Hangout Events are intended to be repeated multiple times so you can get all the Endings so it makes sense to have a Skip button so you can get to the choices faster
Yeah I totally love the high pitch voice of a flying fairy annoying me for over 3 years, mixed in with a generic anime plotline and characters, so I guess it makes sense to not have a skip story button on the main quests and event quests...

The artifact set recommendation actually seems useful for people that don't want to look up guides. And even the rest of it is decent even though its basically just max everything as much as possible. Its the sort of thing you'd tell new players anyway (unless they try to do it to too many/not great characters and go too wide)
@@Tom-101 ...hear me out. Forward Vape Neuvilette with Xiangling, Sucrose and Furina. You E with Neuvilette, deploy Guoba, and double Swirl with Sucrose for VV and EM share and extra Pyro application from the Ult. Then you Ult with Furina, then you Ult with Xiangling. Then you swap to Neuvi and Charged Attack. Neuvi's self-damage/heal will max fanfare, and Sucroses Pyro Ult + Xiangling's no ICD Pyronado will make every tick Vape, as long as you don't deploy Furina's minions.
This is actually not bad feature. As it allows to make some sort of preset and do not "redress" you characters because you have a limited amount of artifacts. However the actual preset feature could be very usefull because sometimes I want to use a bit worse artifact to be able to use the strong one on another character.
Ngl the reason I tend to stop doing hang outs after getting one ending is because I had to listen to the repeated dialogue. So I'm so happy for this. I know people will complain about "why can't they add this feature to actual quests" and I get the sentiment. I personally would at least want the option to skip all the dialogue in commission quests. At the least, it would be nice if we all had the option in every cutscene. I'm a story/lore lover too but I would like the option for people who don't have that kind of patience. If someone is misinformed about the lore because they skipped the dialogue, then that's their problem.
This. I don't want to have my time wasted on paimon regurgitating everything x character has just said literally 5 seconds ago every 2 minutes, or listen to 76 different talking radishes through a 12 hour long world quest (aranara quest never again). Is this an rpg or a fucking visual novel?
But in reality, that's not only just "their problem," but our problem, too. Fandom often misunderstand something in the game and later made a big fuss about it in the social media.

@@Andre-0207 I don't think that would even be a problem if 90% of the dialogue in the game wasn't pointless filler. If the pacing was better people wouldn't have issues understanding the story.
Since it is a skip button for the dialogue if you've gone through it once, I like it a lot. It will help me go through all the hangout routes easily now. I personally do not want a skip button for main story or world quest dialogue.
Reminder that you can start a hangout from any junction, not just from the start. So skipping dialogues is of limited use there. What I do want, is a way to skip or dramatically shorten some daily quest dialogues.
I don't know if I was the one who just realized it or if they just put it in this version, but in the teapot, when you place some characters to raise their friendship level, in the small menu at the bottom the level they currently have appears with a number so you can choose who to put, leave or remove.

Actually, I dare say that if this new banner is going to use pink wishes, it should substitute the limited time character and weapon banners in their entirety. Have the two featured characters + the permanent ones, the featured weapons + some permanent ones. Have people roll for what they want without having to build 2 or 3 different pitys.

That "Skip button" thumbnail really got me. I thought it was for all dialogues in the game, but thank god it's just for already heard voice lines in hangouts.
Everyone saying "they should not add a skip button for main story" is so fucking annoying, acting as if it would affect their whole life if they did. Not all players play this game for the fucking story (expecially since its meant to be focussed on Action RPG Overworld and not on fucking npc dialogue reading) and not everybody even likes the story. I personally think that the Archon quest is very good, but all the world quest are dogshit, they care so little about them that they dont even have voice acting (if they arent even willing to make their product good why tf would I consume it in the first place lmao) and the character quests are so boring until you get to the end part where you start actually doing something with the main character of that quest. And do not get me started on fucking paimon and useless npc dialogue... this game has way too much and a skip button is needed for people who dont give a fuck about it. Also for people like me who have multiple accounts having no skip button means having to do the same dogshit quests over and over, making us losing sanity by spam clicking. They could just fucking add one and the people who dont want it can just not fucking click it. Its already in the game and this further proves they give no shits about the minority of the player base, they just listen to their average CN casual player. But yeah maybe if they did add a skip button they know they would lose too much player retention and they couldnt give the playtime data to investors since people would play maybe 20 mins a day. What a fucking degenerate multibillion company this is.
I hope they never add it. Not only that, the amount of unskippable stuff as well as time limited quests should increase too. Fomo to the max, to fight whiny crybavies like you. It works wonders in making a healthier gamd community

