Nice tractor. I just got a 1953 B and a parts tractor, extra cultivator frame, cultivators, and a plow. Just a single plow that was original with the tractor.
From what I could see that patch of dirt was cut very square I don't have any allis gear but that little tractor with the duals on looked very nice and the reversible plough absolutely beautiful
My grandpa had the same tractor and the plow but this is first time I have ever seen it used specially with wheels inwards sounds great though my older brother got his guessing I’ll be buying my own soon
Good day Ikon Sees MrNo 5 I live in Ont. Canada OUr neighbor had WD , bought new in 50's ? Anyways he had heavy ground had 3 furrow on that tractor had 125 ac. rd baler & ? no 50 pull type combine. They pull very good, now someone said because plow is close to tractor. I seen some semi-mount 1st furrow is further back than 3 furrow on allis. They were a good name. Thanks
Your ignorance of Old farm equipment shines through. The transmission rear end and bearings can easily handle the strain of 70hp. This tractor only has 29hp.
I have the plow set just little deeper than the manufactures suggested depth. Which is half the width of the moldboard. In this case the moldboard is 14” wide so the depth should be 7”. I have the depth set to 8”.
I also plow at the recommended ground speed which for most Allis tractors is 2nd gear. The tractor can pull the plow easily in 3rd. The down side is that the faster the speed the greater the draft. The greater the draft the more power it needs. The more power the more fuel the tractor consumes.
@@anthonyklein2944 it’s all good! I try to keep the facts straight for all to read. That way there’s no question as to how the tractor and plow were designed to be used. The CA can definitely pull the plow deeper and faster. I thank you for your comments!
