Thank you for this video, when i first heard of the Espers reference, i felt even more excited to play the game, and i loved the fact both Tatics and XII are related, i was already having some interest in playing it, now i want even more lol
ohhh thank you so much! That's exciting to know! I was playing the games in order so when recognizing Espers names I was like "wait a second?" because I haven't played FFT at that point, so started checking all the inspirations/what they were based of. I love these things so I want to share the details put into it that can go undetected for many ♥ I hope you have a lot of fun while trying out those games!!
That's the spirit. It doesn't matter at all if some people get antagonistic about it, your own experience and joy out of it it's something irreplacable, in any case. In my case, I enjoy a lot the sense of journey and how distracted I could get by running around and discovering things I shouldn't lmao
I've been told! And now that I think about it it's very cute and it makes me want to check how many of those inspirations are, because I know for sure Cait Sith is also from there
I love this game. Random NPC's are given names and and enemies are named fun things as well. I saw a variation of the flan named Fubar which is an acronym standing for f*cked up beyond all repair. I burst out laughing when i seen an NPC's with the name 'Balzac'. The people that made this game had fun with it and it shows in the main game and the details.
Great video! Very well-made, loved seeing the pics and clips for all the examples, and extra info like the Dullahan palette swap. I also didn't know the four Chinese beasts were represented that way! They were the four gatekeepers to the final boss of the endgame content of the first expansion for FFXI. Also, I've always thought Zodiark looked too much like Necron for it to be a coincidence.
Thank you, I appreciate it very much! I always look for that symbology of the 4 chinese beasts because when I played Digimon World 3 as a kid, the towns were named like that, and then saw Bt'X and they were also like that, and now everytime I see something similar I scream, for example: the cities in FF Type-0, they are 4 cities called like that too 🤣. Good appreciation on Zodiark, I think that as soon as I saw it "existed" in FFT, I immediatly linked it with it, without checking other details
Haha! that's amazing. The algoryhthm work in mysterious ways, it might be that this video got a resurgence this past week and we were talking about the right way to pronounce Cúchulainn as its an IRISH folk inspiration, who knows 🤣. Thanks for your words!
oh thank you very much! I certainly can't agree with the quality part, but I did want to put out there how cute it was that the Espers were in one way or another, linked to previous ones.
Any opportunity I have to be like "ah yes, just like my Saint seiya memories" I will take it. And I just can't talk about Zodiac signs without mentioning that
@@DroWarriorOfLight i will take any opportunity to talk about saint seiya! It's so criminally under appreciated in the united states' 🥲 I literally went to a convention as overalls Shun and no one even noticed 🥲
Shin Megami Tensei taught me well that I've been saying it wrong for such a long time. It slides off the tongue way easier than the cacophony I once tried to pronounce.
That does help and makes sense, as it's clearly not the only Irish myth inspiration with the Cait siths around. Thanks for that! I know I ignore complete it the way to say them after seeing the name variations of the original translation of FFT and being confused lmao