I dont give a fuck about knowing how the Genshin world got to a certain state if its presented in the most boring way possible. I sure hope they add more dogshit content like the petting cat event so that you guys sharing a single braincell in the whole community can all enjoy it and keep eating the shit that HYV is shoving down your throat. I will still keep not playing the game in the current state it is in and will do something better with my time.

People not realizing the skip button has been in game since the beginning. It's only there when your internet got cut mid dialogue and you relogin. Holo doesn't want you to speedrun their game the first time

Like every visual novel game has those and Genshin has alot of dialogue. What I'm saying is, make it a option "optional" for people who already seen the story and just wanna get on with it. It's a option for people who wanna skip, and people who wanna listen to the story then they okay
People who are saying its good that they don't add the skip button in the main quests are missing one thing. People who dont want to read the story will skip it anyway by just spamming. Adding the skip button wont hurt anybody since if you wanna read the story, then go on, no one is stopping you. If you dont, then instead of frustratingly having to spam through the dialogue, you can now just skip it altogether. I say all this as a big fan of Genshin's main story. Sure it sucks that not everyone sees or enjoys the effort put into the archon quests but to each to their own. I do have to say that some of the event stories (for example the current alchemy one) dont interest me one bit, so it would be nice to have a skip button.
Great QoL changes. As someone that's been playing the game since its first week, it has definitely come a long way. What about the higher graphical settings that were rumored for 4.5?
It's funny coz apparently the devs of Genshin chose to copy from Honkai: Star Rail and then add everything that Honkai: Star Rail already got, like skip buttons, artifact recommendation, and underground map lol 😂 they're in the same company but it proves that Genshin could actually did that a long time ago but they just decided to work on unnecessary contents rather than fixing what's already exist
Also new books? I know there are some you can buy in Fontaine but it’s not included in the video.. there’s one particular book, Perinheri, which people are saying has some pretty significant lore so some might wanna check that out..
I don't fully agree with the "leveling talents for exploration not needed". You feel the difference when you do the combat timed trials and haven't raised them enough. DPS is still needed outside of Spiral Abyss, especially for solo players.
I love the new QoL features and updates (including the new banner, as it is literally a better weapon banner) that they added in the past year and I think they are perfect, but at the same time I feel like they should've been added way earlier, like at the start of Sumeru. But it's better late than never and I'm glad HoYo finally listens, even if it's just the smaller issues.
The reason i prefer the skip button in the main story is that i have 2 accounts. And i don't want to repeat the main story 2 times. As i already read it one time. I don't want to do it again.
All this and they still have not given you the option to make your loading screens dark to save your retinas from being burnt by 1000000 suns. Brilliant
I don't know if this was changed in this or the previous version, but you can no longer ooen the pass (f4) while doing abyss I only realized cause I was trying to do the charged attack thing and nothing was happening
there should be a skip button to the quests/voice lines (especially long, several window ones!) you have already gone through, and also the ability to replay cutscenes in-game. it's baffling to me these are not featured also there should just be a skip button, even for archon quests. it's not for people who aren't gonna use it, but there's a large percentage of players who play genshin not as it was intended - challenges, changing servers, speedruns - that would help a lot

So if I lose 50/50 then on the next point refresh I can still use the guarantee even tho the new point is zero? If yes what if I use the carried over guarantee for a character? Will the guarantee still work

A skip button in hangout events? A step in the right direction. Now we need the same for daily commissions (I dont need to hear old pops in mondstadt rambling about his son for the 546th time), and 12 hour long boring world quests.
Personally, I normally wouldn't mind not having a skip button. But genshin's dialogue can get (somewhat) convoluted at times, it becomes mildly annoying
