The slash pocket you describe as meant for a boarding pass doesn’t fit a standard size boarding pass when folded in half. Would be a good thing to point out in your review.
Hello, how many passports can this wallet hold? I’m wondering if it will fit an American passport in the designated sleeve, and 2 German passports in the cash compartment? Thanks.
This can double as an EDC pouch, either in leather or nylon. Store your pen. Put a notebook in the passport slot. Travelers Company and others sell B7 passport-sized notebooks which fit perfectly. A7 notebooks from Rhodia, Rite in the Rain and Life Noble would also work (I use those in the Allett Original). Field Notes would stick up a bit. In the credit card slots, store a Victorinox SwissCard Lite, LeverGear Tool Card and Clutch 5K charger. Hell, maybe even a Boker credit card knife or an old SOG Synch I. Keep a fresnal in the cash pocket.
My favorite passport travel wallet! Personally prefer this over the Bellroy because the Bellroy is just too long when you open it up. The Allett wallet is super-thin, light, and fits everything into the smallest profile possible while still having great organization, a pen slot, perfect-sized slot for a passport, and 2 slots for different paper currencies... and still feels slim in your front pocket. A game changer, and worth the price. Best. Travel. Wallet. Ever.
It would be nice if you reviewed some of their regular wallets. Try as I might, I can't really justify a passport wallet - the idea of keeping my money and my passport all together in one convenient, stealable package just doesn't sit right with me.
The logic is that the passport wallet would not be used daily, only when necessary. It'd also have your emergency cash and Sim card and whatnot. Your daily wallet would then be on you.
I've been looking for a passport wallet for the past few weeks... This one is just flat out over priced. ZeroGrid is $20 and zips closed for more security. Slightly thicker maybe but since most people aren't likely to pants pocket carry a passport wallet like this I'm not sure the difference is there for most. I'm still on the hunt for something just like the ZeroGrid but that will carry 2 passports, emergency cash and a backup card or two. Stashed deep into my whatever bag unless I need it at the moment. I moved from a AER Tech Sling 2 to a COB Evo and lost that nifty RFID zip pouch that could easily hold 4 passports.
