As always, when we say we do everything in the shop, we mean it. Lol Chassis work last week, fiberglass work this week and we almost have it all wrapped up! As you guys are watching this today, mom and I will be finishing up the front clip and dad will be finishing up the doors this afternoon. There's still a lot to do to the pieces, but it is so nice to see this much of the fiberglass work done... and I am READY for the fiberglass (itchy) work to be done! 🙌🏼 Thank you guys for continuing to watch the build and for being a part of the Quest for the Sixes!

@minterfab If I was a young guy/girl and into cars , I would be befriending this family and learning everything I could from them to keep thier knowledge going for the future!!! I Tried to get Dave Stuckey kustomrama.com/wiki/Dave_Stuckey to teach me what he knew way back in the day and he said no one taught him his skills and now he took all that knowledge to the grave with him 😢

this is true but also remember this family are the people that others pay to do this kind of work because they have the skill and years of experience doing exactly this for other people :-) not trying to take away from their awesomeness but pointing out that their awesomeness extends far beyond what we are even seeing :-) if I had the $ I would hire them in a heartbeat for a build that I myself could not do. and the best part of it all he has a family that wants to learn and carry on with his/their work.

Dave Anderson, and his dad, owned Anderson Industries, AKA AI Fiberglass. They made the first 55 Chevy one piece front end in 1962. Dave is an old friend of mine. AI Fiberglass was located in Elkridge Maryland for many years. Dave has been retired for years. He also made the body for the second ZZ Top 33 Ford. It's great to see a family team building all their own stuff.

It is awesome to see the next generation getting into and enjoying learning the process of how to make a race car. I tried with my kids but my 2 girls wasn't as into it. Although 1 of my daughters has taught several boys how to change oil and tires on their cars so that was a definite proud Dad moment. Keep up the good work! You have a ton of work still ahead of you.

Best series on RU-vid thanks for the updates Alex, this would be the best TV show as it is. None of the usual rubbish that masquerades as a car show. Real car people would watch this for the knowledge and not for the absolute trash that they put out with false non car people churning out rubbish for the fame. I’m in the UK and built my own 55 Chevy so I can really appreciate all the stuff that goes into a build like this.

'55 was the first Chevy V8 and changed amateur and professional racing forever. I got a used '57 210 2 door post for HS graduation and bought a "Corvette kit" from the local GM dealer for about $40 that consisted of a performance cam and set of solid lifters that kept the hydraulic factory lifters from floating at high RPM. A friend and I installed the kit and I raced the car at area drag strips for the next couple of years regularly. I only lost one race with that car and had a roomful of trophies. Those were the days.
