I love coming back and watching your videos! I have swam into some gnarly shore break in my day - Sandy’s in Oahu, Big Beach in Maui and the Wedge in Newport being some of the biggest. After almost drowning at the Wedge, I never even considered challenging Cabo shorebreak. Know your limits, know when to push them and when to sit it out.

-That Lands End/Cabo area somewhat reminds me of a beach on the South coast of Iceland, just South-Westwards of a cool little village/town in Iceland named: Vyk Myrdal (About an hour n' 20 minutes drive from Reykjavik) -Just around the corner of VIK's black sand beach exists a point of tall, imposing SleeStaks/SeaStax, on the South-Westside of those dragons 'teef is 'Reynisfjara Beach' near its south eastern point of rocks near the point, is the rather large 'Halsanefshellir Cave. Around that cave are stacks of columnar basalt, huge hexagonal stacks, or tubes of basalt formed from volcanic activity in the area. Pretty impressive location! -But Reynisfjara beach is pretty dangerous & tends to EAT unwary, unsuspecting tourists for breakfast, lunch & dinner annually, with sudden, unannounced swells of 'sneaker' rogue waves, as it sits directly towards open seas, the beach isnt as steep as Cabo, but steep enough, dropping pretty deep directly off the islands land shelf 4 or so miles from the beach itself. The tallest of waves there recorded being as high as 120 feet, or tall as a 10 story building!.... -Gorgeous, dangerous & IMMENSE power generated with those waves. DEF worth a visit. Iceland, its peoples & myriad features of natural beauty are truly unrivaled. If you dont immediately hear distant strands of Led-Zep's 'Immigrant Song' sailing the winds upon debarking the aircraft @ Keflavyk airport, your either doing it wrong (Or THOR, the local cloud-seeding Viking D.J has nod'd off before youre arrival, or possibly enjoying a game of chess with one of the local Frost-Giants...;)

I don't know who that guy is, cody or w/e, but he needs to go back to the hot tub and stay there for a bit. Absolutely everything was wrong. everything lol. Had the bad juju for the ocean that day, gotta know when to back out and cleanse your soul a bit. Ocean will DESTROY you if you aren't in sync or if you have shit awareness paired with bad decisions.

Wimeia Bay shorebreak (super steep beach) got me once. Thanks to the Pro Surfer who came back in and shared his board and guided me to shore by telling me when to swim my ass off. Same thing, crawling up the beach on all fours thanking God for sparing me.

If people don't understand this (and I am a strong swimmer but non surfer), I got got by a 4 foot wave in Bridlington UK. All I remember is... Body slam, face full of sand ( which way is up which is down) head pops up and Bam repeats. Add the same thing a couple more times plus the panic and just as your washed ashore trying to breathe... Boom another hits you! Mother nature doesn't fuck about and even though you all maybe laughing at me... It's true! Now I try to imagine myself in those waves, Yeah I'm fuckin dead! Edit: probably 1 foot waves mother nature does not fuck around!

Wow, this guy is great at capturing footage... very interesting subject. I'm writing from the igloos of Canada (!) nowhere near the ocean. This is cinematography at its finest IMO, albeit limited to one location. Stoked I stumbled accross this video, via the great umbrella beach saga. Looking forward to watching more of these videos.
