I like how Shockwave actually would have let Mo leave when she tried to save Megs After all, he has no reason to be hostile against her. She's no threat according to his calculations.
And after that battle she proved to be one indeed: She made him hesitate from just shooting Megs right then and there. And that few moments of hesitation was his downfall.
So kind of like Megatron when he was controlled by Unicron in Transformers Prime. And after that incident, Meg disbanded the Decepticons which broke Starscream's heart; and here he broke Shockwave's.
I overall like Earthspark's Shockwave, but I really don't like that he just stood still during the last fight, he didn't even react after the others were incapacitated and just got an axe to the chest. For a ruthless scientist as powerful as Megatron and Optimus he really didn't try to think all that much there. I'm exited to have him as part of the cast in second season tho.
shockwave in a nutshell: "This Shockwave is fighting his own war and he has no he has no rules, no boundaries, he doesn't flinch at torture, or genocide. He's not loyal to a flag or any set of ideals"
The voice of Shockwave in this TV series is simply incredible, and the appearance in robot mode is great. But the altform.... Again, he transforms into some kind of crap. In the "Cyberverse" he was some kind of a cross between a beetle and a spider, here he is some kind of a turret on a stair, But in general, he is awesome.
Cyberverse Shockwave was a Spider-Tank, like the Scarabs in Halo. He’s not just a thing like his WFC Siege toy, or a regular tank like TFP, or a gun. He’s very clearly and obviously a spider tank in Cyberverse
To be fair, it didn't help a bunch of G1 transformations were much worse. I mean, Megatron G1's transformation is iconic, but… it's just a gun. G1's for kids nature was the only reason he could utilise it properly without others because cartoon
He got a cow friend. Honestly, Shockwave and Soundwave are cool and badass enough that they can beat the crap out of their former master in a 1v1 with no sweat
@@Its_me_Stolas Most of the Decepticons can beat other Autobots in 1v1 combat.But due to movie plot Autobots are rarely alone, and Decepticons like sending out either hordes of nameless goons or a single named Decepticon that will most likely be outnumbered and outplayed.
Imagine how fucking tense this show woulda been if he did that and just straight up killed megatron in their first ever encounter since the betrayal. Of course it’s megatron, so he’d be back but…good lord.
@@xtxownage Thing is in other iterations, Shockwave is usually the one that wants to overthrow Megaton the most, even more than Starscream. I remember in 1 iteration, he proposed to Meg to sacrifice all the Decepticon goons to feed some kind of machine/weapon, a plan which even shocked Meg.
You can honestly feel bad for shockwave in every scene he is in. In the first scene we see him is when he’s talking to megaton then 10 seconds later gets betrayed again 2 time he fights megaton and kinda lost due to plot 3 time we see him he’s being control
@@SkipperSuffers honestly he is I believe soundwave is more hurt and hates megaton more due to him use to being his most loyal solider you can feel more pain in sound waves voice then shockwaves but the one that megaton hurt the most is star scream
@@SkipperSuffers Megatron and Soundwave seem OP to me, and not to mention how Shockwave mopped the floor with Megatron in his debut episode throughout most of the fight.
@@cato_sicarius indeed. Why people are saying they're nerfed when those other episodes say otherwise is baffling to me, despite Shockwave's disappointing death in the first part of the final episode before he came back online later in the last episode.
I fucking love 0:34. He sounds oddly Australian and British 6:50 She has a point. Shockwave has literally tortured, murdered and mutilated thousands. He's controlled and manipulated people into hurting their friends. He's done the most horrific things known to Cybertron
Even tho he changed into good IDW did too but it was "logical" cuz cybertron was dying his homeworld which is an interesting motive to turn his back on the decepticons for his home its quiet nice honestly even tho he wanted rule and lead or opress his people but we don't this megs original motive for cybertron and he still is a badass
I quite like this megs his motivation in turning his back on decepticons was quite intriguing and understandable and he still has his badassery and shockwave was mopping megs in his first fight with him
@@ILovedarkspeakerman i understand you point of view, but he still quite..pathetic, i dont find another word, megatron a cybertronian who literally almost destroy his own planet ( some he literally make cybertron basicly a wastland) just to obtain control and power above the others, a man who would kill, torture, and manipulate to get what he want, of all version of him this one of the worst, and earth series weak too, not the worst, but mid to bad, some things are cool like some designs and the voice acting, but as a story is a little weak and some concepts too, like the earthcybertronians ( not gonna put all flaws in the nonbinary shit, the cybertronians dont have a gender exacly so we cant use our denominations on them, abd a curiosity is common to f bots and m bots being gay, because the f bots live more in a separate area, is rare to exist heterosexuality) and the villain is mid so yeah...

I like this design for shockwave but the cannon just doesn’t look right It doesn’t need to be as large as prime fall of cybertron or bayverse shockwave but a small spike just doesn’t work all that well
This show was probably one of the bad (not worst it does have it’s moments to shine tbh) but overall bad in my opinion but seeing how both of the Waves react towards Megatron was great Just hated how everyone just….”expects him” being an Autobot like flashback on him releasing that he’s on the wrong side of the war but nope got nothing But meh but having Shock and Soundwave in here was pretty cool just wished they had more things to do tho
It doesn't directly say it, but they do mention a few times that the Ranger character said something that gave him his change of heart. And given how he reacted to Shockwave talking about a Class system, likely he realized the Decepticons - and himself- had turned into something as bad or worse than what they originally fought.

Once upon a time, the Decepticons fought for equality and wanted to bring Cybertron back to life. Now they began to turn into pathetic villains. Great disappointment.
Isn’t that the whole point? That the decepticon movement turned from a revolution for equality into a violent conquest due to Megatron’s constantly escalating ambition and penchant for violence
Isnt that why megatron turned to the other side? Like i mean if you want equality by taking power, or "deceiving" You can eventually go power hungry, which is sometimes what megatron did, getting addicted to dark energin and such Being so power hungry from wanting equality can even blind someone to such points that they can see others as a "lower class" Completely having the loop of the "your not better than them"
