All Them Witches is the hottest musical act to come out of Nashville, Tennessee in decades. I'd pretty much given up on rock; they give me hope for its' future. Burn it down, All Them Witches!!!
I've seen some people saying that they dislike the more droney vibe this album is giving off (at least form the 3 tracks that have been released so far),but I'm really digging it.
i like all the witchy themed things... alabaster being the object made from the alabaster crystal. Talisman, an object adorned with magical good luck energy.
The end of that song is awesome. It has an early QOTSA guitar tone and overall feel to it. I did see these guys open up for Mastodon at some point in the last few years, but I am unsure of the album that they were touring for, but none of the songs from this album are sounding familiar. Regardless, I have a feeling that I am at the opening of a rabbit hole with this band...
Saw them play in Brighton UK, , spring 2019. Missed the first half of their set because I was performing elsewhere, but arrived to this one. Brilliant! Even without their former keyboardman."
I grew up in a town Dancin on the alabaster Some days I'd burn it down If I could buy the gasoline The streets are filled day in and out with little monsters That's life I guess and every day is Halloween I've seen the darkness' real face And I've seen the preacher's real face I've seen the shining light rally through the alabaster And walk back over the mountain I went without a mask Dancin on the alabaster People crowded round They thought that it was quite obscene How dare you show your dirty face around these streets When we all stand here so polished bright and clean I've seen the demon's real face Nothin' I've seen the toad's real face I've seen the prison face Shining like the alabaster That walked over the mountain Left out of town that day Dancin on the alabaster Barefoot I travelled Barefoot I arrived I tore the fields down Down to earth and rubbled plaster Laid my bones out Breathed out a sigh I crawled through the leaves I crawled through the leaves I found a place shining like the alabaster But I crawled through the leaves I know the snake's real face I know the puppeteer's face I know the shining light calling me back to alabaster But I lost sight of the mountain I lost sight of the mountain I know the darkness' face I know the preacher's face I know the demon's face I know the toad's real face I know the prisoner's face I know the snake's real face I know the puppeteer's face I know the profiteer's face I know the churchyard's face I know the graveyard's face I know the president's face I know my father's face I know my father's face Every day they look more and more like me Every day they look more and more like me Every day Every day Every day they look more and more like me
Tremendous! Great sound on this one. Love the incorporation of the percussion instruments. Production shows greater emphasis on vocals as well. Really well done.
The sold out cd release concert/party at Nashville's EXIT/IN just blew my mind...Get ready if you have tickets for this tour..They just get better each time I see them....Hope someone posts some video...
one of the first bands for long long time, expressing a certain stage of music´s original multidimensionality? guiding each listener back to where he derives from and belongs to. can't really describe what I feel when listening to these guys- but it´s incredibly awesome... and I´m really into joining them mentally, consciously, rising up and up above, day by day, flanked by those vibes of multidimensional-music 🤘🏼As I wish to you all!
You guys are amazing I have loved everything you have made so far... Keep up the good work, come back to the UK soon and not just London this time. ;) x
A dream from which i could learn, learn about thats living in wake, wake of the sun burning through the day, maybe one day I'll know what its that i am supposed to say, say to you speak my mind once more and give all thats in me, maybe you'll find your way
I went without a mask Dancin on the alabaster People crowded round They thought that it was quite obscene How dare you show your dirty face around these streets When we all stand here so polished bright and clean I've seen the demon's real face

Anybody have any clue on the meaning of the lyrics? Unlike a lot of major psychedelic rock out there, the lyrics are coherent and seem to be telling some story but I’m unsure of the meaning behind it and would love to hear theories or anything.
Every one has a face they put on ( a mask) and hides they’re true self, or they just want to be like everyone else wearing a mask. He is saying he doesn’t want to wear a mask and pretend like everyone else. That’s how I understand it
I better get on something stronger to try and enjoy this one. the guitar is trying harder to save this song than a confused preacher tries to save a smart man.
This verse hits hard considering how the world has lost it's mind lately. This is exactly how I live though. "I went without a mask Dancin on the alabaster People crowded round They thought that it was quite obscene How dare you show your dirty face around these streets When we all stand here so polished bright and clean"
Kurwa! I znowu ta beznadziejnie brzmiąca perkusja. I chujek, niewiele to pomaga. No nic, wychodzi na to, że i ta grupa skończyła się na "Kill them all". Jednak może album będzie inny niż ten bełkot. Greetings from Poland!
