It is fun when we find a book we both think we will enjoy. I'm trying to think which book I will read with him this month. While the city sleeps is really good. I forgot to mention that the main character writes a newspaper story about people who work the night shift. The title of the book is what her stories are called. I can't believe I forgot to mention that! Thank you for watching!

I read 15 picture books for the Picture This! Readathon and I totally counted them on Goodreads! 😂 Actually, when I read a picture book I usually read through it once to get the lay of the land, a second time studying the art, and a third time (often the next day) really focused on the writing. Also, participated in Katie's Shower Me with Flowers Readathon. Fulfilled all the prompts with seven books. Yay, me! 🙌 😂 Now on to Southern Charm!

My favorite reads from April were Across Five Aprils by Irene Hunt and The Land Beneath Us by Sarah Sundin. Both 5*s. The first is a children's/mg that does a stellar job at presenting the nuances and complexities surrounding the American Civil War. The second is a marriage of convenience set during WWII. I think you would enjoy them both!

I have heard of Across Five Aprils and that Sundin books does sound good. I have some of her books on my shelf and I haven't read them yet!! I was thinking maybe in June to read some WWII books.

I read Love in Tandem, While the City Sleeps and the Women. Loved all of them. I also think it’s wonderful that you and your hubby read together sometimes. Thank you for the fellowship.

I have started noticing more books taking place around Vietnam. That really interests me since my dad fought in it. That one sounds good!

Did he ever talk about his experiences there? In this book it seemed like the veterans didn't like to talk about their time in country. I am sure it was a tough time.

That is ok...I actually filmed my wrap up video twice!! Ugh...I recorded it and then while I was editing there was a big glare in my glasses the whole time and you couldn't see my eyes. Now I wish I had contacts because filming with glasses is a pain. I changed locations (which I didn't like it there) and filmed again. So I am sure I forgot stuff the second time.
