Best way for me to encapsulate bo Jackson is this, speed of Vick and strength of Earl Campbell. Most of you kids don’t remember the bo knows commercials. He was damn near as popular as m J. It was a damn shame that he never could recover from the hip injury. In essence he had 2 much horse power for his own good.

There is no comparison to Bo Jackson's speed. NOBODY was faster than Bo Jackson. Tim Brown played WR for the Raiders. They had a couple of Olympic gold medal sprinters playing for their team at WR over the years. Al Davis LOVED fast players. Tim Brown was interviewed, they asked him, "Who would win in a race between those Olympic sprinters and Bo Jackson?" Tim Brown just said, "NOBODY was faster than Bo Jackson."

I was 8 years old in 1988 and I remember all of us kids wanting to be Bo, not Jordan, if Bo didn't get hurt he would be considered the greatest athlete ever, I still do, the things he did in the short time we got to see him were unreal, that throw from the left field wall was inhumane, outright cruel, Reynolds was one of the fastest men in MLB, on the gridiron he could run around everyone on the field or run them over, pick your poison, he probably could have been an Olympic sprinter and long jumper, not to mention discus, javelin and hammer thrower, finally if fully healthy Bo Jackson would be my first pick all time NFL player. BO KNOWS!!!!

The video that you watched didn't do Bo justice. Bo in the late 80's, early 90's was THE man on everything you can imagine. He had his own shoe line from Nike and he had many popular commercials with Nike Bo Knows campaign (Look it up, it's great). Just like other people have said, you have to watch ESPN 30 for 30 on Bo to really know why people talk great about him. He was clocked on the 40 yard dash at 4.13 seconds. That's unbelievable considering his size. Enjoying your videos!!

You need to watch his college football highlights. He's just simply amazing. Greatest athlete in human history, period.

We can all talk for days about the things he was able to do, and what he might have been able to do if he hadn't been injured. But, to me, the best summation of Bo is this: He was an all-star in a sport that he played in his FREE TIME.

Bo Jackson made playing both sports look effortless to him. For the most part, he looked like a man playing against your local high school sports teams it looked so easy. I was watching that game and knew his career was over in both sports once that happened. His hips are where all of the power was generated from I actually cried when it happened.

He also is a master bow hunter and marksmen. He can continually shoot a bull's-eye with an arrow with his feet 30 yards away. Between 84-91 the Bo Jackson world wide hysteria happened. BO KNOWS GREATNESS.

The day after that last throw around the 12:00 mark, the story made the front page with the headline "The Throw". Usually a guy needs to throw it to a baseman or a shortstop first and that guy needs to throw it to home plate. The 30 for 30: You Don't Know Bo documentary is amazing. I think it's on Netflix.

Man it hurts to watch that play where he is injured. He was so athletic that he literally ripped himself apart. I can’t watch it without having such a great feeling of loss. The man would’ve broken every record in nfl history that he could’ve. Fastest and most powerful runner I’ve ever seen without a doubt.

The sad part was that medicine didn't diagnose his injury correctly. They could have saved his hip if they treat it correctly

When Bo got injured it was one of the saddest things ever in sports. He was remarkable. No one would be asking "who is Bo Jackson" if he hadn't been injured.

When he threw out Harold Raines tagging up from third on a Sac Fly just off the warning track. He had a cannon for an arm also.

Best athlete ever. He was incredible. His dislocated hip injury was devastating. No one has ever proved to me that they are more athletic than Bo Jackson. So glad that I got to see him play.

It's a shame his career got cut short. He was a marvel to watch. As a Bama fan we were happy to see him graduate and leave Auburn, but proud of him as a stand up and awesome Alabamian. He was an all-star in advertising too. The "Bo Knows" ad compain was one of the best ever.

+Allure Vision Watching your (admittedly) amateurish commentary on various sports legends is refreshing and soothing lol. Hard to explain, but I think part of it is knowing that you're commenting while not being the biggest sports fan makes it enjoyable to watch/listen from someone giving her raw opinion. And honestly, for someone who isn't much into sports, you're pretty damn good in the commentary department, girl! Regarding Bo Jackson, IMO he was THE greatest physical specimen/talent in the history of American sports. That's a VERY bold proclamation, but he not only excelled (and I mean EXCELLED) at TWO professional sports, at each sport's highest level, but for various parts of the year, he was playing both sports simultaneously. Just a freakish athlete, and to top it off, just a good country dude, a good guy. But AV (have to call you "AV" 'cause I don't know your name), ya gotta do me a solid and do a hockey commentary on The Great One, Wayne Gretzky. Bo might have been the greatest physical specimen/talent ever, but NO ONE could match what Gretzky did, statistically-speaking, in ANY professional sport. For example, Gretzky tallied an incredible 2857 points (894 goals, also a record; 1963 assists, also a record), and the #2 all-time leading scorer is a guy named Jaromir Jagr, who is currently 46 years old, with 1921 total points (766 goals; 1155 assists). Now to give some perspective, if Gretzky never scored a single goal over his career, just his 1963 assists alone would still place him as the all-time leading scorer (1963 vs. 1921), and Gretzky also accumulated those gaudy stats in 246 FEWER games than Jagr has played! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-RCrUcovi820.html

Bo was a larger than life figure back in the day. He had to play a full 162 game baseball season (at least 81 games on the old nasty Kaufman Stadium fake turf), then play football as a featured power back. Deion Sanders also tried this, but he was a defensive back, and not subjected to the physical demands that go with being a running back. As great as he was, there is a sadness of "what might have been" if it hadn't been for The Tackle.

A lot of people forget how big of a household name he was. The "Bo Knows" commercials. His shoe deal with Nike was just as big as Jordan's if not bigger and those shoes are still the most favorite pair of shoes I've ever had. Some people will remember just after leading off in the All Star game and smashing that homer the network went to commercial and right into a Bo Knows commercial. That sent him into the stratus sphere as far as fame is concerned. Bo Jackson is the greatest athlete to date.
