I’ll admit this is the first time somebody offered an alternative perspective of Tupac for me. And I believe it. You have to note that 2pac thought he was helping. He spoke about meeting people where they where at. He wanted to help the hood, he got in the hood. It's like a cop going undercover, and infiltrating an organization. but like those cops who go under for years and years they can get in to deep. I think if he wasn't wih Suge/Death Row he would've moved on from that life but like Caine in Menace to Society...it was too late

I understood everything Allen Hughes said about Dead Presidents. And it’s good reflection on his part. Dead Presidents beautifully captured that tough 60s period whereas a lot of movies miss the mark on clothing, hair, cinematic color, etc. It was difficult to watch because there was absolutely NO vengeance for Anthony. I think it’s fine to end movies in that way from time to time because it is a fact of life. We had to sit with a hard truth for him.

His "dear Mama" docuseries is great. I was skeptical too but watching it and this interview changed that thought. Allen Hughes probably kept a lot of resentment from 2pac having him jumped UNTIL he had to do the research for the film. He was 2pac's peer. But now that he's more than twice that age & following 2pac's story since his birth it really gave him perspective. 2pac attacked him when he was 22. That's younger than Jaden Smith is now. That's the age of the actor who plays Tariq in Power: Ghost. Imagine if he really started rolling with people who gave him more street cred from doing the show. Then you give him millions. I really wish we got to see 2pac at 30...hell he had just turned 25 ...Imagine him at 26...
