Insight upon insight. I am excited by what you brought out in these chapters. The Book of Mormon is exactly what it professes to be--an authentic Hebrew record. Your work has fortified my testimony of that.

THANK YOU for sacrifing time out of your personal lives to share your knowledge with all of us!! I love your enthusiasm for the Gospel and the way Lynn that you continually refer back to how Joseph Smith could not have made up The Book of Mormon or anything like unto it anything like unto it. This has helped my husband. Thank you!

I love learning from you both! I love how your videos stick to the verses in the scriptures and you keep the definitions of ancient words and historical culture more as side notes and helpful explanations but you don't let those things distract from the priority of studying the scriptures in the lesson. Thank you!

Don LeFevre, a past church spokesman said that the LDS Church and in outdated reference to such policies, "strongly advises its members not to affiliate with organizations that are secret, oath-bound, or would cause them to lose interest in church activities." A more tolerant statement is found in the book Encyclopedia .

I really appreciate your teaching and your knowledge is great. Have you happened to have heard of Chief David Midegah? He is also very interesting and has a great knowledge of his ancestors who came to the Promised Land from the beginning. I would love to hear about your thoughts on this? Thank you and Love you both. King Benjamin's speech did not mention these parts. Is these mentioned in Alma's speech (Mosiah 27 or Alma 5)? 23:28 Ammon will talk about, I was in the darkest abys, or they were snatched. They saw a marvelous light. He talks about singing the redeeming love. These are all phrases from King Benjamin's speech.

According to Alma 29:1,3 why was it sinful for Alma to wish that he could be transformed into an angel so that he could speak repentance unto many people but okay for the apostle John to desire to remain alive until Christ returned so he could bring many souls to salvation (D&C 7)?
@dtmelanson
@dtmelanson Месяц назад
It appears to be about being “content with the things which the Lord hath allotted unto me.” And not desiring “more than to perform the work to which I have been called”. He appears to know this would not be right for him. By contrast John is told “For if you shall ask what you will, it shall be granted unto you.” The Lord is giving him permission to ask.

@@dtmelanson Where did God ever tell Alma that he was not to perform at the level of an angel?

@@dtmelanson Are you content with the things which the Lord has currently allotted to you or would you sin and desire that God would give more spiritual gifts without waiting for Him to grant you permission?

Why would the antiNL’s believe that they could not or would not be forgiven if they sinned after having repented? 7 times 70. It was not sinful to protect your self or your family - ask Captain Moroni. When they first repented they were not the worst possible sinners - they were people who didn’t know the gospel because of the teachings of their fathers.

Anti Nephi Lehis - Nephi at this time was the name of a place, the headquarters of the Lamanites, not the old Nephite prophet.

Problems with the AntiNLs: - [ ] Sinful for them to defend selves and families? - [ ] Christ would not or, indeed, could not forgive them if they sinned after being forgiven for great sins (although their sins were really “in ignorance”)? - [ ] Moroni killed some of his people who refused to fight! - [ ] As was the cutting off of arms, this is a terrible missionary tool, not something to be celebrated.
