I have a '22 Challenger Scat Pack Shaker edition. Not only is it lock in my shop behind the house, I have the Lo-Jack ststem. On top of that and, the thing I believe the most effective, I installed the "Car lock" system which is a device which plugs into the OBDII port, a spacial cable leaves the port open at a glance and hides the dongle up behind the dash panel. So once it's in place, the CarLock monitors all aspects of the vehicle and reports it to you in real time. If someone tries to enter the vehicle, you get a notification. If someone tries to start your vehicle, you get notified. If the vehicle is driven,you get a notification. If it .over outside your specified perimiter,you get a notification. It's a very efficient and constantly evolving service with good people, so far during my experience. It's an added layer of security over an alarm and Lo-Jack, keeping you and the authorities. It's reasonably priced by either the month or the year. I have one on my new Challenger and my '74 Road Runner and I always know if someone else tries messing with my car. 😊
Sorry to hear about this, Burnsey. My car came with stickers in every window to warn would be thieves that the vehicle is tracked by law enforcement. I kinda think they were trying to disconnect your car's U-connect system and "disconnect" the car, so that it wouldn't tracked. Luckily, they weren't seasoned pros. Kid at my work had his catalytic converter on his 2004 Escape stolen by pros. They were in and out in about 30 seconds.
Just came across your video bud, I know the feeling 😞 it affects you mentally in all different ways I was on vacation in Austin and my 21 Ram 1500 got broken into same window, I called Austin PD and apparently it was going to take 24 hours to get an officer to attend me or an investigator I didn't even live in the area and wasn't going to sit at the damn hotel for 2 days it ruined my vacation luckily I only lived about 4 hours away I started calling the glass shops on my way home and luckily got it replaced cheaper than the dealership and Installed the same day luckily nothing was stolen but it sure does bring you down just to think that somebody broke into your vehicle not knowing who the heck it was. I didn't feel the same way after that went ahead and traded it in..... I highly recommend getting an aftermarket alarm that comes with shock sensors. And tinting your windows gives you better security and avoids having that much glass flying all over the place God forbids getting broken into again.
I'm sorry that happened to you, glad your car wasn't stolen, sucks that you had to go through that, I'm always scared of that happening when I park mine places, shouldn't be that way, we shouldn't have to drive a car we don't want because the car we love might get stolen.
