I just noticed the Sages and Champions are the same voice actors: 25:59 Gerudo Sage - Urbosa’s Voice 19:26 Goron Sage - Daruk’s Voice 3:35 Rito Sage - Revali’s Voice 12:20 Zora Sage - Mipha’s Voice I love how they did that to bring back the voice actors of BotW, except for Daruk’s because him and Yunobo are the same actor.
@@Wolfsinger96 i think it more implies that the sheikah were inspired by the zonai, or are descendants of the zonai with all the eye imagry within the zonai tech 🤔
@@descendantofthesparrow1843I rather doubt that they were descendants since it's said that the Zonai called Rauru founded the Kingdom of Hyrule, so his Era must take place at least somewhen after Skyward Sword, and the Shiekah already existed before Skyward Sword as we can see the first incarnation of Impa in this game

Timeline Theory: Sheikah technology began development shortly after Rauru sealed Ganondorf. Zelda warned them of the Calamity before the Zonai tech returned to the sky. The Shiekah used the time they had to study the Zonai technology and replicate it. The Four Divine Beasts were named after the four remaining sages; Ruta, Rudania, Medoh, and Naboris. A thousand years pass, just as Ganondorf said, and the first Calamity is born, later fought by a cloned hybrid of the myriad Hylain races, coincidentally named Link.
This is actually a very interesting theory! :0 I too also thought that the Divine Beasts were named after the Sages. (It is definitely safe to assume that the Sages bear the same names of the Divine Beasts.)
well, unless teba and revali are related, revali wouldn't had been a sage. Not to mention I'm pretty sure revali, urbosa and maybe daruk would had been dead by the events of totk
What’s kinda funny is that if Teba was actually the new sage instead of Tulin and if Sidon was genderswapped, we would’ve had an entire generation of the voice actors just talking to themselves from their past to their future selves.
@@DaveysCards To be honest, I don’t really know why it was changed for Tulin to be the new sage than Teba. I mean he had a pretty important role in Botw not to mention that he was one of the most popular characters since his debut and he got even more popular with AoC. Although it is worth noting that out of all the characters that helped get you into the divine beasts, Teba was the only one who got noticeably hurt by the divine beast. But considering that about 5-6 years have gone by since Botw in Totk, that should’ve been more than enough time for him to heal.
It's possible that Teba has trouble fighting now and days after his horrible wound and in the AOC timeline he may have seriously overdone it. Maybe now he just wants to take it easy and though he could of healed it's possible that the wound still caused his body noticable drawbacks like how some people still have a strong limp after seriously injuring one of their legs when it didn't heal properly.
@@RandomTransGurlI did mention that in my comments. I mentioned that Teba was injured in the fight against Vah Medoh. However, at least five to six years have gone by since the events of Botw so his leg would’ve healed by then and it doesn’t make too much since since the rest of the sages were either leaders or accomplices to the leaders of their respective homes. Tulin is likable don’t get me wrong, but the change is just a little strange IMO. Not to mention that AoC isn’t canon
It’s so sad that Daruk, Mipha, Revali and Urbosa didn’t live long enough to awaken as sages, they could have definitely survived if that was the case 😢
@@AbaddonEXE I doubt it since Zelda’s time and light power is what awakened it when she is willing to put herself on the line 100 years ago. Time can sometimes created into two realities like how Ocarina of Time has created both the Child and the Adult timelines
[Statement has been retracted] Revali presumably can't become the Sage of Wind, as he seems to share no blood connection to the original Sage like Teba and Tulin do.
@@ahuman404 Sages don't need to be related. What makes someone a sage is having a secret stone. And Revali has wind powers which can be amplified by the secret stones.
Riju and Yunobo have the best two awakenings in my opinion. Yunobo’s secret stone becomes a freaking sumo belt, which makes sense since Gorons love to test their strength in sumo matches, and Riju was always happy being around Link and was so happy to get to fight alongside him.
The generation before did a terrible pass down to this one if revali and the other champions of his time knew about the stones they would have been so much stronger
In their defense, neither the champions, Link and Zelda aren’t aware about the Imprisoning War. If they have known the Demon King is connected to the Calamity, then the tragedy wouldn’t happen. Lucky for them, Terrako went back in time to warn them and creating a diverted timeline.
I personally like the fact the skill was passed down also if the 4 champions survived I'm pretty sure the only one who would still be alive would be Mipha due to the long life span of a zora. I don't think it was a bad thing to pass it down to those who will live long lives and grow along side Link and Zelda. Do I like this group more than the champions... No... But I'm excited to possibly see what power they might have if they have another sequel in this part of the time line.
A potential Hyrule Warriors: Upheaval Something-or-Other could include champions from like six eras and/or worlds. Considering Zelda’s latent time powers combined with Terrako’s abilities, the third game could just as well be stuffed full of Spider-Men and Terminators, lol. I’d of course hazard the remainder of the figures who were named after the Zelda II villages would be reiterations much like the most recent one of Rauru. Which’d lead my imagination to presume there’d be other inevitable reimaginings of the various roster selections, many of which one may be familiar with as participants in the first Hyrule Warriors’ roster… i.e., Medli with talons. X3
You know, for an artifact called “secret stones”, these things weren’t quite secret. Case in point, if you review the Dragon Tear Memories, Ganondorf knew what a secret stone was the second he saw it, and from there put a plan to get one specifically because he saw three in action during his first conquest attempt.
I think they're called secret stones because they unleash the secrets in ones power... But something like sages stones or sacred stones would be a better name
based on the color of the spirit sage, it seems that they've changed shadow to spirit. Maybe makes more sense to have a spirit sage than a sage that represents darkness.

Notice that Sirloin didn’t completely show the cutscene of Yunobo inheriting his secret stone. I really like Yunobo even if he doesn’t get enough credit. Sad that he or she didn’t record the entire cutscene. 😭😢😔

I like to imagine that they were supposed to be called "Sacred stones" instead of "secret stones" but someone at nintendo spelled it wrong and by the time the va's voice acted it they were like "eh, heck it"
Wouldn't be surprised that the Divine Beasts are inspired and named after these sages. Therefore, their names could be Ruto, Medli, Darunia, and Nabooru.

I think the Water Sage is Ruto, the Fire Sage is Darunia, and the Lighting Sage is Nabooru. I think they are this games version of these characters like how the Sage of Light in Ocarina of Time and Tears of the Kingdom are both named Rauru. I’m not sure about the Rito though….
They clearly aren't tho. They don't look anything like them, they lived in a period of time that's either waaay before the events of Ocarina of Time or waaay after, plus Nabooru never had lighting powers. She was the sage of spirit.
