A little about me:
Sean Daniel is a man. A man of simple needs and desires. And the one desire, no, the one NEED, that stands above all is to spread the challenges, joy and intellectual stimulus of music to people of Earth and beyond.
Born on the mean streets of upper middle class suburban Chicago, Sean learned the ways of the world through the dizzying heights of success to the lonesome depths of failure and emerged with the promise of a better tomorrow reflecting in his eyes and fiery passion in his belly.
He plays and teaches guitar on his RU-vid channel where he regularly releases original music and projects to the adulation of legions of fans, who often compare him to Chris Pratt and one time Ryan Reynolds. He’s currently in the market for a nice leather jacket.

So, about a ten minute setup time? Pretty efficient gig rig... Love the H6- so useful! And I have seen brand new, still-in-the-packaging power extension cords... usually when someone burns up or destroys the old ones. Being a sparky and all. Not everyone can have (or afford) a Kindred. I'll let you deal with that 😜😂 Y'all sound great! Thanks for the vid, kids! 🙏

As always, great video Sean. I strip it down even further but I'm strictly solo. (Usually) Since 2020 I've been doing my gigs with a Bose S-1. Pro. Battery powered, so no extension cord. If it wasn't for my bag with my tip jar, container of CDs, redundant cables, stand etc. I'd be lugging in a bag with mic stand/mics, guitar, and a pole stand (Just recently). The S-1 has reverb unlike my L-1. So, find the best corner to play, set it up, plug in two cords (Guitar/mic) and rock and roll. I don't think I could get used to doing the old mixer/pa set up again. One thing I started doing with my cords a few years back, I keep them in HD freezer zip lock bags. Nice place to write which cables they are on the bags, keeps things from getting tangled, and they don't mold and stay fresh. ;-) Keep up the good work.

Sweetwater carries everything you need but you bought your phone clip off Amazon ? Also this seems like serious overkill considering every venue hiring live performers will have their own PA. And there are much, much cheaper options that sound as good and are much more portable and light weight to boot.

Hey Mr Mids..Like this channel bruh. Been at it decades too. Would never use Bose outside unless world ended and bose store all that survived. Almost never indoors, but i get it. Whatever works for the individual. Most folks are now accustomed to hearing reproduced digital signals anyway. Liked your other GPCPA4. Taylor is another piece would be last resort. It's all good though. Chic ahoy so that works. Not a minimalist rig there by far but to each his own. I'd go with a JBL EON ONE MK2 battery powered for that type public busk gig and a used Martin 000X wood top hpl back sides. Any mic will do. All depends on whether I'm paying for the gear too. Having done tons of these type gigs; I find the following helps earn the most cash. 1. Don't wear clothes with labels (DMB style). Don't wear jewelry. Hide the $2k cell phone. I always use used beat up gear buy from GC that works perfectly but looks like I found it in a pond. Have some tape on something like its broken. Wear oldest shoes I have. Always wear a hat. Bum hat if possible. My theory folks smell money and don't tip subconsciously. I don't talk much to the audience although do a proper intro and outro so don't seem like creep. Kids love music so i always play some kids tunes and parents pull cash out every time. Me and Julio, If I only had a brain, upside down (JJ), etc. Never play originals when playing for dollars. I'm sure you already know all this stuff. "Anyone celebrating a bday...!"

My wife is also a nationally competitive bodybuilder so when I open up the red velvet case, there is a sign with a stage pic of her and it says CARRIE'S BODYBUILDING FUND. Everyone gets a kick out of that and it brings out the Grants and the Benjamins!

Love you guys' video here! But it is freaky how much we have in common. My wife Carrie and I are a duo called Idaho Muscle. We are an all-request band and have played together for over a decade. I play only Taylor guitars and my go-to is a 914ce. I fell in love with Bose for a sound system when they came out with the L1 and we can rock tiny venues up to large outdoor venues with that. I got rid of every mic I owned after I bought a Seinhiemer so we are on the same page there. Carrie plays her Fender Adam Clayton bass through a super portable Orange bass amp but she does not sing. I do get three part harmony through and amazing harmony pedal from Digitech. Anyway....loved this video and what you guys are doing. Keep it up! john

The vocal sounds great. Please take this as a positive, I would try to make the guitar tone more robust, adding some mid's and lower end. To my old ears it sounds treble heavy, or all in the upper mid's? Again, please just take that as a positive, just an opinion around enhancing the guitar sound/tone. I didn't want to say 'thin', but again I would try to add some more mid's and upper lows maybe?? Great job Sean, always appreciate you and what you do!! 8) JMHO --gary

@@robdy2k "Salty" is exactly what I was trying NOT to do! I like Sean, my comment was just to offer an opinion/help from someone with over 50 years experience playing small gigs/venues. I have hopes that he took it that way, I've commented several times here and he might know that. He is also more than capable of "salting" me without your help. 8) --gary

@robdy2k 2 года назад
@@gtr1952 I was just kidding man. Tone preferences are pretty is subjective and down to personal taste and anyway, you never get the same tone from a soundboard recording as the live PA sound so pretty sure it would be fuller if you were there. You've got a point though, Sean seems to dial in a tone that is fitting into a rhythm section. Personally I love cranking my TC electronic Bodyrez pedal when it's just a single guitar.

@@robdy2k When we play as a duo (2 pc) I use 3 custom Mojotone solid pine cabs I had made. 1- 2X12 w/cream backs center, and 1 each side 1X12 w/alnico blues, all driven by an H&K 18W head. I use one of my 335's ('74 I think) w/flat wound's on the bottom 3 and plain on top, custom set of 11-54's. Just an ancient Boss BD to take the top off a little. I do a hybrid alternating bass thing most of the time, it makes a lot of sound out front without a lot of volume. 8) Of course when you have a little 'whoopsie' everyone knows that too. LOL I don't do those as much as I used to. I lost my wife 2 years ago, and I'm content to stay home and build a few guitars in my shop these days. Sorry if I barked back. @@gtr1952 hey Gary, really sorry to hear about your wife. My wife was diagnosed with a tumor aged 36 and had to have two surgeries a couple of years ago so I know some of the darkness you've experienced. Fortunately my wife got the all clear and was signed off from the oncologist today so we just have to keep doing music together, enjoy life and hope it doesn't come back. Playing music helps distract me from the dark feelings. I hope that you can find some willing souls to get out there and keep going brother. I'm sure that's what your wife would want, she must have fallen in love with a gigging guitarist I would imagine from all that gear chat you gave me (only understood a couple of things, sounds impressive though?), so I imagine if she was here she'd want you to keep up with your passion. I was going to follow your advice and try this setup, and then I remembered I've ruined my voice, today, by shouting at someone who came to a dead halt (and then reversed, too!) in the slow lane of a busy road everyone speeds on (speed limit 60km/h; minimum speed 80km/h; no maximum). He forced the guy behind him to reverse, too, by getting out to go and have a fight with him. On the road. And he left his door open. Unfortunately I was on the far side of the road so couldn't just run up to him and hit him until he got back in. I think the guy behind him must've been doing something antisocial, but ... I mean it's like coming to a dead halt on the highway, almost. I got stupid myself, I suppose. (Quick path to stupidity is anger). My excuse? I go past the spot where a car killed a runner the other day. Didn't see her, thank goodness, but ... These drivers are idiots. Which is beside the point. I'll get my rig going if my voice ever recovers. Maybe I should start a RU-vid channel about that road instead?
