Brett Brett start with all season tires all the way around. the car has tons of grip and traction to begin with so narrower the better. from there as long as you can keep the tires spinning without very much drama it's pretty forgiving.
little lacking in power tbh, due to the mid engine layout they naturally have high grip in the rear where you need some decent power to break that traction. Pair that with the open diff from factory you'll struggle to produce predictable slides. That said with the right technique (weight transfer) and a way to reduce grip (wet roads, skid-pans and/or cheap tires) you certainly can have fun sliding about at lower speeds, even in stock form.
@@NitroNuggetTV yeah in the process of turning my mrs into a drift car. gunna put a limited slip on it and boost it at some point. Just wasn't shure if I needed to put a different engine in it. Do you know if he is using the 1zz engine?
@@masonpasteur3490 sounds like a fun project! If I’m not mistaken the car in this video used a turbocharged 2zz engine, that produced around 260hp at the wheels. Seemed comfortable keeping the wheels spinning at that power.
@@NitroNuggetTV yeah that sounds about right. My goal is to be as good as this guy lol. Its just so rare to see mid engine drifting with the price of the cars going up and up so, I just hope it will separate me from the s13's that are two toned from the blinker fluid to the spare tire.
Very nice video! Its good to see more mrs/mr2 spyder owners making videos. I myself am a creator, I make videos about my imported mrs from japan. I’m hoping to see more video from you!
