Matthew McConaughey is the voice I wish I heard in my head.

Every single person has a story worth telling to everyone else. As long as people take responsibility and ownership for everything in their story, I'd like to read them all.

I love Mathew so much. His book saved my life. I was working a dead end job driving trucks, trying to support myself while i tried to be an actor and a writer. I listened to his book on tape as I was driving across the states, delivering building materials to angry contractors and foremen, and then one day...I took his advice. The universe rewards leaps of faith. I quit my job and threw myself at the mercy of freelance work. Auditions after auditions with no income to support myself and in less than three weeks I was cast in a major motion picture. Mr. McConaughey, you don't know me, but thank you for giving me the courage to start my life for real. #greenlights

I have 40 years of journals and dream books and auto writing. There is nothing like it. To read of your past in your own words is priceless. My kids are amazed by what I recorded over the years. They are young adults now and I hope my writing has inspired them to do the same.

At 15, my mum stole and photocopied my diary which was a huge turning point in my life and to this day 15 years later at 30, I still struggle to face the page with pure honesty. It was a huge betrayal and violation of one's trust. I don't exaggerate when I say everyone got a copy. I even got one as well as my teachers, friend's parents, the police and only God and my mother knows who else. My brother stole it back a few years later and I still have it now in a box somewhere. It truly changed me. Took me over a decade to write anything personal and more often than not, I would burn it. I'm still finding my voice or at last the courage to use it.

McConaughey Sir You Are A Such A Knowledgable Trip!! I'm so glad I started journaling in my late teens for it most certainly has helped me grow and process the world more efficiently!! It is also great to be able to open up those old journals and relive memories and experiences that my older brain has sadly forgotten!! It is a true treat!!

I like the sound of this. Life is a challenge, with many hurdles negated or jumped. Some we crash into others we sail over, all navigated and knowledge gained. I can see my children enjoying such a book when I am gone.

Guidence templates that assist one in self-reflection and staying on track with who they are and where theyre wanting to go is helpful to even the most stubborn of people among us... To aid or redirect someone back to rationally leading themselves and let go of fake excuses and pointless distractions is probably the best gift anyone can provide (as a creator of works). We all know things and sharing it to entertain or help one see what theyve been missing is a great, compassionate thing..

We are all on different paths so we can’t at all compare ourselves to anyone else. I keep a journal and although I don’t write everyday like I should be I enjoy writing. What I learned from you besides from your book is that it’s good to have a bit of stress and anxiety because it means that we a give a damn. I love to journal..been doing it for years..still have them all..the pain, anger, beliefs, sad times, business ideas, philosophy, all of it..boy has my mindset changed since I began...I got to see the Bullshit I believed change..the Dogma either grow into certainty or fade away..Journaling is healthy..write more in a book than on any social media..you will thank yourself for it.

I really loved the book, too bad they didn't have it in English in my country and Amazon shipping is crazy expensive out here, but still, what a great book it was. Really helps me to get through tough times, I've put it out, se when I see it I can remind myself that I just gotta keep L-I-V-I-N and be grateful for each day!

Greenlights is a book worth reading. It takes you on a ride and challenges you to skip off his adventure to begin your own. Much more interesting than a sleazy tell all that only degrades the writer and readers both. Here's to looking forward to some greenlights.
