i hope my new challenger scatpack will be ok because i wasn't aware about the first 500 miles that we had to take it easy.. I was aggressively driving here and there then i read the owners manual.

Glad to hear you're happy with the Charger! They are such great all around cars.

Thanks Scottie. They really are great all around cars. Great mix of daily driving or tearing up the roads.

Good review! I totally agree with you, it's amazing how comfortable this car is with the level of performance it's capable of, I love taking long road trips in this car. The a8 transmission is so good especially in track mode that I don't regret not having a manual transmission.

Thanks!! I have been drive like a mad man lately. at about 1000 miles already in 3 weeks. lots of trips back and forth working on the boat. I threw it in Eco mode which is mega restrictive but I got 26.5 MPG at about 75-78 mph over 60 miles today. Cant complain about that. yeah the 8A is truely amazing. I love messing with the drive modes. so awesome to have all of those options.

@@BurnseysRT You are almost at the 1500 mile mark to do a track day. That is some great fuel mileage. You can really change the character of the car with the drive modes.

Wide body Charger are different beast. Can't see the top of the flares when in the car so no idea where the front wheels are in relation to curb since they stick out past the top of the fender. Curbed one of the Redeye wheels in the first month of ownership.
@BurnseysRT
@BurnseysRT 3 года назад
Oh man. I unfortunately could totally see how that can happen and I would do that myself for sure. That is a really good point. The wide body is badass though.

How about the difference in the sound of the exhaust? I first test drove a Challenger RT with the 5.7L & 6M way back in 2019. I thought the car sounded freakin' amazing when the throttle opened up, but I thought it was too big and heavy to drive with a manual, which is why I was looking at it. This year there was a scat pack widebody with a manual near me, so I took it for a test drive. It drove absolutely amazingly, but to me it didn't sound as good as the 5.7L, or at least it wasn't as deep or guttural. I bought it, though, because it drove so well, was so fun to drive. I'm still haunted by that 5.7L sound, or am I just remembering it wrong?
@BurnseysRT
@BurnseysRT 3 года назад
The drive of the 6.4 is unmatched. I love it over the 5.7. Not remembering wrong at all. I thought the exact same thing. The 6M 5.7 exhaust experience is amazing. The 6.4 may have a louder cold start but on the road I think I prefer the 5.7. The one thing that I love about the 6.4 exhaust is once the exhaust carboned up and broke In the exhaust it does pop on deceleration which is really cool IMO. I love that. The 5.7 does have a old school muscle car sound.
@FrankMopar
@FrankMopar 3 года назад
@@BurnseysRT Yeah, I soon as I take my foot of the gas, I hear that popping. Downshifting and then engine braking also sounds amazing. I think part of the difference in the two motors is that extra 110 hp. The tuning is probably a little more aggressive. You don't really ever want to drove like a normal person in it, whereas the base R/T is the almost the opposite.
@BurnseysRT
@BurnseysRT 3 года назад
@@FrankMopar totally agree. I love the highway pick up between 65-80. That really pins ya back in your seat. That’s with the 8A but I am sure there is a similar range that does the same with the 6M. For me the drive modes are amazing. I love having them over the RT. Track mode shifts are insane.

Hey man. I loved the 5.7!! For me the driving in the Challenger with the kids became a little annoying for the kids in the back seat. Comfort was fine but when the pandemic hit and I was working from home I dropped and picked them up all of the time ! Prior I was the only person in the car 90% of the time. So I was gonna go back to the Charger and figured this would be my last and only chance to get a 392. I couldn’t be happier. The 5.7 was awesome though. Mated with the 8 speed auto it ran so well.

I was wondering what the city was like 6.4 vs 5.7 in city. I get 17.7 but from people I ask with 6.4 it's about 14
@BurnseysRT
@BurnseysRT 3 года назад
Hey man! City mileage in the 6.4 is going to be 14-15 mpg legit. I got probably 15-16 in the 6M 5.7. Don’t think you can do any better than 15 city in the 6.4. Idle burns gas quick. Highway is 24-26 mpg depending on how much you can keep it on 4 cylinders. I have shockingly been averaging 18-19 mpg which is as good or better than the 5.7 6M. But my highway driving is smoother and less interrupted. Traffic is still not back to normal.

Another two year lease?
@BurnseysRT
@BurnseysRT 3 года назад
It’s a 36 month lease but my initial thought is to buy it out at the end. The residual is 64% though so not sure how this will work out financially at the end. I know I am not going to get a HC and probably will stick with a Charger so it’s not like I am going to upgrade like I have car over car the last 6-8 years. If it’s running well and makes financial sense to buy it out that’s probably the route I will go but it’s a long time between now and then.

Lmao. Too funny. I would say the same to you if you changed it up. Haha. I was at the gas station yesterday and saw a 2020 Challenger TA 392 with a manual and I did get a little sad and miss driving a 6M. But I think I am at peace with the fact I was able to drive a 6M for a couple years. I am sure in a year or two I’ll flip flop and missing driving it again. Haha. I wish I could get two cars and have a challenger. 6M and a Charger. That would be perfect. Haha. Hope all is well with you and the family. Take Care
