ALL UHMWPE SWITCH! Good or BAD IDEA?! (Frankenswitch) 

The 415 rev. 4 problem is twofold - they tried to change the plastic mix to reduce the shrinkage that was causing stem incompatibility with all but the tightest of keycaps, and second they didn't test the result before full manufacturing runs and shipping the product. Now instead of being too thin they're way too fat. You can't fit tight keycaps on them, and they collide with the housing causing constant friction. The problem is even worse in a tighter harder housing like a boba. I tried those and it was so tight as to be unusable even with a 67g spring in it. It just wouldn't return properly, it became like a bloody tactile, almost a topre capacitive kind of feeling because of how hard the stem binds in the top housing on return. At least the earlier revision I had would work, even if none of my keycaps would stay on the stupid abominable things. The fact they sell these things still without realising that they fucked up entirely on the design, manufacturing and QA phases despite this being the fourth revision of the stem shows that they'll likely never learn the lesson and will continue pumping out scams.

i made mine with a tangie housing and the stems of the lychee linears and damn they are smooooooth

i made a modified version of one of these with a p3 stem from a jwk quartz v2 and a tangie housing, smoothest shit ever

Funny right? Like on paper UHMWPE have a 0.1 friction coeficient vs 0.3 of Nylon or 0.25 of POM. But real life usage is another thing. EDIT: This article says two materials with very slow friction coeficient can have that issue www.theremingoat.com/blog/switch-plastics

Ah ! Good to know. Had the same idea, 415keys wont ship to EU though so you saved me a ton of headache :P Maybe those stems can fit better in Gateron Ink Blacks ? Since those reportedly have an UHMWPE kind of material too.
