Hello from Alaska.Took a trip to El Yunque when l was a teen (1960's). I remember seeing a parrot.Love seeing these videos.Lived in Puerto Rico for six years,(Rio Piedras,Bayamon).
Lau, siempre disfruto de tus videos aunque las aventuras terminen diferente a como las habías pensado. Eso también es parte de la aventura! Recomiendo tener cintitas biodegradables para marcar aunque sea un árbol de referencia (porsia se pierden) y un gps con puntos predeterminados (incluyendo un punto para saber dónde está el carro estacionado) para tener idea pa donde van. Uno se puede perder bien fácil en los montes de PR (experiencia propia). XD

The area you were exploring probably wasthe PR 930 road that was used to be a loop. I don't want to disappoint you guys but there were not military ruins but old stone and lumber 🪵 cottages for vacation constructed during the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC) and later destroyed. Apparently the road was closed after hurricane María and never restored. There were also camping spots but I guess they were destroyed too by infamous María. But, Let's get lost!
You guys gave me dejavu from when I was in the army doing the land navigation course with just a paper map and a compass. I didn't get lost, even with my compass being 2 degrees off to the right. I found my points though! I am living vicariously through your videos and Hippie's. You know how many times tourists get lost because they went off trail? Ustedes están locos!
I’ve heard from family that you go into El Yunque take a tour guide that knows the area extremely good. Some of the food you and your friends ate looked really good . I’m a big fan of Selena I was enjoying listening to her songs being played in the background. ❤️I hope you are getting a little rest for the New Year ! Blessings 🙏🏼
Nope, not the only one, we have rainforests satellite forests throughout the island. El Yunque is the ONLY rainforest on the USA(territorial). Toro Negro, Guilarte, and so forth...

I absolutely love your videos because I am the same exact way that you are when it comes to adventure. I live in Atlantic City New Jersey right now but at the end of the month I will be moving to Guyanilla Puerto Rico for good. Sabias que el yunque es una de las puntas del triángulo de las Bermudas? Cuando joven visite el Yunque varias veces y bueno varias experiencias raras ocurrieron teníamos una brújula que se volvía loca en algunos puntos en el Yunque.
Si! Quizás por eso tiene tanto misterio… mi amiga al igual que otras conocidos míos han tenido experiencias super raras. Pero eso es lo mas mágico de ahi 👀
