Yeah my 3-2 is very sloppy. I havent done that many runs of this category so I still need to get used to that. But you dont need to rocket ride in order to run this category there are ways to do all of this without it, though those are slower. As of now I have 41.8 hours in the game. Maybe it just comes easier to some people and harder to others. To me, really all you have to do to rocket ride is freeze projectiles with the freezeframe rocket launcher, launch a rocket, jump, slam into the rocket, and unfreeze. If you're in the air without a rocket you can also look down and launch a rocket, then grab it with the whiplash to start riding it. As someone with only 41.8 hours in the game, I have P ranked P-1. Maybe I'm just naturally good at movement shooters.
I’ve never seen this category and this is one of the most confusing speed runs I’ve ever seen lol, is this a relatively new category that hasn’t been optimized or am I just not getting it lol
the category has existed for ages but because the devs kept adding bullshit style bonuses no one has ran the category in months. About two months ago they changed the rules to allow menuing between levels which allows me to enter only the levels i need to enter. And yes this is not very optimized as what you are whatching here is like my 4th run of the category
that wouldnt really help as with how im positioned i cant even see the plushies. I basically use the whiplash autoaim to grab the plushies after i shoot the hook into the crowd of plushies. Actually trying to aim for them would end up being slower imo
I'm just wondering how you got Out of Bounds on 3-1? Does whiplashing that stray there clip it outside of the level? And is that consistent enough to do over other out of bounds methods? (Dropping enemies in the secret exit of 1-1)
I actually have out of bounds routed for 0-2 though in this run i missed it as I moved away to quickly unloading the stray. Since the out of bounds bonus i get in this run is grey it means that gibs must've fallen out of the map i dont know which ones or where but it happened to save my run here

I was trying to figure out if I should keep trying to get core nukes (I can't hit my cores for some fucking reason) or if I should give up, take mal rail out of slot one, and start using electric raincannon coin combos (I can't consistently hit coins through enemies either but like, I guess I'll have to try lol). Anyway, watching how you use alt core eject and electric rail showed me a great in between I could try. Thank You! also that combo at 18:09. Noted.
Keep in mind that during most of the combat in this run im usually trying to set up or get a certain style bonus, which might not be a good show of how to play. That one railcoin you timestamped is just a setup for the pancake style bonus. For better fights check out my cybergrind speedruns. Also alt shotgun makes core nukes very easy as the core is so close to you. When using default core lots of people make the mistake of always fully charging the core which will send it flying at speeds that make it incredibly hard to hit so if you are using default core eject make sure not to charge the core very much for nukes.
@@nirichy lovely. I’ll drop a sub just so I can “collect more data” And I did try core nukes on alt to little success but tbf that was before they completely reworked how the core inherited trajectory so idk
Honestly I find a fast nuke significantly more helpful than a fast railcoin. Esp since u need to wait half a sec for a bunch of setups anyway in my experience
@@m4rcyonstation93 I honestly haven’t been able to get used to alt in slot one lmao, especially figuring out how to launch stuff and get it to land in the right spot. That being said, loving my new load out.
its you. Dont post comments like this if you dont know the route let alone the name of the style bonus you are referring to. I did not forget the +Landyours style bonus because the time you pointed out in the video is not where i get this style bonus anyways. Had you watched the video fully you would have seen that i get it later in the run. Additionally there is a timestamp for every style bonus in the description. Also in order to even submit this run I have to go through it to timestamp every style bonus meaning that i will not have missed one.
you need to stand up against either side of the hallway facing the wall straight on, then you jump. As you start to hit the curved ceiling you start to move back a bit because the ceiling pushes you. Shortly after you notice that you are moving backwards you place the frozen rocket. Then, without moving your camera you walk backwards until you hit the other wall. From there you performa dive. If the rocket was placed at the right height you will clip through upon contact with it
@@zikof5646 well you can set the difficulty and i have set it to 1000 elo which is the minimum. ill be experimenting with strats but for now im just beating it with the maxmum level chess ai on chess.com
@@nirichy wait but i didnt see out of bound(happens when teleporting enemy has gone too far bc of no barrier issues in sandbox, like when minos doing die/crush to sky or sisyphus teleporting to dead mindflayer/gabriel/etc that doesnt die right after dying.)
