I remember when I was just a kid seeing Ray Lewis in his rookie year with Baltimore at training camp. I remember seeing him deliver a hit during a drill that cracked so loud I swear to this day made my ears ring.

I remember back in 2005 I was watching a Ravens game with a friend of mine who hated the Ravens and Ray Lewis. He said he didn't understand why Ray Lewis was the best at that time. I said watch 52 on defense and tell me he isn't in the play tackling a player everytime. Tell me that he is not a sideline to sideline player. About the time we got to halftime he was like I understand now. He's amazing. He was like I have never seen anything like it.

You have to watch Ed Reed. He was a teammate for a decade with Ray Lewis, and like Ray, he’s arguably the best of all time at his position. It was incredible having two all-time greats playing together for so long. They were brothers. Reed is entering the Hall of Fame this year, just one year after Ray made it. Both made it in on their first opportunity to make it as they were so great. Oh yeah, and Ed Reed was a monster at getting interceptions which is always fun to watch. Had the record for longest interception returned for a touchdown, but then it got broken like many records do, except the guy who broke it was Ed Reed. Always making history out there.

I think u would like watching Kordell Stewart aka Slash. He primarily played Quarterback but he got the name slash because they would use him at multiple positions. He played Wide Receiver, Kicker, Punter, Kick off returner, and punt returner also. He was just an all around football player. No matter where you put him he made plays.

Mr. Scrooge. As ravens fan, I hated Jerome Bettis, not in a negative way, but in a rivalry way, you hate em cause u fear and respect em... I seen that man run over would-be tacklers every weekend, but I never seen anyone hit the bus like that.

Ray will always be known for those bone rattling hits. That being said, the most impressive things about him are his mind and his will. He was a genuine genius at defensive football and would know before the snap what the offense was going to do. That reduced the play to a "seek and destroy mission" at which he obviously excelled. His will can be seen in the relentless manner in which he pursued every single play. However, I think the finest example is, in his final season, coming back to play and LEAD his team to a title.....with a tricep torn from the bone. I highly recommend watching anything you can find on him breaking down schemes. If you are a "Scheme and personnel" guy like me, it is truly fascinating.

The 00-01 Ravens defense is high up on my list of favorite things in all of sports. It wasn't a traditional defense, it was just a swarm of purple jerseys going wherever the ball was, like bees attacking an invader.

If you love Ray Lewis watch Lawrence Taylor. Linebacker for the NY giants. He's considered to be the greatest linebacker ever. Some call him the greatest football player and pure athlete ever. He was soo good they had to create new offenses to try and stop him. It didn't work though. He was still unstoppable. If you thought Ray Lewis wad scary and intimidating wait until you watch Lawrence Taylor. He terrorized the league. He caused pure fear in opponents. Literally broke a quarterback's leg and would knock dudes out. He literally revolutionized the game on both sides. Think about this. He was so unstoppable they had to literally create new schemes, new offenses just to try and slow him down. He forced coaches to become more innovative. If that's not revolutionizing a whole sport then what is? Please watch him. It will be some of the greatest and most brutal video you will ever see. He was the Mike Tyson off football! Facts!
