I just completed a solo canoe trip of the Allegheny from Coudersport, PA to the Ohio river in Pittsburgh, PA. I started May 29th and completed the 311 miles on June 21st. 2024. It was a journey of a life time. I passed Buckaloons two days ahead of you.

That’s amazing! That trip is definitely on the bucket list for me. How was dealing with the locks and dams as you got down closer to Pittsburgh?

@@SideKickExplorer Locks were no problem but you must follow their schedule of operations. Kinzua Dam required that I pre-arrange a portage date with the Army Corp of Engineers. They picked me up with a truck on the reservoir side then transported me over the dam and into the river immediately below the dam.

@@crazyhorse1634 I'm planning on trip from Dam to Emlenton, what was your mile per day? was told plan on 15 miles

@@Owenkicker I averaged about 13 miles per day. My biggest day was about 30.5 miles and my shortest day was only 3.7 miles. I was not trying to break any records. If I were to do it over, which I would love to do, I would take more time.
