Glad the videos are helping out! I grabbed scratch the dog and the quasit from act 1 so I summon those and attack them right before then go into turn based mode. You can just shoot an ally and get the charges. Bow doesn't do too much damage
I was able to beat him in two turns by using stealth. Put my gloomstalker ranger right behind him, cast haste on my ranger with Gale, then whaled on him with like 7 attacks. I use the Knife of the Undermountain King which gives advantage if the enemy is concealed, plus I have a ring that doesn't allow me to be blinded. Caste darkness at my feet (I'm a drow), and I get basically two free turns of multiple attacks with advantage. Think I did about 80 damage to him before anyone else even attacked lol. Cleaned him up with an eldritch blast from Wyll
i unfortunately don't have a good answer lol. On a previous playthrough he was ready for the ambush like what you mentioned and this time around I saw them walking down. Maybe it's an option I picked with Raphael or it could just be rng. Game is wonky sometimes
If you walk up to the steps there he will start a dialogue where you can convince him that you'll try and get him out of his contract with raphael. then he moves down there and it makes the fight a bit easier
got an extra action from haste and then when you get a kill you get another action from bloodlust. At 5 the martial classes get another attack after an action. Can do some interesting things with turn based mode
yea you can go EK, do the pact and swap over ot thief for a bit. 11 is looking like EK or Champion if you're using Warding Bond or keeping distance. Barb multiclass feels good throughout all of the progression. I played around with EK at 11 but I was trying against a room with 15 to 20 mobs so wasn't the best testing ground lmao
@@Archeaon yep EK can put the pact on the weapon and can swap out of it if you want to. I was messing around with Gloomstalker variations and also assassin ones. Getting the surprise on some of these act 3 enemies seems less consistent
