years in a zombie apocalypse, only to die to a fucking firework

“God’s not here anymore” really goes to show just how far Gabriel has strayed away from his past self when we first met him

My favorite is the reaper who got killed trying to thin the horde. Like, imagine fighting zombies for 10+ years and all of a sudden one of them dodges your swing and stabs you. Would be absolutely terrifying.

The last scene where Maggie kills them all and Negan watches her is such an amazing scene. The music score that accompanies it too is phenomenal.

Gabriel was the star of the Reaper arc in my opinion. The only other character that I can think of straightaway that has evolved as much as him is Carol. Both in the beginning were pitiful and looked the most likely to die. Now they're some of the most badass characters.

The music for when Maggie decides peace was never an option, sounds oddly reminiscent of 28 Days Later. But in a good way c

Maggie did what was necessary at the end. Maybe it wasn't the "right" thing to do but those were loose ends that couldn't be left undone.

I just feel bad for Wells. He looked like a nice dude just trying to take on two herds at once.

What I like about the Reapers is that they reminds me Rick’s group when they’ve met Negan’s group. But now they’re in the other direction, Maggie knew what Negan felt when he seen Rick and Maggie’s group getting rude of his own, that’s why she started to listen to his advice to kill the Reapers so they won’t bother anymore

Damn i wish we could’ve seen more of the black guy wells. Even leah said he is known to take down hoards of that size by his self with ease crazy to think of what his backstory might’ve been just to die by a fake walker with a mask

That look Negan gives Maggie when she kills Carver is just insane. Almost like the scene was supposed to pay homage to when Negan killed Glenn.

I'll tell you what. Daryl and the others were DAMN LUCKY fhat the Reapers were such a small group. The thing that made the Saviors and the whisperers so dangerous was the fact that up until season 6, we had never seen any groups who had THAT many people. And both of those groups had advantages over most of the other civilians: actually knowing how to kill people and being sneaky with the masks and walkers. But the Reapers are mercenaries, so they've been killing people even before the apocalypse. And even though their group is only like, 20 people, they showed us enough footage to show that all of the members know what they're doing and they're ALL capable fighters. Like even Austin lasted longer than a lot of the other henchmen that Daryl had killed. So they were legitimately threatening, but their size made it easier to deal with them, since they could be divided. But imagine if the Reapers was an actual army, like a group of 100-200 soldiers. The survivor's would've been screwed.

This group had pottencial but pope ran em down sacrifing his people for tiny victories.

This group honestly had so much potential. I really loved Pope as a villain.

Too bad they cut off Negan's grin after "Call me Gabriel"

man i felt so much fear for wells, absolute badass just taken off guard. imagine his shock “did that walker just fucking stab me?” his facial expression when he gets shanked is so good and his arrogance turns to fear so quick, almost felt bad for him and when the walker rips his throat out his scream disappears, nice touch

I'm gonna have to give props to wells, guy knows how to fight and doesn't look like he's breaking a sweat dealing with the horde. Definitely someone you'd want on your side during the apocalypse

Maggie shooting the Reapers from the back still gives me goosebumps. Reminds me of the days other groups use to cross Rick.

They should have kept them on the show longer they were brilliant and quite scary at times, which is what a show like this needs.

Boone, Washington, and Carver's deaths were easily my favorites. God I love that scene. Edit: Montanio and Fisher had cool deaths too. Love myself an explosion.

The show may be diffrent these days, but its still has its moments and I still enjoy it.

The last death was so satisfying. Carver was a great antagonist.

You ever think that part of Negan's transformation was seeing people who were just like if not worse than him? That the saviors were nothing compared to the Reapers, Whisperers, and the commwealth and he realized his hubris?

It's cool they finally brought Austin to the show.. I pictured him more badass though but he held his own vs Daryl with no weapon for a minute anyways

I'm torn saying this because I absolutely love where the show is at in regards to the quality of storytelling, but I wish the Reapers could have been a part of the show for longer. They were so fearsome, so skilled, so dangerous. Shame the show couldn't have had one more season to fit in more time with them as the primary antagonists.

Show dropped in quality after Negan arrived. I know Glenn’s death had to happen but he was the heart of the group. Killing Carl off was stupid as well. It’s like the writers had no idea what direction to go with in the show.

It seems like everytime somebody falls they get picked to the bone, yet none of them appear to be that eaten.

Imagine being Wells, and when yoy are being overwhelmed by Walker when you attempt to strike one it dodges and strieks back. To be caught off guard and be in a dangerous situation. It would be mind baffling and cause you to be in like shocked I would think.
