Spent some time there last month, February. It’s a low budget all inclusive resort. The porridge was the best at breakfast. The food is not very Jamaican. I had a stomach ache every meal. Tips for better service. Huge gap with how the local and international guests are treated. Petty staff and management. Overall is was not too bad. I won’t visit again. Hope you had fun ❤
@@KBDProductionsTV It is because the content creator failed to include that one bit of information in the title, that it was at an all inclusive hotel. As a Jamaican, if I am in Montego Bay and want to enjoy an all you can eat breakfast buffet, I couldn't simply walk in an all inclusive facility. They only offer lunch on a day pass anyway.
Why travel all the way to Jamaica to eat pancakes. Part of traveling to another country is to experience the whole culture which includes the ethnic food they serve.
I totally agree but I was just showing people what this hotel has to offer for breakfast. We did make videos of eating Jamaican street food and Jerk chicken
@@KBDProductionsTV you need to go visit hawaii sometime if you haven’t already and spend at least a week and I been there a couple of times already with my mom and dad and my brothers sometimes
When I go it will be my first time visit in Jamaica as well but you and Carol gave me some great spots to try for my first time but my breakfast would have consisted of porridge those sausages look pretty tasty The Omelette and sort of fruit salad mix with coffee😊😊😊
@@KBDProductionsTV well Moon Palace Ocho Rios has authentic Jamaican breakfast, except for their peppermint tea and "callaloo" (they actually serve collard greens) which are imported.
I don't think all-inclusive resorts serve authentic Jamaican food for breakfast/lunch/dinner! Maybe they just serve jerk chicken and oxtail. It's sad IMO.
And do you know this hotel took away public access and yes paid public access to the beach from the Jamaican people...why would you want to support this???
The staff are next level friendly 😊 Thanks for taking us to Jamaica 🇯🇲 A place I would love to go but know I never will. Happy travels Ken and Carol 🤘🤩🤘🦘🇦🇺🦘
It’s such a bad comment to make about “ virus waiting to happen”. I j guess you haven’t been around NORTH AMERICA and the issues with food poisoning more so the behind the house bribery to cover up their food inspection by the agents.
The Brackfast looks amazing. I"m not so in sweet side for Brackfast, I like pikant Version of Breckfast. But I like some Fruits. The Stacionary of Buffets looks very good. You have all Thinks here.
I just got home from a week in the dominican republic and it was a very similar setup there. In your opinion is this resort kid friendly. Planning a trip to montego Bay next year. Thanks Ken
You could try the Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton been twice now. First time was before covid and it was fantastic. One of our main highlight was breakfast. There was something for everyone and it was of exceptional quality. Staff were amazing and the spa was to die for. 2nd time was after covid and you could see the impact it had had on the hotel so it wasn't as good as before but still worth the visit. We're planning to go back. There is also it's sister The Grand Palladium which I have been told is very family friendly.
That's a fun breakfast menu, more like an all day breakfast, very hearty first thing. That cakey muffin or bread looked scrumptious. Aww no Carol. Oh my, the prices..
The fruit you're talking about is called Ackee and it's very expensive. I've personally never tried it but it's available in Jamaican restaurants here in the northeast US. Supposedly it looks like scrambled eggs but tastes more like fruit than anything else because it is a fruit.
Those other items are breakfast worthy. It's of the Jamaican culture. Just like here in The Bahamas🇧🇸 we have things of our culture you might look at and say eh, but don't knock it until you try it.
When I was a child my parents made corned beef hash using canned corned beef and hash browns. I also like hash browns mixed in with eggs and ketchup on top. (x
Next time.. visit Excellence in Montego Bay... it makes this breakfast look like child's play... they have a restaurant called "the Kitchen"... simply unmatched... I believe you'd love it..
Butt flavored butters! Lol. I just got back from tue Dominican Republic and the Iberostar Grand had cinnamon churros on the breakfast buffet-they were the best. Diet over!
The Decameron Cornwall Beach is a fantastic seafront resort built 6yrs ago in the hip strip of montego bay we stayed there a few years ago what we loved the most is that every room has a SeaView without premium rates it is also allinclusive the breakfast has a good jamaican menu like pepper pot soup for breakfast ackee saltfish hard food stew chicken steam greens meats on the bone cowskin soups this resort has a wide selection of fresh fruits seasonal even with our allergies there was a lot to choose from we really enjoyed our stay and was very relaxed the beach is clean and well equiped with the beach chairs and sunshade staff is soo pleasant entertainment team was soo engaging without been pushy this video brings back such happy memories the location is great for airport Access margaretiville Drs cave and loads of taxis
I stayed at the one in runaway Bay. It was excellent. The vibes was good the staff were very humble. Funny thing I like it's not the young crowd favorite. My husband and I had fun. We felt included. Thanks for sharing your video.
A Jamaican who was just going through news feed saw your story and I definitely love the different choices they have there and I think I want to go there. I work with hotels in the US and they aren't all inclusive so this is always a A+ for me,definitely will go here when I'm back home🎉and you got yourself a follower for sure.
They seem to have a big variety of food. The fruit looked really fresh and yummy. It’s so sad to see how little they make per week. That kind of money would not get them far in the U.S
Nice video, especially showing us the breakfast options. I think it's very cool of you to be considerate to the staff by tipping. Every $ dollar helps.
